"My son loves going to school, I know he is cared for and valued. I did not find the front front office staff welcoming or friendly, though I think the new director will improve this as she has already said more friendly things to me than the former director/front office said since we began there last year."

"Cascade summit is a wonderful learning community. They have a STEM room, exploratory outdoor play, and lots of learning. This is a wonderful program, with lots to offer. This definitely isn’t just a daycare. In regards to previous reviews- About a year ago there was a switch over in upper management and It’s been a great change. "

"The class and teacher are good, as well as the other kids. Safety at the school is concerning. There are a number of things we've observed. One major call out is there often is nobody at the front desk, additionally frewuently the front desk is unattended as well as the directors office with doors to both wide open, meaning kids or adults could easily access the school on leave the school without supervision"

"The teachers we have at this school (Becky and Maria) have been amazing. The turnover of the toddler classroom teachers is concerning but will hopefully stabilize. The new director has been a refreshing addition to the school and her engagement with the kids is notable. She has provided much needed leadership. The front administrator has consistently performed below expectations and is the low point of the school. She is occasionially unfriendly, often insincere and consistently incompetent. It feels like if the director was able to get better administrative support she would excel even more."

"My child’s teachers are excellent! However, I continue to be concerned with the amount of turnover and the difficulty hiring quality teachers who will stay long term. It seems to be a direct reflection of unwillingness of corporate to pay the going rate for care. It has created an unfortunate cycle where short staffing exhausts teachers, and they aren’t motivated to stay when the work is so tough and pay isn’t great. It seems to be getting worse, especially at the toddler end. The school community is so great, it is disappointing to see these short comings and I feel like eventually families are going to leave."

"I have been very impressed with the Assistant Director Shannon and my daughters direct teacher Aimee. They are both amazing,Friendly, direct and know my name and my daughters name and always give us very warm greetings. I expect the director from a school to be warm, nurturing and have the ability to lead from the top and always communicate with the parents.The cleanliness of this school needs to be addressed and taken into control."

"I had an issue with the school and I feel like it caused my child to be treated differently. Things have mildly resolved, but not because of any effort on the part of the school."

"Like I said before, we love the community here and we've stayed because of that. There's been a lot of turnover in the 2+ years since my child was enrolled and a lot of it has been hard. I want to walk into the school and feel a sense of positivity, see smiling faces and happy kids, parents and teachers but there's been an air of stress since the beginning of the school year. As parents, it's difficult enough to drop our kiddos off but to not know who the teacher or assistant is going to be in the classroom or to see teacher's stressed out (they do not state this, but I'm just assuming this by body language), is really difficult to witness every day. I know things can't be turned around in an instant but it would be great to get a pulse from Tammy or Shannon that things are being worked on or to understand priorities and plans of action. I feel in the dark. More communication is always better than radio silence. I really appreciate everything they are doing but to know something is happening behind the scenes would give me more comfort than I've had these past couple of months."

"Overall, communication could improve. It is hard to reach the director and we don’t receive our child’s daily report until 7pm most nights. Our child’s head teacher is always gone by the time we pick up and the other staff has no insight into how the day has gone."

"I have been happy with the facilities of this school. However, our particular teacher rarely shares information with us, and we rarely receive photos and stories about what our child did that day. I do see other teachers providing that type of enrichment for children and parents, so I am encouraged that once my child gets older she may receive that level of care."

"The teachers are wonderful. The atmosphere is great and the price is good.The Director is a problem. She seems “checked out.” When bringing concerns to her attention, she smiles, nods, says “I hear you” and nothing else. No follow up either.I’m speaking with other parents, this is a common concern. I have a few friends who decided not to join the school because of feedback they received about her. And when recommending the school, the Director is the one point of concern that I bring up. Some of us are discussing escalating our concerns to corporate, so please work with Rose to improve in this area ASAP!She’s obviously a good hiring manager (because the teachers are great), but we need to know that she takes our concerns about our children seriously. Their little lives are ultimately in her hands while they are there."
