"DON'T DO IT!! DON'T BUY ANYTHING FOR THESE PEOPLE. I wish I would have read the reviews on this company before I purchased anything. I spent $240 I placed my order online on 11/2/09 no where on the site does it say how long it will take until you actually enter all your credit card information and the order is processed then it says 10-14 business days. I called the next day to cancel the order and they told me that I couldn't cancel because the order was being processed. So they REFUSED to cancel the order. Then I see things were on back order even when it showed that the item in stock so now I have to wait 3 weeks before those items get to LTD Commodities and who knows when I will get them. I check the order status on line and it stated that the order was scheduled for delivery for 11/12/09 which was total BS because I called UPS and checked the tracking and I was informed that the package wasn't picked up yet. So they are telling you to expect your package but the only thing that you can expect is for them to LIE and BS you. Spend the extra free bucks and buy it from a more dependable place. When you want to speak to a rep you have to wait a minimum of 30 minutes on hold just for them to laugh at you or hang up. When I told them I was going to lodge a complaint against them their response was go ahead we'll make that note on your acct and they hang up on you. SAVE YOURSELF THE AGGRIVATION AND DON'T, DON'T, DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STUPID COMPANY. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!!!

UPDATE............
I contacted the BBB and low and behold I received an email from LTD saying tha my order was shipped and OMG I receive the package the following day and Michelle J responds to mky complaint with the BBB saying that she tried to get in contact with me which is TOTAL BS. Still missing the socks and seat cushions. Then I check my email and it says tht te socks were shipped on 11/17 today is 12/1 and I have yet to receive them. I wrote a rebutal to their response on 11/27 and I get a phone call from Michelle talking about how they have 14 days for me to receive the socks and that they are unable to track it because it was put in the regualr mail. TOTAL BS. You pay for shipping and they drop it in the mail. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE? I think not. Then she informs me that the chair cushions are there but she doesn't know when they are going tobe shipped. I think now they are being totally spiteful. Then Michelle tells me "OH, I'M GOING TO HAVE YOU REMOVED FROM THE MAILING LIST!!" Boo who who. Is that a threat? like i would ever buy anything from them ever again. OH here's another thing...
I brought towels and I just took them out of the package and washed and dryed them, I'm LUCKY THAT I DIDN" BURN THE DAMN HOUSE DOWN!!! When I took them out of the dryer there was so much lint aka material that the towels were made of that the filter couldn't take anymore Imean it was like an 1"-1.5" of lint!!!!! I can't wait to be done with these people. I suggest that you get in contact with the BBB and REPORT THESE SCAMMERS. Good luck to all of you.

"LTD Commodities has to be the worst company to order from. I placed an order of 3 items in late march and i recieved the first item 3 weeks later, than i recieved the second item today (3months later). The 3rd item i still have not received.
This company does not tell you how much is the shipping and handeling fee. I made a call asking them how does their shipping and handeling work, their response was, they divide the shipping and handeling based upon the deliveries. I said ok thats fair but when i recieved both printed invoices the shipping and handeling was around $7 each. My opinion, that is expensive especially because most of the products are not made well. I advise anyone to "just" save their money and purchase a more expensive product. I learned my lesson and now know what they mean by the saying "you get, what you pay for".
Hopefully someone from the LTD Commodities company takes notice of these reviews and makes a change in their actions.

"THE WORST COMPANY IVE EVERY ORDERED FROM. EVERYTHIG I ORDERED FOR CHRISTMAS WAS BACKORDERED AND ARRIVED IN FEBRUARY; WHEN SENDING ITEMS BACK IT TOOK FOREVER TO GET MY ACCOUNT CREDITED AND WHEN I CALLED TO FIND OUT MY BALANCE I WAS TOLD THAT MY ACCOUNT HAD BEEN TURNED OVER TO COLLECTIONS!!! UNBELIEVABLE. NOT TO MENTION THE AMOUNT OF MINUTES I SPENT ON MY CELL PHONE BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE A 800 CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER."

"I had placed an order with LTD and needed to change my address and thier web-site said that in order to due so change it with your next order which I did. After I had sent in my pre-paid order and saw that the check had cleared, I went back to thier web site and saw that my pld address was stil on there so I called and tried to get the right address on the account before it was shipped the " customer service rep." said there was nothing to worry about all would be shipped to the right address. So the next day Iwent on and see the one package was shipped I went to track it and they sent it to the old address. Again I called back they were very very rude and said I should have called in to change the address and if I would have done that then there would have been no mix up. I then got angry as that is not what the web site tells you to do.After waiting 40 minutes for supervisor she tells me that nothing can be done that I have to wait for it to be delivered to the wrong place come back or be stolen then and only then they will look in to it and either send out a new shipment or refund money which can take up to 2 months. I was furious and told her they should have on the web site to call into any changes. Then I called UPS who they send there packages through and I was told that all LTD had to do was call them give them the right info and all would taken care of. So again I call LTD and tell them this and they say we wont do that you are just going to have to wait the, rep.'s there are the rudest people I have ever dealt with in my life!! They proceed to tkae my order and brake it up into multiple shipments with yet another one on it's way to the wrong address after I had called to all the rught info. I'm fuming at this point this is part of my Christmas and it is just floating around out there. I call them back again to ask about shipping costs and tell them all the time I have spent trying to right their wrong and they say theywont cover any cocsts, big surprise the supervisors are the most lax people and they DO NOT stand behind their customers. I have now taken this matter to my local news in hopes to stop LTD from scamming any one else. They had no problem cashing my check right away but when there is a problem you can wait months to get a package if you ever get it all. Please do not but from this company!!!!!!!"

"Very dissatisfied! First off NO 800 NUMBER! Then when you do call the non-800 number the wait time is ridiculous! I ordered 5 items. Three of which were backordered until mid-January of 2009. Of course they did not tell me this, I had to search for myself why I not gotten any items after 3 weeks of waiting. Even though BEFORE I placed my order I called them to make sure the items(which were to be gifts) would ship out before Christmas, I was assured they would!! Needless to say I was able to cancel the backordered items but I am still waiting for the others which were 'preparing to ship'. Well they have ben preparing those items for over 2 weeks now so I think that they shouold be about ready, how much preparation can it take for a sticker book and christmas angel!!?? Although I have ordered before with not as much hassle as this, this is definitly my LAST order! And my family's as well, who were avid shoppers, too bad becasue of bad customer service and shotty business practices they are losing money! "

"I guess I've been pretty lucky. I have never been asked to pre-pay. On my last order I had 2 items that were out-ot-stock. I received an email advising me of this. I ordered close to 20 items. They came in 2 shipments so the shipping wasn't bad. I've never had anything but good service. I'm happy in dealing with LTD."

"I'm like 50/50 with LTD. Most of the things I bought there were good quality, some were "cheapy". Sometimes the order doesn't come and they don't tell you. So, if it's something you really really need - you might want to call ahead.
I never had to prepay and therefore I don't have no problem in that way.
I don't care for their shipping practices. I had an order of several items. Got one package with quite a few of those items and the S+H was divided amongs those items (that was nice - especially if you're ordering for other people) but the very next day a $6.95-item arrived with $5.16 shipping charge, then 2 days later the next item ($36) came with another $5.16 shipping charge. :-((
It's best if you have several people to order for and preferably order multiple quantities.
I never had a real bad experience with them and do like shopping there.

"Well I wish I had seen this site sooner. I am a first time buyer and I feel like I was scammed. I ordered 1 item back in Oct. Today is Dec.8. NO PRODUCT!!!!! I am so sick about all this because I prepaid. DUMB!! After I paid they said it was backordered. Since they wanted me to prepay, they should have had the item ready for shipping when they cashed my check. They should have told me that it was backordered before I paid. That is wrong!! And to me that is not good business practice. I have called and emailed. I get the run around about the truth of the order. The costumer service people are rude. They lie. And they change the status of orders to make it look as if something is happening with it, when it is not. My order is now shipping. Has been for over a week. Its not shipped. UPS hasn't picked it up yet. BEWARE!!!! I will never order from them again. I hope that this company is looked into. Because their business practices are not up to par!!!!"

"I placed an order on 6/12/06.The site said it could be 10 days or so for product to ship. No biggie, I wasn't in a particular hurry AND I had selected the box labeld "please send me an email when order shipped".
Well I received NOTHING. Infact it had been so long I had forgoten about the order until today. I went online, looked up the status and it showed shipped on 7/3. Interesting that I received no email. More importantly no package. UPS does not take 10days to deliver. Well after checking the tracking info, all they did was submit the billing info. In other words all they did was print a label. Well I contacted them and told them not to bother sending it.....

I got the bog run around, the ORDER dept said they couldn't cancel it in their system, then said she would send an email to that "dept". I asked her for the phone # to that dept in case I was disconnected and was told she did n't have a #. P-l-eeee ase. how can you transfer a call is you don't have the #! she transferred me to customer srvice (who's phone# is clearly posted on THEIR website) and I was in limbo for over 30 min.
Interestingly while holding I emailed the cust serv via the link on their website and low an behold got an answer -while still on hold on the Phone!. Anyway same crap . they can't cance cause it was shipped. When I responded that per their info AND UPS it was not shipped, only the label was created and how come they can answer an email and not their phone#. I no longer got a quick response. When they finally replayed it was with a stock response "Due to the high volume of email requests we receive at this time of the year, you may experience a longer delay than usual in receiving a response to your inquiry. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience."

I am quite sure from the other posting that they will attempt to charge me for something never shipped. more than likely they will ship out today- needless to say the package will be refused.
IF I RECEIVE ANY DEMAND OFR PAYMENT, ACCUSATIONS, ETC from this company I WILL FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE ATTY GENERAL! And I suggest those of you that already have do the same. believe me many such comapnies have been fined and shut down by consumers making them aware!

"I have been going around in circles with this company. I purchased a total of 7 items in which 2 of the items were received defective. I should say that 5 of the items received were in some way damaged. These items were home theater wall shelves and it looked as if they had been in their warehouse collecting dust and being manhandled. I returned 2 of the shelves because I couldn't mask the defect. I enclosed a polite letter requesting the shelves be replaced. I didn't hear from them in 3 weeks, so I emailed LTD and requested the status of my order. They emailed me back and said that at the time of the request, they were out of stock and the items was credited to my account and they could reorder the items if I wanted. Thanks for the info, LTD!! I requested that they reorder in which they placed a prepayment request on the shelves. I have been trying to get them to send the shelves so that I can pay them for the items in one check since the hassle was their fault in the first place. Now they are saying that the address of the account is an apartment number and they can only ship to the business address since they are a business to business mail order company. I used my parents farm business to order the items and had authorization to have the items shipped to my apartment. I informed them of that and they still will not give me my products. This company claims they only sell to businesses (for the employees of course). All of my acquitances that have received books from their employer have had to orde and use their name and address for shipping and billing. Companies are known to terminate employees that misuse company address to ship personal packages. Does LTD really think that their products are being used and shipped to the businesses that they send junk books to? I strongly suggest NOT TO PURCHASE FROM LTD COMMODITIES. They are rude, ruthless, and have no clue about who is actually placing orders. It sure isn't a business to business transaction."

"I have NEVER in my life been more disappointed in the service I received than I have been with LTD Commodities. I am a first time customer and I placed my initial order on 11-15-05. I bought all Christmas presents for my nieces and nephews. I got a confirmation that my order was received and that it would be anywhere from 10 to 14 business days before my order arrived. That was fine. However, after a couple of weeks, I checked the status of my order online. I noticed that two of my items had been canceled. What? I never received ANY notice of this and was happy that I had checked my status. Understanding this can happen (though it was VERY strange for an item to just be canceled WITHOUT ANY notification) I decided to order two more items to replace the canceled ones. I continued to check my order every other day to make sure nothing else got "canceled." I received two of my items and they arrived in totally beat up boxes. . whatever, that's fine. I was getting nervous because Christmas is approaching and I'm without my gifts. I checked the status of my remaining order today 12-9-05 to discover that an item which was listed as "Backordered" but guaranteed to be delivered before Christmas was canceled. Again, no notification. I was furious. I AM furious! After searching for a toll free number (which they do NOT even have) I spent about an hour trying to call some random number which remained busy. I was questioning if this was even a legitimate company or if I got caught up in some crazy scam, but EVENTUALLY I got through. I waited on hold for OVER a half an hour and when I finally got someone they told me that any product they offer in their catalog can be canceled (from the manufacturer) at any time and, basically, you're just out of luck if you were hoping to receive it. Excuse me??!! What company advertises products with NO guarantee they will be able to follow through on their order. I ended up on the phone with a supervisor who told me I should have ordered my Christmas presents in JULY (really??) and he could have cared less that I was a first time customer who didn't even KNOW of this company in JULY!! I wish I NEVER knew of this company. This is the biggest scam I have ever encountered. I order items online ALL the time and I understand if the occasional item runs out. .but, give your customers a heads up when they ORDER so they know there is a risk of that happening!! When I spoke with the supervisor (TIM)and told him that I was very disappointed and would never purchase from them again, he simply said. . ."Okay." I asked for a discount, he said NO (which I figured because he was an irrogant jerk) and told me there was no way of ordering anything new for my THIRD CANCELED item because it was too late. For any new customers of LTD. . I warn you. .DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!! The prices may look appealing but I guararntee that no amount of money you save is worth the hassle. It makes me SICK to think a company can function in this manner and I swear that I will tell EVERYONE I KNOW about what a horrible experience this has been and I hope it all comes back to haunt them."

"I have been going around with this irritating company for over 2 weeks now. Upon placing my most recent order and waiting a week without it being shipped, I looked online at the order status and they wanted a prepay. I nicely email them telling them that I do not owe them anything and to please send my items. 3 or so days later when I finally hear from them they say that I owe from back in October. That is not true, considering I have ordered and paid for 2 orders since then. I even send them a screenshot of my bank's billpay history with my account# blacked out upon which they say I still owe. They tried calling my house with a number blocked from my caller id (which I do not accept). They were rude and they usually ship the items in as many boxes as they can because they charge you a full shipping cost for each box they send. You could have one order in 3 or more boxes each with a separate shipping cost! They finally agreed to credit my account after about 2 weeks of arguing. They say they do it as a gesture of "good faith" as if I was wrong and then they proceed to tell me how I should pay them correctly (no credit cards either which is odd for a big company). It is funny, considering that I have used Billpay 3 times and they always find a way to cash those checks. My aunt once had a prepay requested on her account and she paid but never got items and they still say she owes the money. The products are fine but it is not worth the aggravation. There are many good reputable companies out there that deserve your business. Definitely not this one. I e-mailed them today after this whole fiasco and asked to be taken off of all correspondence lists and for them to close my account. Buyer beware! Stay away!"

"In this day and age you should be able to get quality customer service, whether through email, a site chat service, or even the age old 800 number practice. At LTD, you get none of these.

If there is a problem with your order it is very hard, because the email response in customer service takes so long to respond, and because they are only available on the phone during normal business hours, when a lot of us are at work, and even then it is a toll number instead of an 800 number.

However, despite sometimes transferring you on the phone to an automated message, the products they do offer and the prices are terriffic. Shipping costs are moderate.

"I placed an order on the website on Dec 4, 2004. It stated I should allow 24-48 hours for my order to be reviewed and then 10-14 days for shipping. I have yet to receive a confirmation that my order will be processed and it is the 10th. They have no toll free number. I spent over a 1/2 hour waiting on the phone on the 8th for a representative to tell me "don't worry your order will go through and be there by christmas. Please give it 24 more hours for it to be processed" It has been 48 hours and still has not been processed. The rep couldn't check to be sure it would go through? She simply said that off the top of her head because she didn't put me on hold or anything to check that status. It also tells you that you can check your status online in 24 hours. It STILL does not show an order and it has been almost a week. I emailed them twice. I want to know if the order will go through and if it will arrive on time for Christmas so I can make adjustments to my christmas spending if it does not. I am not the only one having problems getting confirmation from them. My mom also placed an order on the same day and has yet to receive hers. Overall: NO toll free number with unreal wait time to receive no more information than you had before calling. Email correspondence takes 4 days to receive. Their website is misleading and wrong with time frames they give. Their representatives are not only a waste of time but also not polite! There is no way to cancel your "pending" order so I will probably receive items after christmas that were intended to be gotten before christmas. They do not inform you of your spending limit so you wont know that you went over your limit until they get around to informing you.. which also probably be near or after christmas. VERY DISAPPOINTED in every aspect of this company.. and wow haven't even gotten an order to see how much their products are JUNK. If I do, I'll let ya know.
Well I promised I'd let ya know when/if I recieve my order. I received it today 12/21. I ordered 20+ items, all of which were cancelled for some reason except for 6 of them. I received 5 out of the 6 today. The other one has no tracking number although it says "shipped". The rest did. Not sure what's happening with that one. The items on first look did not seem to be very bad in quality like I started to assume. However, I did not like how they were all packaged in white boxes with no label or description of what was inside. When the recipients receive their christmas gifts they are going to have to open it all the way up and take out the items to learn what they are. It looks pretty generic in that way and I'm sure they'll know they were mail-order items instead of items purchased in a store because of the plain white box. Overall.. I am happier than I was when writing my first review but am still pretty disappointed.
