"Never, NEVER use this company. I honestly hope it Burns in flames. My school bookstore uses them so as a freshman I got all of my books from them. at the end of the semester the cashier at the book store told me to return the books on the 19 th. I showed up and they were closed. I then(that same day) waited forever on hold with neebo and then delt with their excuse of customer service. They did not help me or tell me what to Do. The man said he would call me back. He never did. whenever I called after that the line was busy for hours. I e-mailed them and they did not respond. Finally I talked to a very rude lady and she told me they would not take the books back because they were over 7 days late. they charged the money to my account without me knowing, but luckily that card number was no longer valid. I swore I would never use them again but this semester one class required an edition of the book I could only get through them. I ordered it the 22 and payed $30 For overnight shipping. It is the 25th and I have yet to recive the book. "

"I am just going to copy/ paste the email I just wrote them.
Hello,
I am very upset with the renting/shipping process as well as the 0 customer service support. I have been trying to contact someone for 3 days now. I had paid for 2 day shipping, I received one of my books yesterday and need to return it, cancel the rental, and get a refund. (I did not know the e-book was included with class fees). On this particular book (history) my boyfriend had ordered the same one but got regular shipping, we received them at the EXACT same time. So, I would like a refund for the shipping charges especially.
One book just shipped today and expected delivery is 1/19, I paid for 2 day shipping on 1/11.This book I need immediately, If it cannot get to me by the weekend, I will buy it at full price from my college bookstore and will need a full refund from Neebo.
I really need to return the book I have and receive the one that I PAID to have yesterday. No one from Neebo will return my calls or emails, I've sent three messages from the help page, sat on hold for over an hour two days in a row, waited for a rep on the live chat feature for over 30 minutes two days in a row. I need these problems addressed immediately!
I am extremely frustrated and disappointed in your company. I have been getting my books from Neebo/ PJ's bookstore since 2009 without problem so this is a really big let down. You may contact me at XXX or my cell phone number is XXX. Thanks, XXX.

"I rented two books from this company. Stupidly, I did this without researching it first. My sister sent me several reviews and I immediately called to cancel my order. I waited for over 30 minutes as my call would be answered "in the order in which it was received". I waited for about 20 minutes then proceeded to call on another line. Within 10 minutes my second call was received (making that 30 minutes I waited on the first phone). Absolutely ridiculous. The guy I spoke with told me that the order had not come through the system since it was placed earlier today (glad I canceled because I paid for the two day shipping) but that he would keep an eye out for when it does go through and he will then cancel it and it wont be shipped and I will not be charged. I'm hoping and praying that he means that and I do not get charged. I also informed one of their reps on "live chat". I don't think that the "live chat" is very effective since they make you wait for a response the same way they do on the phone. After reading the other reviews I am terrified that I will be charged for these books even though I cancelled my order. "

"I couldn't find a new copy of the book I needed on any other website so I thought I lucked out when I found it on Neebo. Then, I saw all the negative reviews and thought I'd just been scammed. I waited over 30 minutes to get ahold of someone via the online chat. Once I did, though, she confirmed that their system updates hourly so if they didn't have my book in stock, I would be notified. Thankfully, my orders were filled promptly and both books were received in perfect condition within the timeframe quoted. I would give them five stars if it didn't take 30 minutes to get ahold of someone. "

"Nothing but aggravation. I'm glad I didn't order rental books. I only ordered apparel for my family for Christmas as a last minute thought! The items pictured were not the items I ordered! called CS only to be put on hold for 45minutes! after speaking with the rep, his only advice was to go online to request a shipping label to return them? that's why I called him?? when I went online, their system told me I had no items eligible for return?? so I tried the live chat... BLANK! called CS again (on hold for 20min) & the rep proceeded to tell me how to do it online (that maybe I was in the wrong area). NOPE! it still wont let me get a return label. She puts me on hold again for more than 10 minutes??? when she came back to the phone, I told her to get me a supervisor... guess what - there is none available! they will call me back in 24 - 48 hours! will NEVER shop with them again! THE WORST experience in retail & customer service!"

"Horrible company, careless customer reps. Rented a book from this company for a mini term. When I checked my order after 8 days, nothing was there. The company even forgot to put my order in process. Even 5 days after that date, I was only able to receive a FEDEX mail for the shipment notification. Their due date was a day that my school didn't even finish yet and I've sent the book late. The company doesn't accept its own responsibilities against a renter, but when it comes for your responsibilities, you are the cash cow in their eyes. When I have told this to the rep that they have made a mistake and didn't put my order in process for over a week, he tells me that it is 'OK'. OK for who? For you? Certainly not for me. But they didn't signed anything against me. It is a typical 'I don't care what you do, just give me my money' attitude.
Their competitors had (1) later due dates, (2) more friendly and solution oriented customer care service, and (3) very comparable prices. But unfortunately it was a mini semester and you can not find many books in the middle of a regular semester. This is the one and last time that I ever rent a book from this company. They should read more what they are renting in marketing and customer satisfaction subjects. Shame on Neebo !

"I have never had trouble with renting my books until I rented from Neebo. You can not extend your due date if your unable to get the book shipped in on time, they don't respond to emails and they take forever to answer the phone, I was on hold for an hour. This company is a scam and a law suit should be coming for them. I recommend no students rent from this company. "

"I purchased an audit practice that required to use all materials in packets. Six months later I get a $30 charge because I did not RETURN THE COVER. I did not realize this was a rental and not a purchase because the entire thing was useless after being used.

When I contacted Neebo they could care less and would not let me return it then.

There was absolutely no warning and I think they hoped students wouldnt check their bank accounts and notice this charge.

Its a scam. WILL NEVER RENT THROUGH THEM AGAIN

"Neebo text rental. I rented a CD access code for the spring semester 2014 it came on a piece of paper to be used for the rental period and I paid for it. 6 months later they charged me again, saying they did receive the piece of paper back even if the access code had expired. They did not notify me and they waited six (6) months before they charged my credit card, figuring that by now all the paper work is gone. This is a scam. Never rent from Neebo, it will cost you more. In 4 years of renting books I have never had any issues. NEVER NEVER RENT FROM NEEBO."

"At first I liked Neebo until I was trying to received a refund when I was double charged. I had to call six times over a month and a half period trying to get my full refund to only have multiple mistakes and poor customer serves from Neebo. I was told by several Neebo worker I would get my full refund, which never happened till I requested the supervisor. Neebo treated me horrible as a paying customer and barley made up their horrible serves/ mistakes to me. "

"It has been 2 months since I mailed my textbook to Neebo and not one of them bothered to inform me, email me (to say the least) when I was getting my refund. They have been giving me the run around about my refund due to their excuses. Two whole months have passed and I haven't received my refund? But yet, it still appears that I am still renting their textbook which I have no possession of? This is a scam company who will gladly take your money. Considering this is my first time experiencing horrible customer service, I will never do business with this company ever again. Be warned. "

"I'd give this company less than 1 star if I could. I rented some textbooks with them over the summer, returned them in the same condition and yet two months later they sneak in another $30 charge on my card without even contacting me to say why. Shady company. Don't do business with them"
