On July 24th, I purchased two identical replacement batteries for my Dell laptop. I also paid for 2nd day shipping. One of the batteries arrived dead.

I returned the dead battery at my own expense. The company declined to answer my request that they pay for the return shipping. From the time the company received the defective battery, it took 26 days to get me a replacement. To add insult to this injury, Pacific Battery informed me that the warranty date begins with the original purchase date.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I was in the need for some laptop batteries for older laptops. When googling the Dell part #75UYF, this store was the first hit. After checking, they said they had over 150 in stock. Being an older battery, I was sceptical, so I check the ratings here to see other peoples history. The ratings were good so I ordered 2 Dell #75UYF-HC batteries.

Time line -
- 2/10 - Placed the order. Received immediate confirmation that the order was received. This was a Sunday so the order wouldn't go out until Monday 2/11. As an added bonus, free 2nd day air shipping.
- 2/11 am - I realized I mistyped my zip code so I contacted customer service via email to notify them of the mistake. I then received an email reply stating that they have corrected the shipping address but it won't get out until 2/12. 1- I'm more than happy to wait an extra day on this. I understand that it's to my benefit that all shipping information is correct when it leaves.
2. Great email response back from customer service!
- 2/12 - The item ships and I receive shipping info with tracking number links.
- 2/13 - Items arrive. I installed the batteries right away for charging. I also noticed that these are genuine Dell batteries and not refurbished knock offs.
- 2/14 - After full charge, I turn on the laptops to test battery life. Got almost 2.5 hrs. life from both!

I will be doing business with this company again and would recommend them highly!"

"Ordered a dell laptop battery and it was delivered as promised on time. No intervention on my part was necessary. Nothing but praise for a vendor with good prices and great service.

Addition: A fews days later after receiving the first battery I ordered a different Dell battery and the results were the same. I would highly recommend this vendor for laptop batteries.

Just in case, both batteries were labeled DELL and appeared to be exactly what the old batteries were. In fact I had marked the old ones as old so not to confuse the new and old.

update: I guess things change because I was about to order some stuff on 9/24/09 and I emailed for support and stated I was a repeat customer. Not counting the weekend, it's been 48 hours and no reply. I decided to order from another vendor and likely will not use Pacific Battery any longer. Too bad because I use to like them a lot but without any reply, makes me have doubts about them taking care of the customer."
