"Panasonic Corp. Customer Support and Replacement Center is working in the dark ages. After eight iterations and go-arounds regarding replacement of a wireless handheld phone set I have come to the conclusion that their purpose in life is to disrupt and confuse customers rather than assist them. Ignominious, uninformed, staff are robotically trained to be insensitive to a caller's concern.
They have no way of tracking receipt of damaged goods (still under warranty) or proof of purchase of same. Going up the chain of command only allows you to talk to someone who can put a lucid thought together and perhaps regurgitate your reason for calling. It has taken more than one month for them to address a product problem and I still haven't received a delivery date when the product will be replaced.
I f you are considering purchasing a wireless phone unit from Panasonic be prepared to go through an arduous lengthy delay if you have a problem with this product ... you'd be better off using two tin cans connected by a string!

"“Absolutely putrid experience with Panasonic. I wish I has referenced this website prior to direct-ordering from Panasonic.com. Should have just gone to a local retailer. First of all, their shipping is arcanely slow. It took nearly ten days for FEDEX to get me the first TV. Sure enough, it had a cracked screen. The customer service rep I contacted arranged for a replacement to be shipped. The new shipper (Pilot) took almost another 10 days to get a second unit out to me. Pilot did not arrive at the noted time and date of the delivery, for which I took off a half of day of work to accomodate. Futhermore, they never called as to why they no-showed me. When I inquired with Pilot, they notified me that the second unit was damaged, and that they recommend I refuse delivery. Why I HAD TO CALL THEM TO FIND THIS OUT, I don't know. At that point, I requested that Panasonic grant me a full refund. The customer service rep. told me that they would dispatch Pilot to pick up the original damaged unit, and when their warehouse (Panasonic) got possession of the damaged unit, then my money would be refunded. Of course, nobody from Pilot contacted me to schedule a pick-up. I called Panasonic customer service two more times requesting that they get somebody from Pilot to my home to pick up the damaged unit. They even offered to refund my money without delay as soon as Pilot took possession of the unit. Still no contact from Pilot. Totally exasperated, I had to CALL PILOT MYSELF to explain the siuation and schedule a pickup. I then contacted the Panasonic custmer service rep. AGAIN to notify them that I had bascially done their job for them, and to verify that I would indeed by recieving a refund as soon as pilot took possession of the broken unit. Amazingnly, the guy CLAIMED NO KNOWLEDGE of such as agreement! Yeah, they basically LIED to me. At that point, I asked to speak to the highest level supervisor at their customer service center to demand my money as soon as they take this broken TV off my hands. I'm still waiting for a phone call back. Figured I'd write this in the meantime, because whether-or-not I get a speedy refund from these people, I'LL NEVER SHOP WITH THEM AGAIN, NOR WILL I EVER PURCHASE A PANASONIC PRODUCT EVER AGAIN. Hands-down the WORST buying experience I've ever endured.”"

"Terrible!!! First off I ordered a TV and it took almost 10 days to arrive, 3 days before they even shipped it. When it finally arrived the screen was shattered. I do not fault Panasonic for that, it happens. It's the service, or lack there of that I have issue with. I called customer service the next day. The rep was polite and empathetic and told me that they would ship a new one and pick up the broken one. This was Thursday morning. I hadn't heard anything and called Panasonic on the following Tuesday morning. After several transfers and long hold time I was told that the TV I ordered was no longer in stock and they didn't know when it would be in stock. I asked to replace it with a comparable model but was told that was not possible. I was told my only option was to return the product and wait for my refund and then I could order another one if I would like. The broken TV was not picked up until the following Thursday, more than a week after the broken TV was delivered. I am still waiting for my refund and will not order from Panasonic or purchase a Panasonic product.

As a side not I ordered a TV stand from Best Buy more than a week after I ordered the TV and it has arrived and been assembled before Panasonic has even resolved the broken TV issue. The original order was placed on 10/28. Today is 11/12 and the issue is still not resolved.

"Ordered a TV directly from Panasonic's web site. It took 8 days to be delivered, and when I unboxed it the screen was shattered. This will happen from time-to-time, and I don't know if it was broken while still in Panasonic's possession or in transit with their shipper (Pilot). If they have seen a pattern of this with Pilot, they should switch to a new shipper.

My main complaint with Panasonic is in how they handled the situation after I reported that the TV screen was shattered when I opened the box. They had to transfer me 4 times before getting me to someone who could process the claim. 3 out of 4 Panasonic representatives failed to offer any words of sympathy or empathy for the fact that the new TV I had been eagerly awaiting for 8 days had been delivered with a shattered screen. And the one rep's totally insincere comment of "I apologize for any inconvenience" was so hollow and uncaring that I wish he would have kept it to himself. Basic customer service skills are a lost art for most companies these days.

The most frustrating part is that they said it would take up to a week for their shipper (Pilot) to come back out and pickup the broken TV, and that Panasonic wouldn't be able to refund me for the TV until they had received it back and had time to process it, which they said could take a total of 2-3 weeks. THAT'S HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!

They should have realized that this is an awful experience for one of their customers, and made arrangements for some shipper to pick up the TV the very next day, get it back to them within 3 days, and have my refund back to me within 7 days tops.

"I was in process, buying earphones on the Panasonic website. My credit card info was input, and all that was left was to click the "confirmation" button. The screen came up with the final price and it had been INCREASED from $16.99 to $33.99. I went back and started the process again. Sure enough, it did it again!.. Next, I tried some that were on sale for $11.99.. Went through the whole process and Boom! Changed it to $16.99 as the checkout price....??

At this point, I thought a call was necessary. Well.. I graduated through 3 levels of "support/escalation".. End result? "Our prices can change at any time." .. During Checkout?!!.. Yup..

Where else can I relate this experience? Can you imagine picking something out in a store, that has a price on it, only to find that the price went up as you walked towards the cash register?

"Agree with all the terrible reviews. Purchased a simple soundbar that stopped working in less than 3 months, have spent the last 5 months trying to get resolution with customer and technical support. Even had to purchase an additional remote that still didn't get the soundbar to work - my cost, not theirs. Still can't get it fixed, replaced or refunded. Unbelievable! They keep saying they have left me messages but hey? no voicemails on home answering machine - how do you argue with that?"

"Purchased AX800 4x tv ($3500) direct from panasonic - took two weeks to get. Then sound went out after 2 hrs of operation. Spent 3 hours on the phone the next morning arguing with them. Their answer (finally): I will be contacted in 5 to 7 days to arrange a pick up date (3-5 days from call) for the TV. It will ship back (3-5 days) and be processed (3-5 days). Then I will receive a second call from the carrier within 5-7 days for the replacement to be delivered in 3-5 days. That's 34 business days! My answer: give me my money back, to which they VERY reluctantly agreed, but I'll have to wait 24 business days for a refund. Thank God for Capital One who upon hearing my story, moved the charge to dispute and credited my account. I went to Best Buy the next day and I am now a very happy Samsung 4X TV owner!"

"I bought a toaster oven directly from Panasonic (shows as Panasonic Direct). What a disaster. When it finally showed up, it had a problem similar to the one that I had been using for years which broke here (I replaced the one that broke with a new one and it had the same issues.) When you write them to fix the problem, they dont do anything, they just refer you to an 800#. Then, you get into some automated system that has you wait 30-45 minutes. The staff sounds overseas -- they have a "who cares" attitude. I will never buy anything from this place again. I would urge you to strongly reconsider any purchase you are considering. I wish someone had told me this."

"I am VERY disappointed with Panasonic direct company ! I ordered an item for a Christmas present on the 16th of December, I got my comfprmation e-mail and funds were taken out of my account on the 17th. the ticket said 1-3 business days it would ship. Today, the 21st, I called to check the status and was told they are back ordered and it wouldn't be until possibly the 20th of January that I would get it !! Ugh !!! I am just a tad aggravated ! The girl on the phone was very nonchalant about it but did give me a very generic sorry at the end."

"Chat facility is pretty useless. This service is contracted out to Meridian Who does a very poor Job.
1. Multiple connections - first two no response after "Hi This is Mary " etc.

2. Getting answers to questions was very frustrating
3. Some questions had no responses at all.

All in all a very poor handling of a customer interaction.
Anyone predisposed to think highly of Panasonic would come away thinking:

a. If this is pre sale interation - what will after sales service be like.
b. Doesn't come across as this CSR Cares what the customer thinks of Panasonic
c. Why bother? Buy another product.

Rather then encourage a sales - Meridian reps discourage the sale, poorly represent Panasonic

I think the CSRS's are badly representing and handling their job of encouraging Panasonic sales and harming Panasonic's reputation.

If sales are less then stellar this could be the reason why.
No matter how good a product is - botching consumer interactions
is bad for business.

"Ordered a tv 6/19/2013. Received 2 weeks later. TV did not work at all. Took 2-3 weeks for them to pick it back up and still waiting for them to credit me back my refund and its 8/2/2013. Awful customer service, called over 10 times and calls dropped and they have no communication with they're shipping company). Worst shopping experience ever!!! If credit isn't thru soon, getting my credit card company after them. Who ever heard of 2 month experience in buying and returning a tv. You would think it was delivered by the pony express. Stay away from this company!!!!! Thought I was getting a deal thru work discounts and got a nightmare instead! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!"

"My view of Panasonic is as low as it gets,i have nothing but trouble with my set.the boards are made in CHINA, GARBARGE!i had to have one replaced and when the technition took it out of the box and installed it it was defective.this is the second time with the same problem.never again will I buy Panasonic,all I can say is GARBARGE!!!"

"I ordered a Lumix ZS30 from Panasonic direct on April 8th. After it being on backorder I finally received it 29 days later on May 9th. When I attempted to put the battery in the battery compartment, the locking mechanism to hold the battery was defective. I waited 29 days to receive a broken camera.

I called their customer service line, and was transferred and disconnected so many times, I was very tempted to return the camera for a refund.

I asked that a new camera be sent to me. And even though I waiteed 29 days and spent over $400.00 for a camera I was told that I could return the camera, however the Lumix ZS30 is on backorder and they did not know when a new one would be shipped. It is very frustrating to have waited so long for the delivery of the camera only to have it show up broken and be told that they don't know when a replacement could be sent to me.

The same associate told me that I could speak to technical support to see if the camera could be repaired. After speaking with technical support, I was told to send the camera to the McAllen Texas repair center, but that I would have to pay for shipping. I did not break this camera, why should I pay for shipping. After explaining my position to Andrew in technical support, he agreed to send me a pre-paid shipping label within 48 hours. It has been over 48 hours and I have yet to receive the shipping label.

There is NO WAY I would ever order from Panasonic Direct again. There are so many other retailers out there, why deal with a company who does not appreciate their customers
