"The say you have a hour to cancel after placing the order and once I found a mistake after the 1st 5 minutes of placing an order tried calling to stop the order and was going to resend but they were closed. Then immediately sent email and called first thing next day. They said it had already been published. There was no way to cancel and they said sorry but nothing they could do. I was out $76! and still had to buy another one. They would not honor the 1 hour cancellation notice that is clearly on their website. I have proof with my email that I was trying to stop this within the hour time frame. Beware.. "

"Wow...has this been a trip...I got a promo for a $10 voucher and I can order a 20 page book...well when I logged on and tried to download the book it just kept saying that I needed to put in my email address...so I tried calling and no one answered the phone...then I tried to chat and the chat didnt work....so I sent an email....I did get an email back a couple days later...it said....

so i called this morning and I get a message saying they are having employment training and wont answer the phones until 2pm. I was irratated pretty bad by this point...tried chat...and email again....
I think did my own research and looked for a download of the program online....I found it and downloaded it....I wrote and email back saying nevermind and started on the book...which took me a couple of hours...
So im thinking okay this is it....I go to purchase and and it says my session timed out...so i called the rep on hold for over 15 mins btw... it states to call them on the page....and he tells me he doesnt know what the problem is and that i shouldnt use wireless and to get hard wired in....WELL I wish I would have known that! in the first place...I was worried about whether my credit card got charged he assured me it wasnt....so I get off the phone and he told me to press preview and then purchase....well i did then another screen popped up saying that there was an internal error.... ughhhhh.... I called back..on hold for over 10 mins....and this woman answered unpolitely and I tried to tell her what was going on and she just hung up! So I called back again...was put on hold for over 20 mins this man answers...Im trying to tell him whats going on...he's impatient, short, and rude...terrible customer service...i asked him to stay on the phone until I get this done and he says yes...i was trying to tell him about the problems ive been having all day....and he tells me I might have to be hard wired in...I asked him if this doesnt work...can I get my money back...he says no....because that was already purchased...They are crap!What terrible customer service...the application was easy and great to use....Still trying to upload the book...who knows what itll look like when i get it lol....upsets me they have my card saved in there system....sucks I thought I just had to pay for the 10 voucher...then I see a 10.99 charge for fed ex...why not ground ship for cheaper?! Wish I can give you an invoice number but I havent gotten it yet....cuz this darn thing takes forever to upload...had to make up one so I could post this....hello shutterfly!

"Mypublisher does not honor the promotional coupons they send out. I was given a gift certificate and when I downloaded the software, I was sent a coupon good for 2 for 1. When I placed my order they said that the software would not let me use the gift certifiacate and the coupon. They said they were sorry but there was nothing they can do about the problem."

"I've ordered over 20 hardcover books from MyPublisher of various sizes in the past month and a half. Two orders were for 10 copies each of a Classic and Pocket hard cover, one order was for a Deluxe hard cover. Of the Classic, 4 had significant defects like large blotches of color on the pages and scratches on the first page. They gladly allowed me to reorder the 4. The 4 replacements came quickly, but each book still had blotches, 2 had large dents under the printing on the cover, two had white speckles on multiple pages. They have not yet said what to do. Of the pocket books, 2 of them had lots of scratches all over the front page, one has the end sheet separate from the binding. They initially asked me to return all the books for examination (who knows how long that will take). I had already given away the 7 good copies. They then offered to replace the 3. For the Deluxe book ($280 before coupon), the pages were cut incorrectly and the edges of my black pages all had about 2mm of white on them. They offered to replace the book. The replacement arrived with a large dent along the bottom and a separate dent that affected 4 pages along the bottom. They have so far asked me to return this replacement so they can examine it. I have spent well over $1000 on their books and while the good ones are great, I have about $400 in outstanding orders from them in the form of defective books. They simply do not have a good quality control department. I am now waiting for them to decide what to do, because I do not want to have to send in the defective book (at their expense at least), wait for their examination, wait for their response, and wait for yet another replacement for their expensive book. They are probably the most expensive with the most limited software. I used them primarily because I thought they had the best quality printing. Now I am learning the hard way that they just wont have good quality control and poor customer service."

"This website is awful. It is not user friendly. They make you download a program onto your computer(it also doesn't have a uninstaller, found that out today when I tried to uninstall it). I had so much trouble with this program. I had originally purchased a book off a daily discount deal website. So I wanted to get what I paid for.
The program needed a update when I opened it so I pressed okay and it would download part way and freeze (not my computer just the program). I tried multiple times and restarting my computer. Nothing worked. I chatted online with costumer service and they suggested re-downloading the program. This did not work either. I ended up using a different computer in the house and downloading the program onto that computer.
Overall the program is not as good as Shutterfly. It does not have as many embellishments to add to your pages. I haven't received my book yet so I don't know what the quality of the photos or pages are. I would not recommend using this website, if I hadn't already paid for my book I would have given up.

"I am surprised to hear others say that MyPublisher has poor customer service--they were EXCELLENT in my case. I uploaded a book, my second that I've done with MyPublisher, without checking it very well. I was trying to beat the deadline for a very generous coupon that MyPublisher had sent me. I called the next day and they not only cancelled the order so it wouldn't go to press with mistakes in it, but they reinstated my coupon code even though the deadline had passed! They would have been well within their rights to say, "nope, sorry" because their guarantee clearly states they are not responsible for mistakes made by a customer.

Also, for the past couple years I've intentionally been ordering my books from different publishers to try to see who I like best. So far, out of six publishers I've tried, MyPublisher has the BEST quality for the pages inside the book: Crisp, clean images with nice color and luxurious paper. I'm a big fan of MyPublisher.

"Canucks beware!I have ordered from MP in the past and did not have any problems. Given that I paid a total of $34 (FEDEX charged add'l $14 on top of 19.95) for shipping and handling on a $53 dollar order this time, it is hardly worth dealing with MP in the future. Too bad - they have a nice product but for Canadians, it is a rip-off. MP's S&H fee is very misleading. MP refused to do anything!!"

"I was super nervous about ordering from MyPublisher after reading the reviews here, but did so anyway based on much better reviews elsewhere and I'm glad I did! I ordered 3 different books and they all turned out great! I went with the classic hardcover (with a glossy photo cover), satin finish pages, and I paid the few dollars extra for the thicker pages which were nice. They arrived quickly too- I ordered on the 12th and 2 came on the 16th and one on the 17th. My only 2 complaints are that some of the photos get a little cut off in the binding process (so make sure you don't put them too close to the middle), and some of the photos (especially the smaller ones) look like they are over-processed (even though I opted for no processing/correction). The full page photos turned out beautifully though, and those were the ones I was most worried about.
As for customer service, I had a great experience using the chat feature to get help. They were able to answer my question right away, and I'm guessing they're local because it was clear that English was their first language (which sadly seems to be a bonus these days).
Overall, I'd definitely recommend them and will gladly use them again!

"Strike 3. I ordered 3 sets of cards from My Publisher. This first set, I paid over $65 for; and they didn't print the backs, or the envelopes. They said it was my fault, although the proof showed it clearly. I then used a coupon for 20 free; and the backs printed, but cut off both edges of the words on the side. I ordered 20 more; it did it again. Never, ever again. Customer service? Don't exist; never returned my emails."

"If you ever want to receive your Christmas cards, DO NOT ORDER from this company. I ordered cards and NEVER received notice that they had issues with one of my pictures-they simply cancelled the order without notifying me. They had my e-mail and phone nummer and never bothered to let me know--therefore picture Christmas cards aren't going out this year. Thanks, My Publisher!!"

"Very upset at the lack of communication from MyPublisher for not letting customers know when their order has been cancelled by the company. I had received a free order with a promo and then the company sent me another postcard with an individual promo code for another free order of Christmas cards. The code worked and I placed my order, received a confirmation email stating my order would be shipped in 3-6 days. After over 2 weeks of waiting for our Christmas cards, I call the company only to find out my order was cancelled because only 1 promo can be used per household. This was somewhere in find print. So future suggestions. #1 Don't send another free promo code to a household that cannot use it. #2 Don't sent a confirmation email that the order is complete and will be shipped shortly #3 If you are going to cancel a customer's order, ATLEAST send them an email or let them see that it was cancelled in their account. Now we are left with rushing to get Christmas cards... from another company."

"This was my first attempt at having a outside source print a coffee table book of my landscape photographs. I found the book creation software to be easy to use and the choices for layout and text more than sufficient to my creative needs. I placed an initial order for 14 books on Friday evening the 2nd of December. I chose upgrades for both the book jacket and paper.
The books arrived today and are absolutely beautiful. The quality of my photos is exemplified in truly reproduced and rich colors. I ordered an additional 8 copies for friends and will be proud to give these out for holiday presents. I had been concerned after reading some of the negative experiences of others on this site, my personal experience could not have been better (especially with the two-for-one coupon I used). I will use My Publisher again and recommend without hesitation.

"I had a problem with the text cutting off on the jacket. I had to send photographic evidence and they sent me a code to replace it. Same problem. Now I am just going to pick a different layout but getting customer service to understand this is painful so I don't know how it will turn out. All looked fine on preview and the share feature. I won't use them again or recommend."

"I should have listened to these reviews!! I used the buy one get one coupon for my first time to create a wedding album for my grandmother's. The quality of the pictures was horrible. The colors were so exaggerated. To give a few examples, my husband's lips looked like they had lipstick on them (he has pretty pale lips) and my father looked like a lobster! I was so displeased and such a waste of money. I contacted customer service and they wanted "proof" in pictures. I sent them pictures and they replied with: ..." the issue in your book seems to have been a result that occured during the creation process. Please be aware we do not make any color corrections and we print the file as it is."

I highly disagree. I ordered the book through Mixbook with the same exact high quality professional photos and the book came out amazing. (which by the way I highly recommend Mixbook.com, use my referral if you like: http://www.mixbook.com/r/4451181) Also the ease of use is a lot better with Mixbook. I had trouble making pictures smaller/bigger with MyPublisher. If I could give MyPublisher 0 stars, I would!
