Horrible Experience

"This is my email that was sent to corporate.

I am very disappointed that I must write to your company about our recent experience at one of your locations. My daughters love your products. During much of this pandemic since they have not able to visit your locations they have been ordering regularly off of your website. My younger daughter purchased some merchandise which unfortunately did not fit her. As such returning it is necessary. This brings me to our unpleasant experience. The return deadline for this merchandise is this Wednesday. This last Saturday my family was going to find ourselves out, not too far out of the way from your Galleria mall location in Fort Lauderdale. As such I called the store on Saturday 6/20 at 5:15 PM confirming what time they would be open until. I was quoted 7 PM from the person who answered the phone. I called the store again at 6:17 PM while on the way there and confirmed the time and requested to know which entrance would be the closest to their location in the mall so I could park nearby. My wife went to the store to make the return. At 6:40 PM exactly as confirmed by the time stamp on the text message from my wife she was standing outside of the doors and they were locked up. The staff was standing inside the store behind the register all of them on their phones. Prior to texting me my wife knocked on the door and was informed by the gentleman working there that they closed up for cleaning. She stated that she only had a return and was informed by this same gentleman that the registers had been shut off and he could not accommodate her. This is the point at which she texted me and she was there prior to 6:40. I called the store from the car at 6:41. I spoke to this same gentleman and asked what time the store closes. He stated 7 PM. To which I replied then why can't my wife make the return as she is standing at the door. He told me, because we lock up at 6:45 to clean the store. I stated, it is not even 6:45 yet so why is the store closed. He again reiterated his statement that they lock up for cleaning. During this process none of the staff inside the store were cleaning. They were all just standing around on their phones. He asked if I am the person who called earlier to find out what time the store closed. I stated yes and that if the store locks up at 6:45 why would he tell me that they were open until 7 PM. He stated that because we are open until 7 PM. With much frustration I stated that you are not open until 7 PM if the doors are locked at 6:40 PM and no one can come in. That you closed at 6:40. He again stated that, no, they are open until 7. Realizing that I am dealing with an incompetent moron I gave up in frustration. My wife was alone, she had her proper PPE gear on and was polite in her communication. This was a simple transaction that should have taken no more than five minutes at most. She had the merchandise with tags and her receipt with her. We found this entire exchange unacceptable.
Based upon this experience we will not be purchasing any more of your products. During this time when many businesses are practically begging for business and stores are closing to have your staff flatly express their lack of interest in any customer service and misstate information wasting the consumers time is unacceptable. We made a trip out of our way to be to your store prior to closing with more than ample time to complete our transaction. The fact that your employee took no interest in your customers needs during regular business hours is a reflection on his training and company policy.

Ridiculous

"Sent the out of stock item with an ink-filled security tag attached. Will not accept a return to remove the tag and resend, just for a refund. Wouldn't be an issue, but my son has been requesting this specific item forever, and they were ordered as a gift. Said I could keep, and take to a b&m store when they eventually open. Nearest one is a three hour drive away. No partial refund offered for the trouble. Phone rep was about as bright as a turnip, no supervisor available at 2pm on a weekday."

terribe restocking fee and slow in refunding

"I thought the refund was slow (3 weeks) and I was never notified if they even received the package. After writing twice, I was notified that it would be 14 working days to get refund? Why??? Also, I would never have bought the shirt if I knew there was a 7.99 restocking fee!!!! What a rip off!!! Buyers, beware.

Absolutely the worst customer support in history!

"I placed and order on Dec. 3, 2019 for 4 items for my 15 yro daughter for Christmas. Two items were sent in two separate packages. One package arrived a week after my order. The other package was sent by the slowest possible shipping on the planet. I realized the mistake PacSun had made in shipping and contacted them on Dec. 9th to find a solution. They reassured me that the package would arrive by Dec. 18th. It did not. So on Dec. 19th, I contacted them again to see if they could expedite shipping the same two items to me by Christmas, and I was told that they could not. My daughter did not get these items for Christmas. So, I waited for them to arrive by the date specified in the tracking information, which was Jan. 4th, 2020. They did not arrive by that date either! I contacted PacSun for a third time, and they simply refunded my money for the two items. No attempt was made to deliver the items that I ordered from this company. I don't know if they ever even really shipped the items, and I had to wait a month to simply get my money back. Who would ever order from this company again? PacSun.com has no idea how to do business. If I could give negative stars, I would."

I would not recommend buying from PacSun

"I ordered two pairs of shoes. After I placed my order, I received notification that my order would be received within 10 days. I received one of the two pairs of shoes within that time frame. I waited another week just to give them some leeway. After the additional week I logged into my PacSun account and the second pair of shoes was still active as an order, but still had not been shipped. I DuckDuckgoed the telephone phone for PacSun and gave them a call. The rep told me that the second pair of shoes would be shipped soon. I waited another week and called PacSun again; the rep then told me that the second pair of shoes had been canceled without letting me know of such. "

Poor customer service

"My daughter always feels extremely uncomfortable shopping in this store. Employees whispering to each other while looking the customer from head to toe. She also feels they watch her like a hawk as if we’re a common criminal. The environment completely changes if I accompany her or meet her in the store. If has so irritating she has a few times without purchasing some items she wanted. I generally go in make the purchase. I approached the subject with very young assistant manager who immediately went in defense mode speaking to my 71 year old mother and myself with absolutely no respect. At some point referred to my mother as a granny, refused to sell me the shirt and proceeded to call mall security and described me as an extremely aggressive customer. I have never seen anything lol this on my entire like as a customer. I kept my cool, left the store and O working my way up the ladder to make her behavior know within the company. She also made the statement while my phone was recording the PacSun company policy was watch every teenager to prevent theft. Is this profiling age discrimination or just plain stupid?"

2 months with no product

"I ordered Christmas gifts on Black Friday 2015 for my daughter. Now almost two months later I don't even have a tracking number. This may be a FedEx issue with Black Friday overload, I still don't know the answer, as I haven't heard from PacSun, but in my opinion, they should have sent me an email before Christmas alerting me to the issue. Instead I had to call in the week before Christmas, wondering where my order was, only to wait on hold for a long time before giving up and finding out these gifts wouldn't be under the tree.

This was my first order with them, and will be my last, because in this competitive online world we live in, there are too many other sellers out there that I'm sure would have done a better job of the situation. For this gift, I ended up writing a letter to my daughter 'from Pacsun' telling them how sorry I was that her gift did not arrive in time for Christmas. Too bad Pacsun didn't think of the same.

"Do not buy from this company! Worst Online Retailer period that will hassle you when you try to return something. It has been almost 4 weeks and I still have not received a refund.

Made a $200+ purchase back in early June 2014 and made a return the following week. Since then, it has been almost an entire month of getting runarounds from their customer service and their online service department. Every time I call they say it will just take another 3-5 business days. I still have not received my refund and will likely have to file a dispute with my credit card company to get this resolved.

Their disclaimer is 10-14 business days from the time they receive it. But then they state that they add another 3-5 business day processing time on top of that. Do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere.

"I've bought several times from their website, rarely encountered any problems. I usually get stuff on sale and it's pretty cheap. Whenever you need to return stuff in-store is really simple with their 60 day return policy, just have your packing slip ready. The thing they need to improve is their shipping speed, they ship 4 days after I place my order which is a bit slow."

"So I went in the early morning at one of the Pacsun's at my mall. It was about 10:30 and there was no one but me in the store. There was no one at the cashier, and I had to personally look and find for her. When I presented the items, I actually had to WAIT for her to finish texting before she rang me up. There was also a limited number of items and all of them bland."

"Bought a few things from their website. Communication was clear as far as status and items were shipped promptly. I'm glad they honored a generous promotional code that got leaked. Great company to deal with. It's also a seamless transaction to exchange something you bought online in one of their retail stores.

"This post is not to bash the company however to inform customers. I placed an order online and received an email confirming. Shortly after I receive a cancellation notice without any explanation. So I called their customer service and they indicated there system didn't recognize my billing address and canceled the order. However they did not let me update or change my information over the phone and told me to call back within 1 hour. So I called back to update my account which was communicated by the representative and I was told I cannot update that information and the items I ordered had gone out of stock. In my opinion they did not want to fulfill my order and blamed it on a system error and game me the the run around. They did not offer discount, coupons or an apology. Now your informed!"

"I placed an order for some clothing while I was out of the country on vacation. I assume they cancelled my order due to a foreign IP being used, but they didn't indicate as much and simply cancelled my order without any reasoning. I ended up taking care of this via telephone once I was back in the states, as I didn't want to pay foreign minutes to resolve a stupid issue. Their customer support person was less than impressive. One of the shirts I ordered was out of stock by the time I resolved this, and I truly had to walk the CSR through making a replacement order with the remaining items. I had to explain that I used a coupon code and everything...I don't understand how they couldn't look at my previous order and just duplicate it, but whatever. I'll still shop there again because they do have good promotions and a good selection."

"After ordering an item of clothing, apparently the item was out of stock. I was never told this, just simply given a store credit. I had to contact Pacsun to see why it hadn't shipped yet, and that is how I found out. They handled everything very courteously after that but, I still wish they had told me that it wasn't available sooner."
