"As a college student, it is common that I will have a stack of textbooks all of which have came from different places. After 5 months of classes it is very hard to remember which books I had purchased and which books I had rented. I rented a textbook from them one semester. I never received any kind of reminder that my textbook was due, so understandably, I forgot. Randomly, 4 months after the due date I received a letter in the mail from a law firm claiming I owe them money for the book I never returned. Had they simply sent me an email reminding me to return my rental, they would have their book. I am assuming this is how they do their business: preying on college students who will more than likely forget to return their book and insisting they buy it. Shady business. I will NOT be doing business with them again."

"Please don't send your textbooks back to this company for re-sale. They will tell you that your package never arrived, and when you continue to inquire about the status of your package, they will tell you that, oh, it showed up weeks ago (we just didn't realize it), and the item was damaged (but no record of the package being received as damaged), and will refuse to pay you for it. And will be happy to tell you if you want the item back that they need a credit card number to charge you $10 for shipping so that you can get your item back. Their customer service people are rude and talk down to the customers. They contradict each other. Very obviously a scam! I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau! I only wish I had room to post all of our e-mail correspondences. It really paints a great picture of how dishonest and uncooperative they are."

"Rented a book from one of their stand alone stores, however when i go to return it on the last day of the semester, the store is closed. I figure they are only open at the beginning of each semester, and will return it in the fall. During the summer i get a charge on my account of the full price of the book. Called them and said i would happily send them the book if they refund the money. Thats a no go. They told me they sent out emails, however i honestly did not get any email, not even in my spam folder. I was nice, and told the superviser, i would be willing to pay to ship them the book, if i wasnt charged the full amount for it, however she said they dont issue refunds. last time i rent from there."

"Got a free textbook rental from them. Got it in less than 2 weeks. The book was in like new condition if not new. They also offer free return shipping. I saved probably around $100 with this."
