"I placed an order for a product listed as out of stock. Parts Express' hands were tied as we both had to wait for the item to be delivered from the manufacturer. While waiting for the item to arrive at Parts Express they decided to run a sell on the item. This dropped the price by ~$25 and also added in free shipping. I contacted them to see if they'd honor the sale price and such for my order. They dropped the shipping cost as well as matched their sales price. I also asked if I could add another item to my order. They allowed me to do that as well. Upon arrival they shipped all items at the sales price as they claimed. 1st class company as far as I can tell and the ratings here back-up my claim.
Since my 1st order with Parts Express I have become a near regular customer. To date I've purchased mics, cable, speakers, audio/video cables, mixer boards and adaptors from them. On all accounts they have been top-notch and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Years later, and numerous orders after my first order, I still think Parts Express is one of the best eTailers out there."

"International customers beware. Parts Express looked like a good company but unfortunately I wouldn't recommend them. The problem is that they do not respect their international customers. Not one bit.
Here is the story. On saturday 25th, I ordered ten different items, being careful to select items that were in stock. As the shipping cost to Canada is rather high I wanted to get everything I needed. The total of the purchase was around 550$US including the 50$ of shipping costs.
On monday, the 27th, 4:45 pm, I received an email asking me to confirm the shipping address. I sent confirmation a few minutes later.
Tuesday night, around 7pm, I received an email stating that "The total amount of your order shipped to date is $467.14". Thats about 80$ less than the total price of my order.
I call them the next day and they inform me that three of the items I ordered are out of stock. Well none of them were when I placed my order I reply... The sales representative confirms this. Alright, so what now I ask, there's 3 items I'm missing, are you going to send them when they become available? They reply that I will have to place a new order. I then asked why didn't they didn't contact me to see if I wanted them to wait and ship complete and their response was that for international customers, they just don't... They just ship part of the order.
So I check how much it shipping would cost if I placed a new order, and it would cost me an extra 20$US to get the missing items for my order, which would put the total shipping costs from 50$US to 70$US, and as another consequence, I would have to double the brokerage and duty fees. I asked if they could at least do something about the shipping fees, their reply was no, I would have to place a new order and pay full shipping fees as if I would have placed two seperate orders.
Overall, a very negative experience. This company has no respect for its customers and they don't even bother respect orders that were placed, which is a clear indication of a very mediocre company.
I would have expected this kind of service from an ebay trader, I'm very disappointed with this transaction and it looks like it will not get resolved."
