"My order did not process the free shipping promotion. It showed on the checkout screen as $0 shipping, however when the charge finalized it was $14.00!!
I immediately tried to cancel per the instructions on the website and was taken to a black screen. Sent 2 emails asking for a shipping refund or an order cancellation. Received no response for 3 days, then was informed that the order had already charged and I should get a refund within 2 months after the refund had been approved by accounting!! Very poor business practices and NO live customer service, everything is done through email - SLOWLY!!"

"Amazing selection and great prices, but wow what a frustrating shopping experience. I have literally waited weeks and weeks for my orders to be completely fulfilled. I currently have another open order. I have received no notification of backorders, I have never received any indication of when missing items are expected to ship.

Then items from whole orders arrive in separate shipments with a single bottle of supplements packed in an 18"x11" box filled with plastic packing material. This is the packaging policy of a business that calls itself "MotherNature"??!?

I have complained about the horrendous backorder policies and lack of communication before and received no compensation or apology. So, I give the company yet another chance, and here I sit again - waiting with no idea of when I might possibly receive the balance of my order. Last chance y'all!!!!"

As others have noted, my recent order was noted as in stock. Credit card was charged in full on order date. No word after two weeks. I submitted a question and did receive email response - warehouse was out of stock, awaiting order from distributor. Frustrated at the charge that occurred WITHOUT product shipment, I canceled the order. I've been told it could take two billing cycles for my refund to appear on my credit card account. TWO MONTHS?
Best practices of online services are very easy to track: proactive communication. Charges made ONLY after shipment of order.

"I placed an order on 8/8/2011 It is now the 25th of august and I have only received one item and it came damaged. I had to contact the company to find out the status of my order and why it had not shipped. When I finally got a response I was told that the items were not in stock, and they were not sure when they would be. When i was told I could cancel the order I submitted the request to cancel it and nothing has been done. Poor communication from a company that jerks their customers around. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN."

"I have purchased from MotherNature.com over the years and was always pleased until this year. Products that stated they were in stock were in fact in stock and promptly shipped. I had issues with an order in January, but decided it was a fluke and I would try again. However, my most recent order on 7/24 has been a disaster. Items supposedly in stock were not in stock. It took over 2 weeks to get my first items. I am still waiting for the rest of my shipment. I should note my credit card was charged on the day of my order. You cannot contact these people by phone. I have received only one response to 4 emails. I am not sure what happened to this company but use it at your own risk."
