"As all other online shopping website, the consumer can’t see or touch the actual items. We only can rely on the photos the company post on their website. I ordered a headset on Jan 31th from P.C. Canada base on the photo they show on their website. They show a clear and big photo for the item and has all the description to describe the items on the side. And it is on its own webpage. The photo and description are the one I want to buy so I ordered it. I never dream to think someone would use entirely different photo or description to sell.I got the headset yesterday and it turned out it wasn’t the one I saw. I emailed their customer service. They reply me as below
“This may be a situation where the photo on our website did not match the product as per disclaimers under all photos on the site: "Photo is for illustration purposes only. Actual product may be different."” What the devious strategy? Lesson learned! Hope whoever reading it can learn from my mistake."

"I had a very poor experience returning a Western Digital hard drive that was improperly packaged. It is a common knowledge that a computer hard drive is delicate. When I received the hard drive, I found it on the stone walkway in a lightly padded envelope. Inside the envelope, I found the hard drive in a static-free bag without any shock protection. I emailed PC-Canada with a photo to show the improper packaging. It took five business days just to get the return approval. Since there was no fault of my own, I requested for a prompt refund credit. Then I was told that it would take two to three weeks to process a refund credit. When no refund credit came after three weeks. Then I was told that it would take three to four weeks to get a refund credit. Taking so long to process a refund credit is unreasonable and simply unacceptable. Considering unreasonable return and refund processes, I would not recommend buying from PC-Canada. At the end, I contacted the dispute department of the VISA and got a refund in two business days."

"My first ordered was cancelled because it set off my credit card fraud alert. I quickly fixed that and re-ordered the card I wanted and their Website said there was still a stock of 7 down from 8 when I had previously ordered.

Even though it was just over 24 hours when my original order was cancelled by the credit card system, my second order price went up and the stock still said they had 7!

Later that day I get the email 'my order is on backorder'.

If your selling PCs, your website stock levels needs to be up to date by the second and if a person orders something that is 'in stock' PC-Canada has to honor that if you want return customers.

Not sure I will ever shop at PC-Canada again - their back end IT systems seem to be totally out of touch with reality.

By mistake, I ordered the Microsoft Surface Dock with the USB ports I wanted the dock of the USB-C port.

I ordered the above item but when I opened, it was a previous model with the USB ports but, I was interested in the Surface dock 2 with USB-C ports! I emailed to Daphne Sass-Kortsak, Customer Service & Returns Supervisor: If I can return it? I opened the box side seals but everything inside is completely untouched and unopened.

She responded saying because of the strict manufacturer's policy we can't return or exchange! The manufacture of the item is Microsoft and they don't have such a non-refundable policy.

This is a very disappointing misleading online company in today's world! Nowadays all the resellers and retailers have a return or exchange policy.
