In today's online consumer world, Poolsupplyunlimited will need to understand that buyers need a good sales but also after sales support.

Their sales team advised me very well to change all my pool equipment: Pump, filter, intellicenter automation, heater and Prawler. The prawler wasn't a good option (need to activate it every day and clean it every day) which doesn't fit my needs (travelling, work...). When i told them that it was a bad recommendation, i had to negociate during 2 days of email. They agreed toe restock it for 15% and i had to ship it. Total, it costed me $200 to send it back and restock it.
I still give them 4 stars as i think they have a great portfolio and are very responsive. "

"Everything was up to par except packaging was to light to take fedex dropping the pump and breaking the support mount for the pump. Didn’t waste my time with complaining since my pool needed to run so I glued it back together and got it hooked up. Pump works great and is nicely quiet. Moves more water than my last pump and pulls less power to boot. "

" I ordered a Pentair Triton TR-60 sand filter tank. Pool Supply Unlimited Did Not inspect the tank before they shipped it to me. The tank looks like a factory second. perhaps that is why they had it at a cheaper price than everywhere else I looked. I definitely would not have bought the tank i received if I had picked it up at a local pool supply store. I thought I was going to save myself a couple bucks but now I have a tank That will probably fail prematurely like the tank I was replacing.
The paint that protects the fiberglass from the UV rays of the sun was not complete and looked like they tried to touch it up at the factory with a brush as you can clearly see brush marks in places. There were fiberglass fibers, cuttings, and what looked like fiberglass saw dust in the bottom of the tank. Brand new from the factory I should not be cleaning the inside of the tank! There were places inside the tank where the fiberglass looked as if it were delaminating already. There were gobs of silicone on the drain valve ?? silicone is not listed on the parts list and is suggestive of a repair job at the factory to get an imperfect tank to pass the leak test and most likely is a future leak waiting to happen.
I know what you are thinking, why didn't I send it back? well I called Pool Supply Unlimited and the first thing they told me was to call Pentair. Pool Supply Unlimited Offered a refund If I called back for a return RMA then I would have to wait for the tank to get back to them and be checked out by them to authorize a refund or replacement. " Its the middle of pool season " I needed the tank 5 days ago! So i just ate it and Installed what they sent me. Mind you I am just the average guy and by doing it myself I voided any warranty that might have came with the tank and any chance to return it. "Parts must be installed by a professional"
So if your purchasing a Pentair Triton Fiberglass sand filter or any expensive pool part, do yourself a favor and get it somewhere you can inspect the Build and quality before you buy it. Fiberglass tanks do have a lifespan, if the fiberglass is not painted properly to keep out the UV rays of the sun and the fiberglass inside the tank isn't installed properly to prevent the tank from absorbing water and becoming weak you will be buying another filter sooner than later! I doubt I will ever be purchasing from Pool Supply Unlimited in the future, it was an expensive lesson but a lesson learned!"
