"These people are crooks! Kept telling me the projector lamp was due in any day (probably never ordered) It took almost 3 months to get my money back. They said they had to issue the refund by check. Then 1 month later they credited my charge card. BTW Amazon sent me the bulb in 3 days.
A word to the wise - -do not purchase anything here!!

"I do not recommend that you order anything from this company. I placed an order, my credit was charged but I was never notified that the item was back ordered. Finally, after 60 days of waiting for my bulb, I canceled my original order. I was told it would take at least 30 days for the my credit card to be credited back. This means this company has had my money for over 90 days while I receive nothing but a charge on my credit card. Furthermore, if you attempt to contact Projector Lamp Center, you will wait forever before getting a response. If you need a bulb visit B & H Photo & Video. B & H will communicate with and should you need to cancel an order it will be processed immediately. "

"Utterly ridiculous and preposterous!!!

Let me recount my first and most definitly my LAST experience with this pathetic company.

I bought a Hitachi CP-X885W Replacement Lamp [OEM EQUIVALENT] on a Tuesday and paid for 2 day shipping. The sales representative, Grant Rinehart, assures me it will arrive on Friday. I needed the lamp by the weekend so that worked out great.

Friday comes, no lamp. I call and Mr. Rinehart is unavailable (how convenient). I get sent to customer service and spoke to 2 different representatives who just brush me off and says these things happen. So much for dependability.

Do they offer me any form of compensation? Do they even try to right this wrong? do they try to rebuild this relationship with me? do they try to make amends for their mistakes? HECK NO!!! All they can do is cancel my order.

All I'm saying is, does NO ONE at this company take responsibility for their actions?

"WARNING!!! WARNING!!!! WARNING!!!!
THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FOR FRAUD AND THEFT. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM PROJECTOR LAMP CENTER!! I ORDERED A REPLACEMENT BULB FROM PLC IN AUGUST 2008. AFTER TWO MONTHS OF TELLING ME THE PRODUCT WAS "RESCHEDULED" TO SHIP I REQUESTED A REFUND. I THEN WAS TOLD "REFUNDS ARE MADE ONLY BY COMPANY ISSUED CHECK AND TAKE UP TO 30 BUSINESS DAYS TO BE ISSUED." AFTER TWO MONTHS I STILL HAD NOT RECEIVED A CHECK AND TO MY SURPRISE WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT PLC I DISCOVERED THAT THERE CUSTOMERS CAN NO LONGER CONTACT THE COMPANY DIRECTLY BY PHONE AND MUST DO SO ONLINE. IN ADDITION I AM VISION IMPAIRED (THE REASON I HAVE A DLP PROJECTOR IN THE FIRST PLACE) AND WHEN I ADVISED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP "SHANE" THAT THEIR SITE DID NOT PROVIDE VISION IMPAIRED ACCESS, HE SAID I SHOULD GET SOMEONE TO HELP ME FILE A REFUND REQUEST ONLINE. WHEN I REQUESTED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR HE RESPONDED "NO SUPERVISORS ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME." WHEN I REFERRED HIM TO MY ATTORNEY AND ADVISED HIM THAT I WOULD FILE AN ADA (AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT) DISCRIMINATION CASE AGAINST THEIR COMPANY FOR FAILURE TO PROVIDE ACCESS, MY PHONE RANG. WHEN I ANSWERED IT WAS GRANT FROM THE CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER ASKING ME "WANT I WANTED" I ADVISED HIM THAT I WANTED MY REFUND, HE SAID THAT COMES FROM ANOTHER DEPARTMENT. I ADVISED HIM THAT I WANTED TO SPEAK TO THAT DEPARTMENT HE SAID I CAN'T AND THAT HE WOULD CONTACT THEM ON MY BEHALF AS OF THIS POST I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A COMMUNICATION. IT HAS BEEN 5 MONTHS SINCE I PLACED THIS ORDER. I MAY NEVER SEE THE MONEY I SPENT ON THE BULB BUT I ASSURE YOU I WILL DO EVERYTHING THAT IS LEGALLY WITHIN MY POWER TO PREVENT THIS DESPICABLE OPERATION TO CONTINUE TO RIP OFF AND DISCRIMINATE AGAINST THE PUBLIC. "Project Lamp Center spent 3 months attempting to deliver a lamp I ordered. The order was placed on 8/11 and was subsequently canceled in early November. I have still not received my refund. I was told directly by two different customer support reps that this was being handled. My girlfriend called back weeks later and was told we had to send an email. We sent the email and have STILL not received our refund. This is a rip-off and completely unacceptable. My assumption is that Projector Lamp Center is assuming that I will not retain legal counsel over 200 dollars. They are probably right. Aside from reporting this to my credit card company as a theft, which it is, and talking to the Better Business Bureau, there is very little I can do to recover this money."

"I called the 800 number from the web site and talked to Brooks. He took my order and said I'd have the bulb in two days. Today is a week later. The 800 number is no longer on the website. I found the number I called last week but only get a recording to use the chat on the website. The following is the chat:

JohnL: I'm sorry this has taken so long, as it stand now the order has not shipped, the ETA you were given was the correct information, However, the ETA was extended by the maker> My vendor has advised me this will be drop shipped from the manufactures location to you. Once this ships you will receive an email with you tracking information. We will also be checking with a number of other vendors that carry this item. If they have it in stock we will get it shipped ASAP
John: No. I want a refund now.
JohnL: Ok I can get that order canceled, I must advise you of the company policy on refunds...... refunds are submitted to the customer only in the form of a check, refunds for cancellation usually take 30 business days to be processed and them mailed to the customer
John: No. I will stop the payment on the credit card or you can reverse it. Which will it be?
JohnL: unfortuatnely i can not reverse the charge sir. I can only advise you of the company policy

John: Why is your 800 phone number no longer on your website and why are you no longer answering your phones?

John: I'd like you to send me an email now stating that you have not shipped the product, you do not have the product (after you told me you had it in stock), you do not know when you'll get the product, and you do not know when I'll get the product.
JohnL: That ETA has not been relayed to use from the maker as of yet.
John: Just send me an email stating all of the above.
JohnL: Yes sir, i need you to confirm weather or not you are keeping the order.
John: You don't need to confirm anything. If you are a legitimate business, you will be decent enough to let your customer know that there is a problem with this order. An email does not cost you anything.
JohnL: Sir i"m sorry i thought i made myself clear, At one point during this chat you stated you wanted a refund and stated you would dipute the charges. I need to know that you still want to keep the order.
John: What difference does that make?
JohnL: Because of statement made earlier in this chat, i need to have it confirmed, if that is something you are now willing to do sir, i have no choose per upper management to cancel the order and let the charge back threat stand.
John: The more I hear from you, the less I like it. This is not the way a legitimate business operates. Are you going to send me an email or not?

"Placed an order on June 24, 2008 and was told the lamp was currently unavailable (after they had already charged my credit card). I cancelled order on Jul 16 and have been trying since then to get my refund. (Today's date 12/8/08.) They have been very good at ignoring phone calls and e-mails. Interestingly, I placed the same order with buy.com and had the merchandise in 3 days.

"I placed an order for Next Day Air on 9/3/08, after calling to confirm that they did indeed have the lamp I needed. Well, needless to say, it didn't show up the next day, so I called and canceled the order. The guy on the phone even gave me a cancellation number.
Well now it's two days later, and it shows up anyway. I call, and email for three weeks before I can finally get someone there to give me a return number, and send it back.
It was shipped back to them via UPS (I have all the tracking and delivery confirmation details) on 9/26, as per their instructions. Today is 12/1, and I have yet to receive a refund. I even filed a complaint with the BBB last month. Still nothing.
Do NOT buy from this company.

The first four times I called someone promised to call back later the same day with a tracking no. - they lied. "Like everyone else, I've been taken for an expensive ride. I placed my order in July 2008. After severals weeks of patience I decided to call. I was told the lamp was on back order. Then it would be delivered within five business days. The third excuse was that I was in line with schools, universities, and other businesses who were revamping thier inventory for the fall season. It was with the third phone call and lie that I cancelled the order. Since August 22, 2008 I have been waiting for a refund. I started calling September 23, 2008. Today is November 10th. Does anyone think I've seen one cent of my money or had anyone return a phone call to me? NOPE! Then I checked out PLC's blog site, which exalts its good customer service and states there is only a minority of dissatisfied customers. Will one happy customer please stand up? NOPE?!? I wonder why....."

"I purchased two lamp for my church two weeks ago.
I just received the one lamp. (the other lamp is still coooooooooming~~~)
They sent me the defected one, but they chaged 15% of restocking fee for return.
The lamp is easily broken and malfunctioned.
Their costomer service is the worst~!!!!
They were insulting the customer and just hang up.

Please DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE.
I AM TELLING YOU THAT YOU GONNA REGRET.

"I can sadly confirm that all of the other reviews are accurate. They keep promising that the order "will arrive tomorrow" and it never comes. Sales rep Julie Newman, customer service "manager" Amber, and everyone I dealt with never kept their word or returned phone calls. My only consolation is that I work for a university and we do not make payments until the items arrive. We still lost valuable time waiting though..."
