"Initially very helpful but deception about when items were shipped. Called and email numerous times and was assured that all of the items were shipped when they actually were not. Was promised again that they would expedite shipping only to find out that was also a deception. Low prices but had to follow up at least six times to get my order. Took them 10 days to get something they had in stock (or so they said) labeled and shipped. Not sure how you can stay in business with this level of ethics. I wont be back"

"I purchased a Sony KDL-55HX850 (55" LED TV) from PSNYC because they had the cheapest price. Contrary to some of the reviews, there was absolutely nothing wrong with this transaction. It arrived to West Texas 6 days after I ordered it. I called several times to inquire about the order; I was never put on hold, and Alex, my sales associate, was always very courteous.

I have noticed a great deal of negative feedback on here involving the "insurance" charge, which I will comment on, because if I had the option, this would have been the reason I gave 4.5 stars instead of 5. I too was assessed a shipping charge ($77 on $2100 order). Indeed, this shipping charge either 1) was buried in the fine print upon checkout; or 2) appeared for the first time on my invoice. That said, even with the "insurance" charge, the price was still considerably lower than pretty much all of the competition.

Accordingly, the only thing that could have made this transaction better would have been a bit more candor.

I would most definitely do business with them again and recommend them to others. I cannot stress how nice it was to be able to call them, have a person (not a machine) answer the phone EVERY time, and request to speak to my sales associate (Alex), who was always there to take my call.

"Placed order on 6/8/12, no confirming email. Got a call on 6/12 saying there would be an extra charge for insurance. After reluctantly accepting I was told my TV would be delivered in 7-10 days. TV was not delivered until 7/5 at which time I called the manufacturer to check the serial number. They told me that I had bought a re-manufactured TV that was over a year old. After multiple calls and e-mails with no help I was forced to file a dispute with my credit card company. Wonder how many "happy" customers have received re-manufactured products?? *Update* 8/03/12 - Delivery service finally called and picked up the TV - still no communication from PowersellerNYC.

"Not good...ordered a TV on 7/9/12 and today is 8/1/12 and still nothing. Constantly getting the run-around from Support line or incompetent Tri-State Freight Co. which they used to ship. Customer service hours of 11-7 EST is a mess also. "

"I tried to purchase a Sony LED HDTV through this company and got a call back from Kevin stating that freight charges and insurance was mandatory to process the order. I refused saying it was not included in the order and should have been applied at the point of sale. I got a run around saying it was up front blah blah blah. I requested to cancel my order at that point and got 50 questions why. I insisted on cancelling my order and got transferred to customer service to talk to Jerry and go through even more BS and run around. This is the 2nd vendor with a NY location that has tried to catch me up in a follow up call insisting that additional charges apply. I have no time for deceptive sales tactics. PowersellersNYC can take a hike!

Now customer service is ringing my phone non stop until i talk to them. I had to disconnect my phone

"Excellent Equipment.
I wish the insurance cost would have been added on to the cost ath the time of purchase. It did not show on the Order receipt from web site at the time of purchase and was notified at phone confirmation
Trucking regular delivery is a bit slow (about Three Weeks).
On the other hand the delivery persons were corteous and did a nice Job.
I am very happy with the final result and saved some money from the local stores.
Would order from this seller again.

"Total ripoff. Dropped HDTV off at curb. I would have had to open it on the street to inspect it so I decided to trust I had received what I ordered. Of course it was similar (same brand and size) but a cheaper model I could have found elsewhere for less. At the time I suspected I was being ripped off but I had to sign that I had inspected it and verified it was what I ordered. Wish I had done some searching before ordering."

EDIT: WOW, if Supervisor call and say go F...K you’re self, Only God can help you from that Co. How big crook they can be?

Even if i am 110% wrong that did not see hiding insurance fee.

"My experience with this company was terrible. I ordered a television from them on May 31. 8-10 days later I called them because I still hadn't even received as much as an e-mail about it. Apparently the hadn't even processed the order yet. 2 weeks after that, I call again, and the tv hadn't even left New York, and they gave me the run-a-round. Another 4-5 days I called back, to cancel my order, and the guy talked me into waiting 24 hours so he can "get to the bottom of it". Then today, he calls back, apparently they've lost my tv, don't have anymore in stock, but would be happy to ship me an upgraded tv if i want to pay even more! I said,"why don't you upgrade my tv for free since this has been such an ordeal?" He literally laughed at me and told me "We're not gonna take a loss on this." Pathetic. This company may be new, but as far as I'm concerned was very unprofessional, very disorganized, and a waste of my time. It is now a month after I ordered my tv, and I have no tv, and have to wait on them to refund my money so I can buy from someone else. Very dissatisfied."

"I wish I could be writing a positive review of PowersellerNYC, but I cannot. I have made numerous online purchases, and have left positive feedback for Reseller merchant member when it is deserved.

Please note that I am a "real person", not a ONE RATING entry who registers and opines that same day. Period. Those I think are a little suspect, whether pro or con. JMHO.

I ordered a 70" Sharp LCD-LED TV May 31. "Free Shipping" and "no hidden charges" was prominently displayed on their online ad.

I received an Invoice confirmation showing the advertised price of $2060 shortly thereafter. A couple of days later I received an email stating verbal conformation was required, and was provided the name Kevin and a toll-free number to call. I was out of town for a couple of days & unable to check my email.

Kevin called me & stated I would be required to pay a little over $100 (4.9%) extra for insurance.

I told Kevin I did not think this was fair and some discussion followed; the call was dropped (AT&T cell phone).

I emailed PowersellerNYC stating I was never informed of the extra insurance charge at the time of purchase and I felt they were obliged to sell me the TV for $2060.

Steve at PowersellerNYC emailed me stating that the potential for separate insurance was stated when I placed the the order. Maybe it was, but I guess I just skimmed over this as typical boilerplate.

Subsequently I went online & noted my order had been cancelled. My CC was not charged. OK, no problem there.

This company offered the best price on the Internet, (and it would have been very decent even with the insurance charge) but I'm uncomfortable with the way they do business.

Guys, maybe a more successful business model would be to state the complete cost up front.

I am sorry I shared very sensitive credit card and personal information with them. I can never get that back, of course.

I would likely have been a buyer if they had shown all charges up front, but the way they did business makes me suspicious of them.

They seem like decent people & all communications were polite & professional, but I'm shopping elsewhere for my TV.
