Less than one star

"My second unsatisfactory interaction with this company!!!! Ordered lens on 12/18/23. Their confirmation email states they will arrive by 12/28/23. Another email states they will be shipped 01/02/24. And yet another email states they will be shipped on 01/05/24. I call on this date (01/05) and am told they do not even have my lens from manufacturer and “hopefully” they will have them by today (01/08/24). I call today to verify that they have them and to get a shipping update and am told they still do not have them to ship. At this point I demand to cancel my order and get a refund of the $398 that they processed on 12/18/23. I’m switched to a supervisor who states they “just got them” and they already have a tracking number so I cannot cancel the order but will have to wait to receive and return them…. A process that will take 3-4 weeks before my money will be credited. And NO, my lens are not custom. This company is ridiculous with their stupid rebate system that makes their contacts SEEM like a good value. They make claims about how quick their service is and how easy dealing with customer service is—— ALL LIES. I called a competitor and was assured my lens RX was available and could be at my door in 3 days with only a $16 increase in cost.
I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN

Never Again

"I've ordered contacts before and the price was pretty much what I was paying at the eye doctor when it wasn't covered by insurance. But THIS PRICE...NO!! I had to pull punch the numbers into the calculator to figure out the taxes and fees. How the hell for 1 box each(softlens for astigmatism) is a total of $91.88...fine...but taxes and fees a lil over $47!?!? No!!!! Taxes should be less than $6.50...how the hell are the fees $40!?!? And get this...there is still a $9.95 shipping charge on top of that. Hell no!! Lens.com just lost me!!!"

Lens.com is horrible, ripoff,scam

"They offera great price after a rebate. The rebate is from the company not the manufacturer. Before you chek out, they have added Taxes and processing fees that are equal to or greater than the amount of the rebate, so you are paying for your own rebate! They hide all additional expences and costs until late in the checkout process. They are a total scam. Avoid at all costs. Total ripoff!!!!"

No order received after 40 days and unwilling to provide a refund

"I placed an order from Lens.com on 11/7/2023. After a week of not receiving the order I contacted their support team and found out that their system had changed the address I entered (using the USPS system) and had shipped to the wrong address - I entered the same address for both the billing and shipping address, however, conveniently the billing address was not changed. The first agent I talked collected my correct address and said the order would be reshipped. After another week of waiting I contacted customer support again who told me that the contacts were at their warehouse waiting to ship and I would receive an email confirmation when it shipped. I waited two more weeks and contacted them again - I was told the order had been delivered and had to re-explain that the order had been delivered to the incorrect address. Apparently no order had been re-shipped and the first two agents blatantly lied. I asked for a refund three times (at this point it has been 40 days since I submitted this order and I'm wearing glasses because I'm out of contacts) - they were unwilling to provide a refund or escalate the support conversation to someone that could help.

Such a frustrating experience from both the company and their support team. I will never buy from Lens.com again.

These people are crooks

"Looking for a box of contacts to get my son through to his next eye appointment. When I get to the page, it says $48 for a box of contacts. When I add them to the cart, it changes to $78 since I didn't order a year's worth. Then they say it's $9.99 for shipping (which is a rip-off). When you get to the last page it should be $88 plus tax (about $5), so about $93. Inexplicably, the total price goes to $115. No explanation. They are just hoping you don't notice (because they hide it on the screen) that they have over $20 in "fees". I only found this out through a chat session. This is literally a bait and switch hoping you won't notice. I would never buy from dishonest people like these and I feel badly for the people that have gotten taken by them. Buy from Costco or Walmart if able. Straightforward and good prices."

Rebate issues

"Bought lens for $300 hoping for a rebate of $105. because i was one week late in submitting receipt Lens.com would not issue the rebate.
OK, my fault i guess, even though good PR would/ could have extended or given me another. I ordered again when i ran out of lens & was issued the rebate. I went to use the Visa card issued & found out it had expired.
Called cust service & asked for another & was refused.
$210 rebates down the drain-too bad Charlie-that's why gift cards are so lucrative.

Worst company to order lenses

"They changed the delivery date 4 times., contacted costumer service to cancel they told me they but they won't., so I was back and forth and I needed to dispute the charge with my bank im partiality blinde and trusted this company to fulfill an order and they failed in every single sense. This seller is horrible. I should never have ordered from them. You shouldn’t either

"This company is horrible. I placed an order from them on 7/6/ They gave me an estimated delivery date of 7/19-21. Then on 7/14 they sent me an email saying there was an unexpected delay from their supplier, but the lenses would be shipped on 7/24-26 and I would have them between 7/31-8/2. 8/2 came and went, with no lenses. I called them on 8/9 and the rep (the same ones they tout as friendly and helpful) said that now they expected the lenses to ship 8/26 and I would have them no later than the first week of September. When I asked: (1) how do I know that that would actually happen, given that they’d already missed two different dates, and (2) what was I supposed to do in the meanwhile, given that I am only supposed to wear my lenses 2 weeks and then discard them, and I was almost out of lenses, the rep kept just saying “I apologize for the inconvenience.” She also refused to put me on with a supervisor, although I insisted that one call me back. The next day I got an email saying that my lenses’ expected ship date was now 8/23-25 and ETA was 8/30-9/1. When a supervisor finally called me he was worse than useless. He would not offer any solution to me not having lenses and wouldn’t even give me expedited shipping when (if) the lenses ever ship. “I’m sorry. We’re not running any promotions for this” was all he kept repeating over and over. I should never have ordered from them. And you shouldn’t either. I wanted to give ZERO stars. ZERO. (I’d give a negative number if I could.) But this site insisted I give at least one. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible experience. They take zero responsibility for anything. It’s all their supplier’s fault. And they don’t do customer service. They only do disservice. "

Great prices

"I was thrilled to find that the prices for toric lens on Lens.com were so affordable! No other sites could even come close or compare. The only downside was that the shipping seemed to take longer than expected, but for the money I saved it, it was well worth the wait! "

Hidden fees that are very unethical

"They have hidden fees that are not itemized or shown at ANY point in the purchase procedures.
The customer does not EVER see what the additional charges are or what they are for even when checking out online. The customer representative we called admitted there were the hidden fees that are not itemized anywhere. We had difficulty trying to figure out why the advertised price promised on the web site did not match the checkout price at all. It turns out it is hidden processing fees that caused an upcharge.

This is repulsive, immoral behavior.

I do not care if it is the cheapest contact lens price in the universe - I will not do business with these dishonest people.
