"i purchased a sager 4760 from pctorque ~1yr ago. i was very satisfied with the purchase experience and the computer. it was 8 days from order to delivery. the 4760 had the right combination of features, styling, price and as it turns out quality. the pctorque price was better than other vendors selling the same machine or other badged versions of the same clevo machine. sager computers generally emphasize gaming/processing power over portability/battery life. technical support from sager was somewhat disappointing regarding a few issues that i eventually had to figure out on my own or live with (one of the 3 USB ports arrived dead and never has worked). there was no tech support phone line as i recall so i had to try and deal with issues by email which consisted of sending a message and then waiting until the next day for a reply, and sending another message and waiting. bear in mind that is regarding sager support, which is separate from pctorque who is the reseller. overall, i highly recommend pctorque.com and sager computers: well suited for intermediate and experienced users looking for features and value but not needing as much technical support.

i must mention that pctorque also hosts a forum. feedback and comments from other sager users was very helpful in all aspects of the computer purchase and technical issues and is ultimately what gave me the confidence to buy a brand that i had never heard of before."

Although it took a month for my 3790 to arrive at my house the wait was due to the hurricane season in taiwan, where many Sager/Clevo laptops are manufactured. "Ordered a Sager 8790 on 03.08.04 and received an email invoice the next day (Since I ordered from Japan, I took that into account). On 03.15.04, the unit arrived in Seattle. Basically one week (including a weekend) from order to delivery. Excellent considering it was a new model at the time and judging from posts at talknotebooks.com, there were plenty of orders being taken.

Before buying, I sent numerous emails to PC Torque in regards to various questions and never failed to receive an adequate response. Their email replies were very courteous and quick (often within an hour or two). A special thanks to Tom since he dealt with my numerous emails.

"Ordered a new 8790 on a Wednesday, order was shipped 1 week later 2nd day air, I got it the next Thursday. Everything was packaged nicely, laptop installed Windows fine and works great now. Had one dead pixel, but it doesn't bother me at all. Since I haven't had to send it back, I can't say whether or not PCTorque is quick and helpful in this regard, but so far they have been great. I will definitely recommend them and use them in the future."

PC Torque has garnered itself many many positive reviews and if you are like me and find it hard to believe that something so good could be true, allow me to allay your fears; PC Torque is that darn good.
Pre-sales service was top-notch -- they answered my e-mails, my website form submissions, and even my phone calls.
Sales process could not be simpler since it is just a matter of using their well laid-out online configurator -- however this is no different from any other seller so no bonus points here (I still haven't figured out what that little metal animal thing on the front page is... hmm I should call and ask ;))
Post-sales support has been perfect with a readily available staff to answer questions via the same methods as pre-sale (Thanks Tom!) Unfortunately my post-sales experience with PC Torque has been limited simply by the fact that my machine has been flawless no matter how hard I have tried to muck it up within the 30 day no questions asked return period.

The 8790 was a brand new offering when I ordered; I needed to receive the laptop before the end of March due to my moving out of the country in April. Even with my being frugal and electing to take advantage of PC Torque's Free Ground Shipping offer at the time, I received the laptop in about a week! A week when others were quoting turnaround times of 2-3 weeks!

Did I forget to mention reasonable pricing? With this level of service, reliability, and accountability, I had almost forgotten that PC Torque's prices are on par with some of the less savoury resellers out there but without the inherent risk.

Needless to say, I will shop here again. You have made a loyal customer out of me and I will sing your praises to all who will listen including any friends and family members who will be needing equipment soon. I apologize to the reader who may find this post fanatical in nature...
