"UPDATE: These guys called within hours trying to do damage control. He WAS nice initially and said that he really cared about his customers or he wouldn't be calling to apologize. He said my review was misleading because it threw the whole company into bad light when REALLY it was just the poor actions of ONE employee. After all (and I quote) "if all we were after was removing a bad review we'd just get 10 good reviews and knock you off the front page but we really care about you enough to call". NICE! When I asked why they are misleading people to believe that the 6d was in the same class of cameras as the 5ds he said that was "just my rep's opinion". When I asked him what the bottom line of his phone call was because I was NOT going to remove my review he said "well you can go get your 6d for $1900 because I don't want you business". AND HUNG UP! Ya know... because the purpose of his call is because he loves his customers, not because he wants the review down. SIR - I was't wanting to BUY a 6d. I was buying a 5d. Different class of camera - go do YOUR research.

These people are running a scam. Let me tell you what happened. They advertised the Canon Mark II for $1679 online (http://www.primotronix.com/tron/product_info.php?products_id=17452&osCsid=2d4922f11423fb6ca6236fdebed57076) . I bought it assuming that it was low because it's a discontinued model and what they had was overstock. Three days after order they called me to say that they were out of stock but could sell me the new camera that canon replaced the Mark 2 with which was the 6d for the same price. LOL!!!!! As you may know the 6d is a different class of camera. Canon's replacement for the 5d Mark 2 is the 5d Mark 3 which costs 3k +.I feel bad for the poor soul who doesn't know better. When I pointed this out the guy became belligerent and told me I was an amateur who needed to do my research. He said he'd cancel my order and promptly hung up. OH - and I didn't add that BEFORE he informed me that he didn't actually HAVE the camera I'd ordered he tried to upsell me on cards and batteries. The law probably needs to deal with these people.

Another little update:
And since I KNOW you read your own reviews let me offer you the CORRECT way to handle the situation. Update your database to reflect that you DO NOT carry the 5d mark II and if in error this happens to stay up and someone orders it - call your customer and say "unfortunately that camera was discontinued and the Mark 3 is significantly more expensive. We DO have a 6d which is a different class of camera, it's a lower class but still a really good one and in the same price bracket and if you're willing to consider that option we offer a really good price on those otherwise we can offer you a refund". Had you approached it this way I would have asked for a refund and I wouldn't be writing a review like this.

After reading dozens of nearly identical stories I filed an official complaint with the BBB. They will be investigating the situation. I suggest you pull down ALL inventory that you do not carry on your website and inform ALL your employees not to use shady methods of upselling because it may cost you your business.

"BEWARE!

I lost $3,079.99. Now working with an attorney to get my money back.

I ordered a new NIKON D800 in early June. After fighting for a month they sent me a refurbished D800. I verified the serial number with NIKON and they sent me an email stating the camera was refurbished and that they sold it to Primotronix a week before I received it. They will lie over and over. I gave them every chance to make good and they just laughed at me and hung up no matter how many times I called. Then I had to cancel and get re-issued a visa card as they threatened me that if I go to my bank and file a claim that they had my credit card number and would just re-charge it.

They must have told some lies to my bank and my bank believed them. I still have no product for what they charged my credit card $3079.99.

I ordered the D800 for $200.00 less from buydig.com and received within 24 hours with free overnight shipping.

I am not finished!!!

Updated 10-21-2013: My bank has reopened the case and indicated they made a mistake. I will be getting my money back from my bank hopefully tonight. I just recommend that you go to another more reputable camera store like BuyDig.com, Adorama.com or B&H. They have better prices too.

I don't understand how this company can continue to take advantage of people and continue to do business in this manner. I wouldn't be surprised if they are under multiple investigations at this time. I think a letter to my state (AZ) Attorney General is something I am going to do next.

I learned my lesson the hard way.

"Horrible experience. Stay away. I should have checked reviews before purchasing, but since I've been buying online for years w/o a problem, I trusted. Two weeks ag, yesterday, money withdrawn from my acct. to pay for Samsung NX20. Original order $549, with full US warranty, only to be told it wasn't a Samsung warranty, but w/PrimoTronix. So, I opted for the company warranty and paid an extra $100. Then, as site states, shipping within 24-48 hours. Emails, phone calls get nothing but runaround. Then, was told it would be 10-12 days. I emailed to cancel the order 3 days ago and have received not one word. Hopefully, I will get my money back. Will file complaint with BBB and go further, if I have to."
