"The site is very professional and instills confidence. I liked the fact that these guys specialize in monitors, both CRT and LCD. It is a bonus that their prices are some of the lowest and that shipping was free. Tech support even responded very quickly with a silly question I had about cables.

Shipping was pretty quick considering it was UPS ground from California to NYC. A hassle-free purchase all-around, and I am quite satisfied with the product (Hitachi 17: LCD monitor).

"I ordered an in-stock LCD monitor Friday morning. It arrived in good condition (Tidewater, VA) on Monday afternoon. This is my first order with MonitorsDirect (a.k.a. Cornerstone Peripherals) and their service was first-rate.

I had a problem trying to finalize my order on their web site; they helped me fix the problem quickly and without fuss. I clicked the Submit (or something like that) button, but the same order confirmation page was redisplayed and the order was not completed. Several retries generated the same failure.

A call to their toll-free number fixed the problem immediately: The web site generates pop-up windows and I have two pop-up blockers, Privoxy and Mozilla. He asked me to call him back after retrying the web order so he could tell me whether the order was accepted. It was. The service rep also said he spoke to the "web developers" who reported they would remove this (mis-)feature. YMMV.

Summary: At this time, their web site requires Javascript and generates "unrequested" pop-up windows.

Total slighly-frustrating delay: 10 minutes.

Overall: I'd order from the again.

"I know this is going to be repetitive to probably most other posts but here it goes... To begin with, I will never buy a monitor anywhere else BUT MONITORS DIRECT! When the new Planar PX171M lcd hit the market, monitorsdirect were the FIRST to have it in stock, AND they offered the lowest price I could find anywhere on the net. I read up on there great record here at resellerratings and I ordered it and recieved it promptly without a problem and without any dead pixels.
Further down the road, after a couple of weeks I began to have a technical problem and called in tech support. They were very helpful, and I was glad to reach someone right away. Luckily it turned out there was no problem, had to have hooked something up wrong or whatnot, the problem went away, never got it again. Nonetheless, its nice to know that the techsupport is there, speaks english, and can be reached quickly.
Lastly, shipping charges are quite cheap, and I guess best of all, putting aside all the confirmation emails after purchasing I also got an email from the company President making sure everything went fine. I suppose that right there is the epitome of valueing customers.

"MD is the best reseller that I have ever bought from on the web. I help friends and family build PCs as a hobby and so I buy a lot of stuff from different web resellers. I've bought two monitors from MD ( a 21" CRT and a 19" LCD ). I've also recommended them to others who have purchased. Everyone has been pleased about all of their dealings with the company. They deliver exactly when they say they will. All products have been new in the manufacturer's box. No pressure to buy another product or accessories. In fact, I was about to buy another LCD monitor recently when the salesperson almost apologetically pointed out that the Hitachi was a better monitor at at slightly cheaper price. I checked it out and she was right and so I bought the Hitachi. They update you on your order with several emails and give you the UPS tracking link so that you can track the order. I've called 3 or 4 times and the phone was always answered in 1 or 2 rings by a knowledgable, helpful person. I had a technical question about the Hitachi 19" LCD that I bought a couple of weeks ago. I emailed tech support and the head of tech support emailed me back in about 30 minutes with a very good answer. I had a follow-up question and he responded in 10 minutes. Their prices are very competitive with the lowest prices that you will find on monitors. They really do seem very concerned at every level of the organization about doing the right thing for customers. After my latest purchase, I received an email from the president of the company asking for feedback. I replied and he responded with a personal response the next day. I've used several of the very highly rated resellers and MD is anywhere from a little better to a lot better than any of them."

"I had ordered a monitor (2-day fedex) and asked if I could have the tracking number. It is now 3 days and I do not have a tracking number or monitor. I have spoken with 4 representatives and they keep telling me they will contact me with a tracking number but have not done so yet. They told me their monitors ship from several factories in other states and they have no means of contacting their other factories. Their online tracking service is of no help either. They also told me that their monitors get lost all the time - not very comforting. I would not order again from this company. They have poor customer service. Order from Amazon then you will at least have a tracking number to try to find where your monitor is."

"The first thing that truly impressed me from the beginning, and kept me going back to their site, was the "Risk Free Guarantee." No nonsense, no shady language, no vague caveats, just plain English. The Guarantee speaks for itself.

Secondly, they have a great team member in Jim Witkowski. Not only was he a great help, he was very patient and answered several, and I do mean several, e-mails over the course of a 24-hour period. Although I was prepared to pay more, Jim helped me determine that the p2450 was the best monitor for my needs, even though it cost less. Now that is RARE these days.

Simply stated, they put customers first! Great people + great products + great customer service = great company to do business with. Highly recommended!

"Fantastic experience. I bought the Hitachi CML174
from MonitorsDirect and it has been a first class experience. The customer servirce is the best in the business. The president will email you and even return your emails. They were very eager to help clear a question I had. I will always shop here first for monitors. RE: The Hitachi is rated as a 16ms monitor which means @62FPS, However, I am getting up to 92FPS online in MOHAASpearhead. This is the LCD for gaming folks!

"I first found this site searching for a fair
price and good selction for an LCD monitor.
I had specific space issues to deal with and their
sales staff was patient and helpful in finding
the correct product for my needs/ budget.
UPS then proceeded to lose the monitor.
The concern and ultimate soltion to satisfying
me regarding this purchase was more than I asked
for in compensation for time lost and well
beyond anything I would have expected.This
company puts SERVICE/ CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
above everything else and puts anyone else

"Ordered an LCD monitor from them. Bought it during a promotion so I got free shipping and and some money off. Thir warrenties seem great so I got one too. They called to confirm my credit card number because of different billing and shipping addresses which made me feel confident in them. Delivered on time. No dead pixels which had me relieved. So many places have policies where u neeed a certain number or they won't take it back, but they had none, though they have a 30-day money back guarentee, so I felt safe. A great experience."
