"DO NOT WALK, RUN FROM THIS COMPANY. Absolutely the WORST experience I have EVER had. They misrepresent items in their pictures and send you the wrong merchandise. They overcharged me for shipping. They took a 2 ounce package and put a false weight of l pound on it and charged $10.61 UPS. It could have been sent by USPS flat rate for $4.90. I returned the merchandise and they only gave a partial refund and did not reimburse for the shipping charge screwup. I am still going round and round with them to straighten out this mess. They keep sending me Return Authorization numbers and UPS return labels for merchandise I have already returned. THIS PLACE IS RUN BY TOTAL IDIOTS!!!!!!"

"WOW I am a very reasonable person and I normally do not care to write reviews about companies. DO NOT ORDER FROM plumbersurplus.com.

I ordered an incorrect color for a sink stopper, because the website had wrong images for different colors. (For example, showing chrome for polished brass, and showing polished brass for chrome.)
I am sorry, you can call me an idiot, but I just went off of what the website picture showed - as silver.

All I wanted was to return the incorrect item and replace it with a new one. and they say ABSOLUTELY NO because it's past the cutoff time.

Come on people, it's called customer service. And you can be so strict with the customer's mistake (missing the cutoff time) while so lenient with your own mistakes??????

"Ordered blue kohler toilet tank flapper replacements for my Memoir toilets; these replacements work better than anything else I could find. PlumberSurplus.com had the best price and their customer service and shipping were FIVE STAR. Excellent company!"

"Do not purchase from this company unless you are very experienced. Website wasn't sufficiently clear for either me or my plumber to clearly see that we were purchasing a toilet in multiple parts. Customer service also not at all helpful or knowlegable. As a result, I have a rather more expensive toilet that functions fine but isn't what I'd hoped for but is far too difficult to exchange. Buyer beware. Also, they make it virtually impossible to review them even when they solicit the reviews."

"Ordered online on 26 Oct 2012, order was still listed as "processing" when I cancelled it on 11/7, item was delivered on 11/13 in damaged/unusable condition due to insufficient packaging. Requested return authorization on 11/13, which was promised "within two business days."
Filed dispute with credit card company on 11/18 after no further communication from vendor. Credit card company was also unable to initiate communication with PlumberSurplus, and called me on 11/21 to give me the OK to discard the damaged merchandise as the charges were removed from my account.

"I needed a replacement pre-rinse head for my Danze kitchen faucet and found the best price on Plumbersurplus.com by doing a Google search by the part number. A quick scan of the website and other review sites did not bring up any alarming reviews, and they offered free shipping on the item I was ordering, so it seemed like a no brainer purchase. I needed the part before Thanksgiving, so I placed the order without further thought. I was able to create an account on the website to check status, and I received a confirmation e-mail right away which was a good first sign.

Since I was eager to get the part, I checked the status more than I normally would and was alarmed that my order seemed to be stuck in the 'processing' stage. After two full days, I started to get a little worried and did a more thorough search of the vendor leading to this site. Of course when I saw the below average rating and horrible reviews, I started to panic! I submitted an inquiry on-line and called customer service first thing in the morning. A customer service rep answered my call pretty quickly, but was unable to help right away as the warehouse was not open yet (2 hour time difference). I fretted for 3 hours waiting for a call back and decided to call again fully prepared to cancel the order on the spot. Again, my call was answered right away, and this time the nice gentleman was able to give me the status of my order right away. My order had already shipped and he was able to give me the tracking information. My order was to arrive the next day! Huge relief! For some reason the status of my order wasn't updated on-line....an offense I am completely willing to overlook. In addition, I received a call back from the first customer rep within another couple hours, and I finally received the e-mail indicating that my order had been updated.

The part arrived the next day as promised. The box was a little crunched (most likely due to handling), and the contents could have been a little better protected (add'l bubble wrap), but the item was not damaged at all. I installed the replacement faucet head, and it works beautifully. I am keeping the paperwork and packaging in case something goes wrong with the item in the next 30 days, but so far so good!

Based on this experience, I would order from PlumbingSurplus.com again.

"Unfortunately, PlumberSurplus is not a service I'd recommend. The part I ordered was put on backorder at some point after I had paid, and they never bothered to send me an e-mail or anything to let me know the item was delayed. I contacted them to figure out when it would actually ship, and they assured me it would be on a certain day. After more than a week PAST that given date, I again contacted them and found out it was still on backorder.

I did eventually receive my part, and there is certainly nothing wrong with it. Unfortunately, the lack of communication with regard to the delay, as well as their unwillingness to even apologize for the inconvenience will ensure that I find future parts elsewhere.

"Do not buy anything from this company!!! I recently purchased a ceiling fan remote through Plumbersurplus.com. The item said that it didn't need any hard wiring, but when we received it, the fan needed to be taken apart and a unit wired into the fan in order for the fan to work. I feel that the description for the remote was deceiving and the company should let me return the item without paying the 20% restocking fee or shipping and handling. On the return page of their website, they say "we will also pay for return shipping charges if the return is due to our error, is damaged or defective". I think this problem is their error so I shouldn't have to pay more money just to return the remote so they can resell it to someone else.

"What can I say? Great prices (super competitive) with free S&H. Genuine Kohler product (no knock off or cheap imitation) so it fit and works perfectly. I will admit it took several days longer to receive it that I was expecting but just a few days and at these prices and everything, I am definitely a repeat customer in the future. I definitely recommend these folks. Zero issues or complaints from me."

"One of the worst customer service experiences that I have ever had to suffer. I really wish that I had read the reviews here before purchasing through them. The item I purchased on the website was shipped incomplete. I only received 1/3 of what was promised. They requested that I ship what I received back, and they would ship everything back together complete. However, over a week later I was issued a refund and no item. When I called back, they took my payment again and promised to overnight the item, only they shipped it to the wrong address. Nearly 4 weeks later I will finally get what I originally ordered and no refund nor discount."

"These people are crooks. DO NOT buy from them. I ordered a bathroom vanity and when I placed the order the website said it was in stock. I checked the order 2 days later and it was listed as backordered. I waited a few more days to see if it would ship but it was still backordered with no information when it would be expected to ship.
Since I was in the middle of a bathroom remodel project I decided not to wait and cancelled the order and got a message that my cancellation request was being processed. Afterwards I went to Home Depot and bought a vanity that was our second choice.
A few days later I checked to see if PlumbersSurplus credited my card for the cancellation but they did not. I checked their site and amazingly it said my order had shipped the day after I originally cancelled it.
I called PS and spoke with "Joe". I told my story of the cancellation and I was told I would have to pay return shipping & a 20% restock fee. I asked several times to speak with a customer service manager but "Joe" refused saying he knew it wouldn't do any good to speak with a manager because he knew what the manager would say.
Never do business with Plumbers surplus.
They engage in deceptive business practices.
