Wait time horrible

"I have called customer service twice in the past two months (once because I was unable to place an order on-line for some reason and today to try and get the procedure for a return). I am actually on hold as I write this review. Both times I was on hold for an extremely long time - the 1st time over 35 minutes and this time going on 30 min (although the recording stated wait time was 8 min). Why make it so difficult to use this company? I will think twice before I place another order with them just because of their customer service!!!"

Terrible shipping

"My Wife ordered about a dozen items from LTD, on Dec 2. Some have arrived, and now that it's just a few days before Christmas, I've checked the status of the remaining orders. One says it won't ship until Dec 23rd (gift for 6 year old grandchild, thanks LTD) and the other says it won't ship until Dec 31 - another Christmas gift. If I hadn't checked the status we'd have never known they weren't going to be here on time. The last time I checked the status on these two items, it claimed they'd be here by Christmas. Never had this problem with Amazon, maybe LTD should get some lessons. Last time we'll order from them....

UPDATE: now the order that was supposed to ship by the 23rd of Dec says it will ship by the 14th of January - Screw LTD

"My 4 year old recieved a play tent from LTD and while I was readi g the labels before opening I saw “warning: contains lead. May be harmful if eaten or chewed. May generate dust containing lead.”

Christmas gift backordet

"I placed an order for several items for Christmas gifts right after Thanksgiving. I recieved a partial shipment within the expected time frame. 3 weeks go by with no communication regarding my other items. It was never communicated to me that my remaining items were all on back order. I called the company yesterday to be told none of my outstanding order would be shipped until after Christmas. Very annoying and disappointing.
Poor way to treat your customers.

Received an empty box and was charge for an item

"I received an empty box for a mug that I did not order. I got charged 9.33 for it but the box only had an invoice in it with the amount they charged my credit card. They left me on hold for over an hour and a half and would not pick up the phone to discuss it with me."

20 for shipping?

"This scam of a store charges an arm and a leg for shipping you the garbage that you end up getting. Takes forever and dollar store quality. Never again will I return here, I spend a lot of damn money on christmas crap but won't be here. "

Termites in box received

"I received two boxes for my order. The boxes were delivered on the same day. LTD doesn't tape their boxes. They close them and use plastic twine wrapped around the boxes so the boxes are not sealed. I have received boxes previously that were open but I didn't complain because I received everything I ordered. But this time one of my boxes had termite wings on the top flaps and termites in the bottom. I immediately complained and their response was to apologize and compensated me a small amount off of my next purchase of $50. I'm sorry but if a customer contacted me with this issue that would NOT be my answer. Termites!!! I was shocked and will NEVER purchase anything from this company even using the paltry compensation. Ridiculous! Come on, termites, they are not from my house when they are in the bottom of the box in a pile of boxes that was brought in my house soon after delivery!"

holiday cabinet ribbons

"I ordered the ribbon and bow sets, they came a day before scheduled delivery. I put them up this morning and sent pics to my daughters and sister, and they are amazed by how they look. I'm not sure about the other reviewers and what they purchased, but these were priced lower than Amazon, and I could not make them for less myself and I am very crafty. Hopefully they will last a couple of Christmases.
Thank you.
BTW, I did price other items and they are cheaper or equal (if you add the shipping costs) to Amazon, which is where these bow sets would have come from anyway.

The package didn’t arrive for the event...

"So I ordered decorative ships with lights as a centerpiece for my friend’s baby shower at my house. The lights on one of the ships weren’t working. So I called them, they apologised and said they would send a new one before the baby shower, even a day before ... today was the baby shower, the centerpiece didn’t arrive... why do I need it now?"

Horrible Company

"Not only do you have to pay the shipping to yourself but if you don't like the product you have to pay for it to be returned. Will never order anything from them again. I wish I had seen some of the reviews before I purchased anything."

I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

"Everything I order from this company arrives with a problem. I have purchased solar items for my garden which last about a week and never work again. I have never returned anything in the past, I just take the loss and toss it. However I just purchased a chair recliner cover because their picture of it looked amazing but when it arrived it was not the color they stated or showed and it did not fit my chair. (I can't believe I fell for it again) It looked like the manufacturer had machine stitched it in the wrong place, it just was not made right. The prior cover I purchased from another company fit perfectly. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. Customer service was awful and I don't like that they charge more than double what it would cost to ship it back to them on return of an item that I believe is defective."

double charged my account

"ordered 2 days ago, put the amount in pending for the full order, than they decide to ship just part of it, so then they charge me again, spoke to a lady then her supervisor, they said no worries in 3 to 5 days the first pending will drop off, well in the meantime when they put all that money in pending my electric bill didn't go through because I wasn't planning to be double charged, I use a pay as you go debit/credit card. The lady acted like its no big deal. no worries you will get it back, so I say I want the whole order cancelled, well they can't do that, and when I get it I can call them again and then go through that all again, I said no the stuff not even shipped yet cancel now, do not ship it, and when the other box comes I will send it right back without opening it, omg no they can't do that. to bad really wanted the stuff, liked it better when it was abc distributing, bad service. won't ever order there, and if you don't want a headache you wont either"

Excellent attitude to customer feedback

"I bought a very cheap little metal side table- at 19$ I didn't expect much quality. That proved to be indeed the case. The table is functional and looks good, but its quality is here and there not perfect (screws a little loose in the metal). I reflected this in my 4-star review of the product. Guess what. I got immediately an apology email from LTD Commodity and a return of 10$. I find that their attitude is fantastic! I do believe that we as customers need as well to have realistic expectations (what to expect from a 19$- table), so their reaction was even more admirable!"

Dangerous Product!!

"I ordered 2 carpet runners for my house that were labeled for indoor/outdoor use. They arrived so tightly rolled that they wouldn't lay flat. I steamed them, put heavy cans on the ends and let them dry. When I went to check, they had dried, edges still curled and as soon as I put weight on them, they slid all over the place and so did I. My hip and back were twisted quite painfully. When I posted my experience on their website, I was e-mailed by the company saying they wouldn't publish my post because they could lose business. No apology, no offer for a refund just edit all the bad stuff out so we don't lose business. I won't order again nor will any family, co-workers or friends. I told them to keep their catalogs and the junk in them and remove me from their mailing list."
