Horrible service .

"After being put on hold for 30 minutes I wanted to add a new car to my policy for full coverage the lady I spoke with on March 20th Wednesday night was very rude said she could not tell me how much it would cost . I asked her if she could give me an idea at least of how much my monthly payments would be and she said I have no idea I can’t not tell you that . I asked to speak with someone else she said I was not aloud to and that everyone one else that works there will tell me they can not give me a price quote . So now I’m signed up for a policy on my car but I have no idea how much it’s going to cost me . I also asked for full coverage at least 5 times but she did listen to a word I said and only gave me liability . Very disappointed don’t recommend."

"The Auto Insurance is reasonable, but the Road Side service they provide is horrible. It took 2 days for me to get my vehicle towed. I will be searching for a more reliable, concerned Insurance Company. And customer service reps. have no internal personal skills."

Agents don’t advocate for you

"I was in a car accident where I was hit from behind and it was still deemed my fault. I do not believe my insurance agent advocated for me at all. I have a difficult time speaking up for myself and try to be honest, he took advantage of that. As I was explaining my side, he made me feel crazy and kept tripping me up on small details, including my address. I had a more pleasant experience talking to the other person’s insurance. Directly following this accident, I got taken off the insurance. The agent had been so stuck on my address. I had recently graduated college in Philadelphia where I still have an apartment but I spend most of my time at my home address in New Jersey, just using my apartment for work. In my interview, he kept trying to trip me up on the address to determine I didn’t live in New Jersey so he could take me off the insurance. These agents do not care about you and are only looking to screw you over. I feel so humiliated after my experience with progressive. Go with any other insurance."

Increased my payment 3 months into my contract.

"Progressive just definitely lost a customer. They increased my premium $80 because they claimed they didn’t receive a picture if my odometer, even though they did. I spoke to 4 different people, and they only took $5 off the increase. **** poor customer service, I hope to never use this insurance again."

I was so excited that I finally found a good one, but I was wrong

"Recently switched insurance to Progressive after looking for a very long time trying to get the perfect insurance. Unfortunately they’re the same as all the others. Hard to trust a company that you pay good money for when you’re constantly lied to and misinformed. They have you jump through hoops, you do everything they tell you to do and then every time you call back it’s a different story, and then you’re stuck as usual. Haven’t been with them a month yet and I’m already so unhappy with this company. After all this time trying to make sure I chose the right one before securing. Now I have to take all that time over again, and find another one."

"I have had nothing but problems since I started using Progressive for my auto insurance. They are always adding people to my account and insuring them without my permission, they constantly find ways to hike up my rates without notifying me, and they won't work with me to change my payment date two days later. Forget trying to talk to customer service about it because no one is willing to help you and they just repeat the same information the automated system and chatbot will tell you. Nobody at this company cares about the customer. I will definitely be looking for another auto insurance company ASAP."

Raising Rates constantly for reasons that are not my fault.

"Been with this company since 2017. Never missing a payment. Clean driving record with no accidents for 25 years. And they keep raising my rates. Greedy company with no individual recognition for safe driving. Well I have finally had it. I'm leaving this company. My money spends anywhere. And seems how I have never even added a minute to a claims department rep hourly wage. Progressive can rob someone else. "

Terrible - NO VALUE IN BEING LOYAL MEMBER

"Just had a call due to my insurance increasing 11%. Had a family member who swap insurance every 6 month and is currently with Progressive. He had same 2 vehicles, coverage, and zip code but is paying $300-$400 lesser than me. The agent told me that they got huge discount for being a new member, and there's nothing they can do for me who is a loyal diamond 5 years plus member. It appears there is no value in being a loyal customer. Learn from my experience for wanting that loyal title with zero gain and continuous increasing cost over the years. "

MISINFORMED/LIED TO

"Previous policy was near expiring, and I called the customer service line to renew but didn't have my checking and routing numbers available at the time to provide for auto payments. The representative told me that this would be okay and I could call tomorrow and there wouldn't be any penalty since the previous policy expired today.

This was a lie and I was penalized $10 extra and had to make a payment that day. The phone call also took almost half an hour and I was put on several pauses.

Progressive Does This Too?!?! Shame on You Flo!!!

"I just experienced the Bait & Switch with trying to Buy Insurance with Progressive over the Internet. I was told by people that they will never offer you the price when you get ready to pay and start your policy. I even had an Insurance agent tell me to go ahead and try it and see how it goes for me. So it seems there is a whole sub-culture that Progressive practices and actively participates in trying to beat their customers from the very beginning of the relationship. Shame on Progressive!!! They know if you spend all that time on their website answering those time consuming repetitive questions and gathering the mountain of info that is requested you are not likely to quit and start over with all the pain and time to try that all over again again with another insurance company, especially one that has the trusted and liked Flo in the commercials!!! Shane on Progressive. The truth is the amount of money isn't that much but its ridiculous they don't compete to get your business but rather cheat to get you to reluctantly join, dragging your feet because "it's only a few more dollars from......... EVERYONE!!! Shame , Shame on Progressive!!!!"

Truly the worst customer service I have ever received!

"8 months ago my my wife and 1 year old were rear ended by a semi on the interstate while we were in our pickup and enclosed trailer containing motocross bikes and music gear. The driver at fault had Progressive and they assumed full liability for the crash.

Early on I saw great care from one representative. From there I have been transferred between several representatives and it went down significantly.

The last representative I was switched to at month 2 in the process did not returned calls, not kept promises to call to settle, not even fully reviewed our claim after months. I called, emailed, text multiple times a week without any return for months. I had to call the one representative in a different department no less than a dozen times to have her get my representative on the line.

Until today did they finally say the settlement total which less than half of what my family lost in the accident.

Not only have they string along the process additional creating stress for my family on top of being hit by a semi, but they explained the price chalked it up to "policy" and when I referred to poor customer service and time spent with out reimbursement the supervisor simply said "I'm sorry" with no attempts help us in any way.

I would have to say this is some of the poorest customer service I have ever received in my life. I'm truly disgusted with this company.
