"Terrible experience. I was promised 15% off my order if I signed up for an Overstock.com credit card. I went ahead and did that and was then told that the discount did not apply to my item (a camera lens). Then I was notified that the item was delivered, but I never received it. I've had to contact them 4 times so far and they keep stalling on giving me my refund, extending the promised time period they previously gave me. I needed this lens for a few projects so I've missed out on several job opportunities, plus I opened up an extra line of credit I do not need and will not use. Very unhappy!"
"Ordered Bombay wall mirror with drawers and hooks. It did not arrive with the hardware. The instructions did not provide the dimensions of the hardware so I did not know what to buy at hardware store to replace. The instructions lacked an important step: how to install on wall. Called product support center listed on instructions and no answer or option to leave voicemail. Overstock customer service says it will try to get answers for me in two days via email. Expect problems with this product installation. "

Found a glass bowl type sink with faucet that looked great and was priced right. Four days later arrived in a package that I could have tossed out of a second story window and the glass wouldn't be broken.

"I'm writing this on every site I can because I want to get the word out about their horrendous customer service and shipping methods.
"It's almost 3 in the morning and I'm writing this because I just got done talking to somebody on overstock's customer service chat. I ordered a ring for my boyfriend in the beginning of December that he thought was too small. I ordered a bigger one after returning the smaller one. The bigger one ended up being too big... note: he has never worn a ring before so he didn't know. The ring is beautiful though and great quality so we definitely want it. All is well, I'll order the smaller one back and not return the big one yet until he can really compare sizes in person. Overstock helped me with a small discount on ordering the small ring again. Ordered December 20th and expected delivery was the 26th. By the first few days of January I realized that the holidays were not the cause of my package never getting here. I contacted them again and they said it was lost in the mail and that I would get an email telling me more about it and whether it was found or if id get a replacement. They also said sorry and that they'd expedite the replacement if need be, so that i'd still have time to return whatever ring we decided didn't fit. 3 days pass... I JUST got an email telling me a package was shipped to me???? AND that I would receive it in over A WEEK. I am so infuriated, i contacted them again and they said it was too late it was already shipped and etc. etc. I FOUND OUT THE ORDER WAS MADE THE SAME DAY I TALKED TO THEM ABOUT IT BEING LOST. I wasn't ever informed that they were going ahead with a new order! I've been sitting here waiting for an email from the UPS on whether the other was found yet or not. Now I'll have been waiting over 3 weeks for one ring and its quite possible ill have passed the deadline for returning the other one!
They were unclear, repetitive and hardly any help whatsoever. I was promised expedited shipping and emails on the update of my lost ring and I didn't get either. Now I'm sitting here waiting for another ring and my boyfriend is just as mad as I am at this point. Soooooo so disappointed with their online customer service. "Ordered an Item 12/20 and was told that it was in stock and I would receive it no later than 12/29. On 12/25 I decided to contact them seeing I never received an order confirmation email. I was told the item is out of stock and my order had not shipped. I was disappointed that I was not contacted about this matter. Then a charge shows up on my account 12/26 and I have to contact them to get a refund after they had cancelled my order. They finally issue the refund to my card 12/29 after much correspondence. And then the cancelled "out of stock" package shows up at my house 1/2/15. Something is really wrong with overstocks system that they thought the order was out of stock and had not shipped, billed me and refunded me, and then I still get the package. Now I have to drive the large package to the UPS store and send it back. "

"do NOT buy bedding from Overstock.com because if the shipping label says it is the correct size, as does the shipping box, and even the mattress tag, but you MEASURE the mattress after it arrives and can CLEARLY see that it does NOT meet the specs you ordered it is now non returnable or non refundable...I am in a HEATED battle trying to get a refund on an order for a Cal King mattress, that is CLEARLY a king size and not as thick as advertised. I opened it to discover that it is WRONG, I sent pics, I called as soon as I opened it...they are stalling, and I find that UNACCEPTABLE. Had it been as described I wouldn't be in this MESS, and they could care less. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They wouldn't post my bad review either"

"Nightmare! Do not buy from Overstock! Placed an order, wanted to cancel it after only a few hours. Called in and was told that since it is already in "Processing" it can not be cancelled.... it has not been shipped yet, but I cant cancel it, to make it even worse... I can only return it once I get the order, after which I will have to pay for return... what kind of practice is that? I am very disappointed in overstock and will not buy again from this website."

"Worst experience of my life. Sent me the wrong size, then proceeded to tell me I had to pay for the return shipping. After sometime talking They decided they could waive the shipping, even though there was a 30-back shipping paid return agreement. But, I they still had to receive the wrongly sent item FIRST, then they could send the right one. I asked to speak with a manager. The man finally said they could ship the CORRECT item out right away and I just needed to send the wrong one out when I received the shipping label. Never have I seen such poor customer service in my life. I never again will buy from overstock again. You would think because they deal with outside dealers thus "overstock" they would have a better way of handling mishaps that happen!"

what a nightmare! ordered a sectional set. waited 8 weeks. got 4 different delivery
dates. the first one was cancelled because delivery co. couldn't find my house! second one was negated because they put the furniture on the wrong truck! third one didn't make it because the truck broke down! after much complaining i was told furniture would be coming the following tuesday with cust service rep assuring me she would 'see it through to the end' monday night delivery co. calls and confirms a time frame of 1-4 in the afternoon tuesday. i have my son stay home from work for the FOURTH time and, wouldn't you know? they never showed up!!! couldn't get a hold of service rep determined to 'see it through and was on the phone for THREE DAYS before cancelling the whole order and geting my money back!! don't EVER use these people!!! you have been warned...

"This was my first and last purchase from Overstock. Never again. I ordered a bathroom vanity on October 5. It arrived with a damaged vessel, broken door handle and missing pop up drain pipe. I reported the issues to Overstock and they agreed to send me the missing parts. Guess what. I never received them. I've been chating with their customer service almost every day and they keep telling me they are doing everything possible to resolve the issue. They are like robots. Keep saying same things over and over again without any results. I've never had issues like this with Amazon. This was a huge mistake. Also, I wrote a review about my experience on their website under my account and they never posted it. "

"I wish I had read these reviews or any Overstock.com reviews before I ordered a new bathroom vanity. I was snookered by their catchy ads about "The Big O" and I liked the free shipping. I ordered the vanity on 8-10. The website estimated the shipping time of 3-4 weeks. I assumed that this was an "overstock" item just begging someone to take it, therefore, it should be shipped in a day or two and at my home in a week or two. On 8-25 I received a voicemail saying that our item should be delivered "next Tuesday." I called back and they said they had no record of the phone call. I asked for a tracking number. They said it was a "heavy" item so there would be no tracking number. And it should be delivered to a final warehouse in a week or two. Someone from the final warehouse called on 9-15 and our item was delivered the next day 9-16 (36 days). However, the vanity was severely damaged. The delivery company says this happens all the time because the item is stacked and it is not supposed to be. I called Overstock and within 2 days they had shipped a free replacement. However, I did not receive a call about it being shipped. A week later I called and they said it was shipping on 9-18. Again, they could not give me a tracking number. The 2nd one was delivered on 10-8 (22 days). There was a small chip on granite that my wife did not notice when she accepted the delivery. I told her that we can put a bead of caulk on it to hide it. For $1200, wouldn't you expect a little more?"
