"Horrible customer service. I ordered a scratch and dent laptop on 8/9. I get an email that it should be here by 8/16. I call today because I still do not have a tracking number. The rep told me that he didn't have one either but will email me when one is available. I asked about why it takes so long to ship a laptop that's already built? He had no explanation. He said that it probably won't get here until Monday and a signature is required. So no laptop on Monday. He told me it takes 3-4 days to "process" an order. Absolutely horrible shipping and customer service. I've ordered three laptops from them in the past and twice they've dropped the ball on shipping. Once they sent me a defective laptop. This will likely be the last laptop I'm purchasing from them unless they make things right (which I doubt)."

"Do not order direct from these idiots!!! I tried to order a laptop in May and they have continued to delay shipping. After the last shipping eta was pushed out to the end of June, I cancelled my order and ordered a laptop from PC Connection which shipped same day. I confirmed the order cancellation by phone and via email but they keep sending me order status updates with a shipping ETA. I'm afraid I may need to dispute this with my credit card company if they try to process and ship my order in the next month. This has been the worst possible customer service I've ever had to deal with. You are far better off doing business with a reputable retailer than trying to order direct from these clowns."

"Absolutely horrendous service from their customer support, if you'd even call it that. I called in, followed the 7 more unorganized prompts to be sent to IBM who then transfered me to the "right" people. The customer support lady was more focussed on getting all of my information I'm surprised she didn't ask for my social security #. All I wanted to do is to price the repair of one of their poorly manufactured products and they said they can't. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor and was put on hold for 20 mins because they were already in an escalation. Moments like these. Spending $800+ on a product doesn't deserve treatment like this. Moment's like these I wish I stuck with Apple."

"After three weeks, my Thinkpad X1 Carbon is still not repaired.

They try to replace every single piece in your laptop rather than to give you a new one. This can need weeks. They have so bad phones in the customer service, that it's hard to understand them and you have to wait a long time.

"Yeah, the customer service sucks!!! My son ordered a computer then same day changed his mind, told him to call and cancel asap.. yeah right... run around still dealing with them, this was 4-1 finally got email after we called every day.. showed it was cancelled on 4-6, but my credit card still says pending, so I call on 4-8, the girl tells me it wasnt cancelled but I am looking at the my order and it showing cancelled.. so she says she will take care of it. i look on there today and now it is showing it was cancelled on 4-8 credit card still showing pending UGH!!! what a nightmare. I just tried to call again and on hold forever.. I will see what they tell me next!!! I swear if that computer shows up at my door grrrrr after my son ordered another one I hear to ship them back is a pain too!!! wish me luck."

"I purchased a Lenovo Lynx and keyboard dock

-To highlight one of the many issues with this device, I will by typing this review on the keyboard dock option:

-There is a major issue with the dock, it simply cannot handle fast typing, onany level, as justoccurred, a keystroke, most often the space, will not register. Trying different angles and pressure did not help. I tried a Bluetooth keyboard and it was fine, s the issue is not with Windows 8 or other software. Thouh many reviews have stated mentied this issue, on both Amazon and by professional reviews, Lenovo claims it is not a known issue.

-Next the keyboard does not seem to charge the devie while it is plugged in. It will charge the tablet if it has power, however once plugged nto the wall it stops charging the tablet, it also does not charge from thewall while the tablet is plugged in. This could be a defect in this device, it seems likely as there is another issue that is most certainluy a defect; the battery in thedock just suddenly drops 30% of itscharge a some point during use. It has happened very time I have used it so far. It also does not charge to full all the time.

-Thouh th dck connection is quite strong to the tablet, the keyboard has a notable amount of give especially toward the front, where eventhe smallest pressure can depress it.

-Typing is annoying even without the flawed entry, as they onscreen keyboard pops up every time, even though there is a keyboard attached, and takes up most of your text field.

-The tablet itself, seems solid, though there is an obvioue anduntractive seem between thefront and back.

-The speakers are lightly below average for a tablet of this size.

-The screen is nearly the only positive, it is bright, ery bright and has goodcolour accuracy.

-The only other positive is the tablet doescharge via standard USB, which is a great option is you are on the go.

Customer service:

I kn it is eay to overlook this, but service matters, and Lenovo's is terrible. After reporting these issues, many of them l known as I said, Lenovo sai these are not known issues, and no recall is offered. Worse,to ship my device for a repair (which likely will not repair the typing issue) they reqired me to ship the tablet with it. They also did not offer any cross shipping, so I am simply out a tablet for 6-10 business days.

This is by far the worst device and experience I have ever had. I can't even return the dam thing, because I had to buy the keyboard from an American vender, as I learned aft the fact that you can't buy th dam thing in Canada, not even off Lenvo's sit.

I have owned many devices, including the Transformer Prime, which is a very similar device, this is the first timeI have ever felt compelled to write a bad review for a product, avoid at all costs.

"The worst computer experience i have ever had in my life. Brand new computer arrived defective and i tried with 4 phone calls to over 2 weeks to get it exchanged. Only can get people in India who tell you that you will hear back from someone in 3-5 business days - after i ask them to repeat themselves 2-3 times since i can't understand what they are saying! 2 weeks later i have not heard from anyone. Just sending the computer back and would high recommend you STAY AWAY FROM LENOVO"

"Build quality of laptop was horrible, had multiple repairs immediately. The phone support is terrible, their RMA process is cumbersome, and their repair centers are incompetent. There is a reason why they, unlike their competitors, charge a restocking fee if you're unsatisfied with their product. BEWARE!"

"I had purchased a laptop from the outlet store after having good feedback from speaking with a sales associate. When I received the order confirmation that same day, the 4th of Feb, I had been shipped the wrong T430, a s instead of a u. When I called immediately I was told I was unable to cancel, I called back when they refused to transfer me and someone said they couldn't either so I had to call again and the third person said that they would be able to cancel it. The next day I received tracking info and the item was being shipped. Called in two more times to try and get it cancelled to no avail, a third time proved effective and the shipment was turned around in transit. When the item was received back at the warehouse on the 9th of Feb I called in regards to my refund being processed. The first two people that I spoke to assumed the "Delivered" status meant I had received the item, the third person finally understood the situation and said they would try to issue a refund and it would take 3-5 business days before I'd see it reflected on my account. I called in on the 14th of February to inquire about it's status, of which the first person was confused, and they stated the same thing, 3-5 business days sir. I called in two more times, the first unable to understand the situation and the second being unhelpful as well. I called back in on the 21st of February to inquire about my refund, first time the person was unhelpful to an extreme degree (tried to read the same paragraph I had been read before after telling me that the item had been delivered). The second person was also equally unhelpful and the third proved to be of the same quality. I called in a 4th time to find that the person was somewhat helpful and stated that no refund had been started and then quoted me the same thing, 3-5 business days. I then called in on the 23rd to make sure it had gone through, first time failing to even get my query across and the second person quoting the same thing as the past and a fourth confirming that the request had been received. I then called on the 25th to check only to receive not only an unhelpful rep but a rude one that made accusations about my character as well as my purchase. When I called the next day on the 26th I tried other departments for help. Every person I spoke to couldn't help me cause they didn't know what I was saying, would not help me at all and rudely hung up or simply stated that they don't deal with anything after the product has been shipped. When I continued my research I refound my hope that IBM's old quality was hidden under the MASSIVE layer of terrible that seems to be Lenovo's support, so I called in to see about purchasing one from a person. The first person stated that they would help and send me quotes via e-mail. Nothing by late the next day so I called them and let a voicemail. Nothing again the next day, same thing. Third day I tried to get a hold of someone who dealt with selling to military personnel, as I am active duty. I was routed to a few different people before they quoted me the standard price that you could find on Lenovo's website, when I inquired if they had anything for students they then quoted me the price from the site for student purchases. I called in to inquire about if my University had a purchasing program and I was routed to my "rep". He said he would quote me some prices for my build and would call me with them. 15 minutes later another rep calls and said they were asked to help, they quoted me the standard online price, followed by the student price when I inquired, and said they could not help further. Tried two more times calling in for purchasing help and none was really received except "Just buy it from the website". I have since had a order already placed for me using my credit card for a T430u without my complete consent and I'm expecting more craziness to ensue as I PCS overseas for a stay of 4 years.

Throughout this whole process I was amiable and let them do their work as I had admired IBM Thinkpads since I was working on them in High School and college. I tried my best to deal with the side of Lenovo that was based in Malasia and could barely understand me, let alone read a script properly, as I am a linguist and I know how hard it can be. Despite all these things I had hope that someone good could come of it but I have only just received my refund on the 1st of March (almost a month later) only to find being double charged for another laptop. I don't think I could recommend this experience to anyone and I am sad to say that I may never get that Thinkpad I had wanted.

"For those of you who dont want to read this whole review...
DONT BUY FROM LENOVO.
for those of you who want to know why, this is my story.

My experience with Lenovo was FUN! just kidding. It was the furthest thing from fun. Like many other reviews, I had similar experiences with their customer support. But I guess thats what you get when your talking to someone in India about a product thats being made in China, with whom neither have any communication to. I placed an order about a month ago, it was cancelled. So after many phone calls I thought I had placed another order, just to find out a week later that the order was never actually placed. So I used a new email to place another order and BAM! it gets cancelled. Finally the credit card company calls lenovo directly and gets it all straightened out. So my order has an estimated ship date of a week (mind you its been over a week since the original order placement) but what happens next? Order gets delayed, 3 TIMES to a month later. So after reading some reviews of the service and other products, I decide I dont have the time or patience for this anymore, and I call to cancel the order. They tell me the cancellation takes 3 business days to process, and on the fourth business day I receive and email, can you guess what it says? YOU ORDER HAS SHIPPED. WHAT?!?! you mean the order that was gonna take a month to ship? The order that i cancelled? So many phone calls later, the credit card company refuses to pay the bill on the laptop and the people in india - "the customer support" says they will reroute the product back to Lenovo.. Well 3 days later, as of yesterday, a package from Lenovo showed up at my doorstep. Now I have to try and get them to send me the return slip so I can send it back? Serious lack of communication between customer service and the actual production facility. case end point is

"Solid 1/5, and that's generous. Lenovo has frozen my laptop order (on my credit card) for over a month in order to provide my laptop, with delays being incrementally added every time I reach a new ship date, and no REAL estimate in store at all. This is a headache. They have not even offered compensation, and have had absolutely TERRIBLE customer support. I will definitely not buy a Lenovo again, and I can't imagine how long I will have to wait if I have to ship this Lenovo back for repairs at any point (I stupidly bought the warranty before I realized how terrible their customer service was - $80 down the drain)."

"Wow... What a headache. Lenovo just doesn't support its product unless you pay for premium support. Lenovo's slogan: "for those who do" it themselves. If you intend to upgrade the storage in a windows 8 lenovo computer be aware you should factor in the cost to either buy $60 recovery discs from lenovo support or to rebuy windows 8. They do not include the option to burn recovery discs. The built in windows 8 recovery usb drive creator will not restore to a blank drive meaning if you lose function of your original storage drive, you've lost your OEM windows installation permanently. You will get the runaround by Lenovo. They've sold you their product already and they are content with that. Absolutely no priority on post sales support. Out of box from day 1 there is no software warranty. I am not kidding. You want to go ahead anyway? Be my guest. I was just like you, I thought I'm tech literate, surely I can handle bad support. Save money and buy a better laptop brand."

"I ordered a Y400 on Dec. 7 and my order was delayed THREE times already. The original estimated shipping date was 12/13, then 12/17, then 12/21. There is no way that the laptop will get to me by CHRISTMAS despite their BS "expedited shipping." My order's estimated arrival date is in 2013!!!

Customer service was completely useless and unwilling to change my shipping address even though I kept telling them I would not be available to accept the package.

I ordered from Acer a week prior and received the laptop in less than a week. It took me less time to receive, return, and get refunded from Acer than for Lenovo to even MAKE my laptop. Unacceptable.

THEIR SHIPPING DATES ARE BOGUS so prepare to wait a month+ to get your laptop. They sell you products they don't even have on hand! NEVER ORDERING FROM THEM AGAIN!!!
