Scammers, very unprofessional

"I ordered the HP touchscreen whole top assembly, part number L93181-001, at $199.00.
Very unprofessional and scammers. Days later, I received an email letting me know that the item is not in stock. And that they can only offer me the LCD screen for $159. Come to find out, they do have the part in stock that I originally ordered, only that they now have it at a much higher price, $299.
This company is a scam how can you tell a customer you don't have an item just so that you can try to sell it back to them at a higher rate this will be reported to Better Business Bureau.

Empty FedEX shipping envelope

"About 4 weeks ago we ordered a 2g hard drive. FedEx delivered the package to me yesterday, right from the truck. When I opened the envelope it was empty except for a packing slip about my order. A sealed empty FedEx envelope from notebookparts. No hard drive.

Unanswered e-mails and unanswered phone calls. Can't return it, there was nothing in the package. Looks like a call to the feds for wire fraud.

Scam!

"Total scam company! I tried to order an item, and immediately after I paid, even using PayPal, the next second there were no current orders on their website, nothing. Even PayPal doesn't show the transaction, only the bank card. It's like the next level of scamming. Stay away!"

Personal information shared without permission or notification

"I ordered rubber feet replacement for my laptop that cost 3x more then anywhere else on the internet but wanted OEM. The feet arrived with no adhesive at attach and ended up returning item at an additional $20 cost. When I received the item I had an enclosed invoice for someone else that included all personal information used to purchase their product but nothing on my purchase. I contacted the seller and didn't receive even an apology or confirmation my information was safe / given to a wrong person. I shredded the invoice and refuse to do business with this sloppy joke of business ever again. Buyer beware!"

Worst service ever

"I ordered a fan for my laptop on a Tuesday morning. I paid extra for next day shipping. It is now Thursday and no product. The most recent delivery says Friday. Service like that is just terrible. If I don't get it I may have to dispute the charge on my credit card. This is so frustrating. If I could give this company zero stars I would do. I would be very skeptical of any good reviews you read here."

Scam

"There is no 'Mary', there is no answer. I left message saying it doesn't take a week to ship a part, cancel it. Then I check and days later it says shipped. There is an answering machine saying a call will be returned and they don't. They also say on the message you can write an email to them, but you cannot. Eight days later the order says shipped, with a tracking number. The FedEx number is bad and FedEx contacted reports no such package ever received. This is now 10 days after ordering, there is no package anywhere in shipping process. Well now it gives an option to 'return' it, but of course, now they can charge you according to their process. I 'returned it' with the added note I had already left two messages for it to be cancelled, before shipping and that there is no package out. There was no other way to even contact them! I will fight any fee, including 'restocking', since it was cancelled by phone before then. I called the credit card company and reported the whole process, including ability to contact them and the 'wrong' FedEx number. Go somewhere else, spend a little more, get a year warranty and a part by now- don't EVER use this company! "

This dealer is probably a scam

"I had a problem with a laptop MOBO that was blown out during a power surge.
I'm an engineer, so I tried to isolate the problem and swap our the individual components but didn't have much luck. I looked for the MOBO online and found it for about $140 at Notebook parts, which was worth it to me to do a quick swap instead of spend more time trying to fix a seemingly un-salvageable board.

I get the MOBO from notebook parts, carefully swap it out....and no boot. I took it to a friend (who's an electronics engineer) and we ran some tests to find that this MOBO was bad too. After one of the most rude customer experiences of my life (which included being accused of breaking the board), Notebook parts took it back for a 15% restock fee, and I paid shipping.

I eventually found the MOBO I needed on ebay (for $119) and had the laptop working within 30 minutes. So I can absolutely confirm they sent me a broken board.

I honestly think their business model is to send people broken things and charge them a 15% or $15 (whichever is greater) restock fee - which is written in fine print. It's their word against yours as to whose fault it is that the part doesn't work. Even for us engineers, they'll accuse you of breaking it. Then, once they rob you of of $30, they resell the broken part to the next sucker. More than likely fraudulent activity.

VERY Helpful!

"Recently ordered 681999-001 mobo from them. It arrived on 5/13, and I went to install it on 5/14. I realized it was missing the connector for the internal charging cable to plug into. I waited until Monday, 5/16 to report the issue and crossed my fingers, since their site says 48 hours to report bad or damaged goods for RMA. I was contacted immediately, given an RMA and a prepaid label to return it. They offered to replace it free, with no cost for shipping. The associate who took my info (Mary), then realized that my original order had been credited to my C/C, so she asked me to reorder. I placed a second order with a note to ensure that it had the correct connector. The shipping department didn't see the note and shipped back the same board I had returned. Again, Mary caught the mistake and shipped another board overnight. I was given another prepaid label to return the incorrect one. When the correct one arrived, I installed it only to find out that the onboard video wasn't working. They said that they could not exchange it again, since they had no more stock, but offered to RMA it once again. I returned this one and they credited my C/C for the full amount. I could not ask for any more helpful or courteous assistance from Customer Service at any company. I will certainly have them in mind for future business."

8 freaking days

"I ordered an optical drive for a ProBook 440 G1 8 days ago and it hasn't even shipped yet. Now they tell me if I want one with a face plate it will take an additional 10 days, so I opted to get one without it at a 10 dollar refund. Now they tell me it will take an additional 10 days for it to arrive. So told them to take half the refund and do a 2 day ship. I bet the other 5 bucks its the wrong damn one and that it takes to the middle of next week. I should have checked the reviews first and said the hell with the cost. "

"Note that their returns policy states that they will not issue refunds on motherboards. I requested an exception to their policy for a completely unused motherboard. I even offered to pay a restocking fee if needed. They are completely unwilling to work with you. Most companies honor reasonable requests to return an item. I suggest you order from someone that actually offers customer service. "
