They are a scammer! Be aware!

"I ordered 14 t-shirts and they confirmed the order with their invoice confirming they had all items in stock and the total amount charged with shipping included. A couple of days later they said that they needed to charge me an additional $15 plus dollars since 4 of the shirts were in a different warehouse. There is no indication on their web site indicating up charges for differeent warehouse delivery and they already confirmed the charges up front. I believe they offer lower prices and then try to up-charge the unsuspecting buyer. I canceled the order and will find a more reputable seller.

Misleading and Overpriced

"Ordered magnet framed I normally get for 1.20 each. They sell them for 6.00 each but made it appear they were selling 3 three packs for 18.00 plus half off. Only ordered because everyone was out of the gold ones. Ordered what I thought was 30 three packs. Only got 10.

Fraud company

"DO NOT USE this company. You will NEVER get your order even after paying for the order and shipping, waiting for over three months for the product delivery. Although their price and items' picture look good, the total price is above the average and you cannot evaluate item you order because you will not get it. "

Defective Items or Knock-off Items?

"Received hats that appear to be knock-off Richardson hats. Inside plastic on these hats will cut your head when removing the hat. We've never had this problem with any Richardson hats before, and never had problems with OpenTip before. Sent samples back to them and they still will not admit that these hats are defective. Anyone trying these hats on can see/feel that they are defective. The black part (shown in photo) is almost equivalent to chicken wire! Buyer beware."

They Don't Stand Behind Their Products

"I only tried one (of the 50 pouches ordered), and it leaked at the bottom. I'm sure the others probably would have been fine, but I just decided to not take a chance since we sell a premium product and I didn't want to risk it. The 1-star rating also applies to the Opentip return policy. I requested a refund for the remaining unused bags and they wanted me to test the remaining 49 bags to see if they leaked. I told them I didn't have the time and they said I would have to pay for the return costs since nobody else has ever complained about these leaking. What TERRIBLE customer service. I will never buy anything from Opentip.com again. "

"Broken" promises.

"Ordered a Rubbermaid kick stool.
It arrived badly damaged.
Photos were submitted.
Damage was accepted by OpenTip.
Trying to get anything else done after that was / is brutal (still no refund).
Almost 3 weeks have passed and all I have, after 20 emails, is...broken promises, lame explanations etc.

Ridiculous shipping times, poor communication and lack of professionalism

"Things take over a month to ship to Canada. They have poor communication and simply copy and paste information from tracking sites and keep customers waiting mindlessly.

Never buy from these unprofessional people.

They have plenty of things I'd like to buy in the near future but based on my current first-time experience, I will stay very far away! Not a chance again.

DO NOT BUY FROM OPENTIP !!!!!!!!!!!

"DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!!! I purchased 3 patio heaters from them totaling $451.87 including shipping. I received the heaters 2 weeks later, opened them then installed them the next day. They didn't work as advertised for my setup. i then took them down the next day. I started contacting Open Tip about my dissatisfaction and what was the process to send them back. Someone called 2 days later directing me to the website. I followed the info. They called to tell me that they would send me a return confirmation slip to put in the box. They sent it 1 month later. They wouldn't pay for return shipping which cost me $70 and they want to charge me a 25% restocking fee. I asked so someone doesn't like your product, they have to lose over $180 just to give it back to you. BAD BAD BUSINESS!!!! DONT BUY FROM THEM. THE PRODUCT JUST DIDNT WORK. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST!!!"

Terrible customer service

"I purchased a raincoat from open tip.come. It comes in a packable bag which was received torn. Opentip told me to keep the raincoat and they would not give me a return label because the raincoat still functions. I am going to stop the charge with my credit card company that is my only recourse."

Avoid them like the pest

"Fist, they wrote me to tell me what I had paid was not enough, that I still had to pay more for shipping, in total shipping charges were 86.30 USD!!!, the item was worth 44.96 USD. Then, when monitoring the tracking number on UPS, it turns out they forgot to include the invoice and export documents, apparently, whoever sent this from the US had no idea that Canada is a different country.

Apart from all of that I had to pay 38.95 CAD for import brokerage and duties. Finally, when the package arrived, it was broken in half due to the very poor packaging done by opentip.com, but not only that, one small piece of the item broken was missing and nowhere to be found on the box, suggesting that the item was already damaged when packed at the source.

Now they are saying that they will only reimburse me if their claim with UPS is successful, I explained to them that the problem was not UPS but the poor packaging done by them and that I should not be held hostage to they claim and relationship with UPS, all of this to no avail.

If you still have doubts about how bad and horrible this company is, try to find a contact phone number on their website, there is a reason why is not there

Avoid like the pest.

Backorder without notification

"I purchased a $200 coat and was given a confirmation code and 2 Days Later I called to find out when it will be shipped just for them to tell me that it was on backorder for the next 6 weeks. There was no indication or notification on their website whatsoever when I made my order. So now they're telling me I have to wait 5 days for a refund even though this is their fault also their agents keep hanging up on me or placing me on hold so they don't have to talk to me. I wish I had seen all of their bad reviews before I place my order but I never even thought to look I hope somebody will read this before they think about ordering from this website Opentip.com."

bad business

"I purchase 2 stake Vickerman Christmas tree and they send me potted Christmas tree . not match description on there website . call them want money back but they send replacement . still wrong item . call them and they lair to me said that ups come out tomorrow pickup item. never see them coming out. and i have call them almost every day for 3 weeks but they keep hustle me around and finally i dispute from paypal and get my money back. thanks god i don't have to deal with these people anymore. please don't order this company. save your time and money and no headache . this company dishonest i ever meet "
