An exceptional company for many years

"I have bought from this company for several years. We depended on them for critical backup emergency lighting batteries for our hospitals and surgery centers. These were huge several hundred pound batteries in very complicated systems that also involved structural and electrical engineers. My purchases are very difficult projects that requires a company to be extremely knowledgeable about batteries and the systems, not to mention the ability to pull together and organize all of the different vendors to pull off an installation project on time. In my experience it takes a special company to do it successfully and they have done several for me with exceptional results.

I couldn't help but notice some of the reviews on here which prompted me to leave my own review and it didn't seem like the company I was dealing with so I asked the owner Glen what happened and he told me that the pacific website and laptop battery part of the company was taken over by a different company in 2010 and they ran the business into the ground. So for those of you who bought laptop batteries that might explain things because they just used the name and website, so it wasn't the same company everyone knew before.

My experience with them has been great and I always highly recommended them.

"ordered dell battery they took my money no battery email support no responce going to have cc company reverse the charge look elseware uncle ****@**** months no reply from support amazon is the way to go going to complain to the attorney general"

"Dell battery died with 3 months left on warranty. Emailed and received a RGA #. Sent sent dead battery via UPS. Have conformation that Johnson signed for the battery Sept 17 2010. it is now the middle of April 2011, and i still have no battery. I did get a response from a Glen the Technical Manager months later that he would look into the matter. I never heard back from him. Have called and e-mailed several times since. No response."

"FYI.....these guys (Pacific Battery) were, for at least a few years, one of the best and most reliable suppliers of laptop batteries on the web. During that time I used them numerous times with ONLY excellent results.

Not sure what has happened to them.

April 2010:

Ordered a battery for a Dell XPS 1530 from them and got no order status updates; couldn't reach them or get a response. I had a client who was hot to get the battery ASAP so it put me in a bad position.

I ended up cancelling the order (surprisingly it was indeed cancelled fairly promptly) and purchasing from an ebay seller.


In short, a 180 degree turnaround in customer service in a fairly short period of time.

I would not risk another purchase with them until I see some recent/numerous and very positive feedback for them here.

"I ordered Dell 6410 AC adapter/battery charger from Pacific Battery. After receiving no order confirmation or shipping information for 7 days despite paying for expedited delivery, sending 3 emails and leaving 1 voice mail for Customer Support, I canceled my order per the instructions on the Pacific Battery web site. Once I had canceled the order I finally received an email from Pacific Battery saying my product would ship in 2 days. So once again I sent 2 more emails and placed another phone call, again in vain. The product actually shipped and now I am left trying to resolve this situation with a company who has not responded to 6 emails, 2 voice mails and an Order Cancellation. Take my advice do NOT buy anything from Pacific Battery Systems. Their customer support is non-existent and they could care less about customers. "

"This company is stealing money from consumers.I bought a battery and found out I needed a motherboard instead. I sent the battery back per thier instructions for credit & havent received a dime back yet. I got the run-a-around for about 6 emails.( you can never get ahold of a live person) Glen Johnson,the owner, said he would check on it and let me know the next business day.(yeah right) I have filed a complaint with the Better Business bureau (here is the link-http://www.bbb.org/us/ And I recomend everyone that has an issue with Pacific Battery Systems to do the same. My next step is the Attorney General of CA. I will not let this rest. This company has a known track record of fraud and it needs to be stopped !"

"I placed an order in march, now its april have not heard back from the company at all. Have tried writing, calling, there is almost no way to get a hold of Glen Johnson, the owner. You might as well donate the money you would give to this business, no wonder their rating on BBB is "F", it must stand for FRAUDULENT COMPANY "

"I have not received my order . They said it would be delayed and would ship on 3-30-09. I tried to track the shipment and did not get results. They will not talk to you by phone about my order and I have not heard from them. I will give it two more days then turn it in to my credit card company. "

"I purchased quite a few batteries and power supplies for my company from Pacific Battery and was very satisfied. That is until I needed customer service. I tried for weeks to get an RMA for a laptop battery that will no longer take a charge. Their customer service is horrible and I now see they have a "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau. I will no longer buy from this company."

"Defective Product, Zero Customer Service, No Support

Purchased a CF711-AM replacement battery with a 18 Month Warranty for my Dell Latitude. After 13 months, the battery was completely dead and wouldn't hold a charge.

Twice I have completed their online warranty form to get a Return Goods Authorization with no follow-up. I have placed numerous calls to their customer service number, each time I am sent to an answering system, and no one has returned my calls. I've had zero response from PBS in almost a month and a half.

I would strongly recommend that you purchase from another company.

"Ordered a battery, got it , it didn't work, followed all their instructions!! Still didn't work!! Sent it back, as instructed on website! Never heard back from them. Emailed them 125 times, haven't heard from them!! They have my $89.90 plus $9.00 shipping!! I want my money back, but they won't respond!! They are a total rip off company!!! "Avoid this company! In early June 2009, I tried to order an extra battery for my Dell Latitude D610. They sent a completely different battery. They don't have telephone customer support (that's a red flag), so I submitted a complaint on their web-based system. They gave me an RMA but not a prepaid return shipping authorization. Since I wanted the battery ASAP, I returned the erroneously-shipped battery at my own expense, following all of PacBat's instructions. Then I heard nothing, despite two more inquiries on their "customer service" website. After several weeks I disputed the transaction with my credit card company, and they reversed the charge after an investigation. As of this date (August 2, 2009), I still haven't heard anything from PacBat, and I'm still out $7 for the return shipping that they should have covered. Pacific Battery is unable or unwilling to maintain acceptable customer service. Stay away from them."

"I made my purchase on Wednesday the 24th and it arrived today Friday the 26th. They actually shipped the same day I placed the without me even asking. the battery is a dell battery, just like they said would be and so far it is working great. I bought once before from them and recently had a technical problem which they helped solve pretty quickly, so I decided to give them my business again. Great people! "
