"I have bought items from the store before with no problem until I purchased online. My address on the account never updated when we tried so we called right after placing the order and the customer service agent said he would take care of it. Needless to say it was delivered to the wrong address and when I went to my old address (a now vacant home) the package was not there. Kmart admitted they were wrong but refused to send me new items without me paying again. Said they needed to find out what UPS did (even though UPS delivered it where they were told) then they would refund me and I would have to order it again. All I wanted was for them to take care of the order and send me the items. So now this will all take about 5-7 days and I SHOULD get the order. What ever happened to good customer service??"

"Kmart layaway online is a disaster. I put an item on layaway online. I checked that the gift was to be shipped to the home.
When I tried to log on to make layaway payments, there were several issues.
1) Can't log onto the payment section. But it doesn't matter, because...
2) The item shows that it will be delivered to a store in a different state other than the recipient lives and...
3) I can't get a refund since I have to print out the email and go to the out of state store in order to get the refund.

If I could submit this without stars, I would.

"I ordered Dirt 3 on my Birthday and 4 days later my order gets canceled with no explanation. Just call this number. So I call and it takes 10 minutes to find out it is out of stock. Even though it said "In Stock" right above the add to cart button when I ordered and it says In Stock today as well.

I asked them to place another order at the sale price I bought it for and they said the price is higher now so we can't do that. They also said it isn't in stock even though the website says it is. Real time inventory is one thing, but this is just false advertising and customer service can do nothing for you so don't bother calling.

"Do NOT buy items online from kmart!!!
Placed an order over one week ago and the status is still UPS waiting for the item from Kmart. Not allowed to cancel the order.
It is highly likely that they use the trick. Create the shipping label quickly so that they have an excuse not to cancel the order.

Not friendly customer representative, hard to contact them via phone.

Checked others' review and similar problems appear again and again. Be careful.

"I ordered a white arbor from Kmart to use at my wedding ceremony. Good thing I ordered it 3 months in advance. I placed the order and everything seemed fine. I signed up for a free month trial of ShipVantange to get free shipping. 15 days later I got an email from kmart saying that if I did not cancel ShipVantange I would be charged however much it is to use the service. It said I could cancel on the website, but if that option even exists it's impossible to find. So I called and had it cancelled. They said they would send confirmation that it had been cancelled, but all I got was a vague email that I expect was that confirmation. A day or two later I started to wonder where my arbor was so I checked the tracking number only to find that the UPS website said it left California 2 weeks before and should have been delivered almost a week earlier. So I called Kmart again, only to be reassured that they had checked with UPS and my purchase was on it's way. A week later- still no arbor. I called again. This time the woman said my purchase had been lost and that they would file a claim with UPS and that UPS should contact me shortly. A week later I still hadn't heard anything, but I did get a survey to fill out about my experience with kmart. So I filled it out saying how annoyed I was at the lack of help they had provided and that my issue had no been resolved. I get an email back a day later saying that they had just filed the claim with UPS and it could take up to 8 days for the package to be declared lost. I responded saying that that should have been done a week ago when I called. A day later I get an email saying they were sorry and would try to improve how they did things in the future. Unfortunately the future does not help my situation now. A few days later I finally got a call from UPS saying that they were just notified that a package was missing, and asking if Kmart had resolved the issue. 5 days after that I get an email from kmart thanking me for my return and giving me back my money. I sent them an email saying I wanted my purchase, not the money. They responded saying I could reorder the item. At this point I was not really about to reorder from kmart. I couldn't afford to waste another 6 weeks waiting for an order I would never recieve. And if I had, I would have had to pay $15 for shipping since you can't do the free trial twice. Before officially deciding however, I went back on the website. And guess what. The arbor is no longer even in stock.
I understand that purchases get lost from time to time going through UPS. But kmart made no effort to fix this and wasted 6 weeks of time that I could have used to order the same thing from a more reliable source.
On the plus side, at least I got my money back.

"Kmart is a poop! My family went there to buy my daughter a helmet fro bike-riding in the Florida Keys. So we bought the helmet for $24.99. (My daughters size is 5+) We actually never used the helmet so we went back to return it. Turns out, my husband forgot the reciept and we had a flight to St. Louis, Mo in an hour. So we went to Kmart to return it. There was a line but a lady let us go in front. Courtesy! The employee was just texting on her phone while waited until she finished. As soon as she saw I didn't have a phone she me to leave! WTF!! Now my daughter has to carry the helmet with her to the plane and worry about one more high-priced not needed item. :("

"I have a local Kmart store in my town and occasionally shop there. Never had a problem. Recently needed some certain tools and Kmart's online store had a stock of them at decent prices so I ordered them. They arrived yesterday. So, shipping only took a couple of days and they were exactly what I ordered and were well packaged. My experience at the online store was okay. The search engine was adequate enough to let me find what I was looking for and the checkout procedure was not complicated. Overall experience was good."

"Think twice before ordering on-line from them! BUYER BEWARE!
I ordered 4 curtain panels in October 2010 from them. A week later I rec'd a UPS package from them containing ONE...not four panels. Furthermore the panel was NOTHING like the picture on the internet...wrong color, different style.
I now have been charged for 4 curtain panels...and only have one.
I contact them and get the run around. I discover they have the WRONG curtain pictured on their website for the item #.
They finally admit this....but yet have NOT changed the internet listing two months later.
They claim they will send UPS to pick up the wrong panel and credit my account. Two more weeks passes and I still don't have the UPS pickup. I contact them again. I finally get a UPS pick up tag. They credit my account finally for the 3 panels I never rec'd. I wait another 2 weeks (mid December now) and they have NOT yet credited the last 30.00 for the panel I sent back to them. I begin contacting them. They claim they do not have it back yet. I dig out my UPS tracking tag and give them the information that shows a guy named LEE signed for it at their warehouse on NOVEMBER 29th, 2010.
...then they MAGICALLY find and verify they do have it. They tell me to wait 5-7 days for the refund to appear in my account. I wait...and wait. I contact them again. They claim they sent my refund through on December 30, 2010 and to wait 3-5 days for it to appear in my account. I wait...and wait...and contact them again. They tell me the credit was processed on January 12th, 2011....and to wait 5-7 days for the credit to be "VISIBLE" in my account. Now I am ticked! VISIBLE? What the heck does that mean? I contact them again a week later...still no money. Now they tell me they credited my account on December 30th and that my bank account has the money and I should check with my bank. I have done that...there is NO MONEY from them in my account. I contact them AGAIN ....they tell me they will investigate it - and that I should wait 7-10 days for them to resolve the issue and get back to me.

I have a stack of emails a foot deep from them...one lie and one contradiction after another. It is almost comical. So BUYER BEWARE...they can debit your card in seconds....but for some reason they refuse to credit it back. You will get the run around and you will never speak to the same person twice...and they are not remotely interested in helping you.

Shame on them!

"i placed an order for the xbox 360 kinect bundle on Dec. 23. As of Dec. 28, it has not shipped and is STUCK in processing. After calling them for 3 days in a row, I was told this is level 10 priority and they are doing everything they could to get my order UNSTUCK from processing and moved to shipping. WTF!!! Go get my order and put it on the truck for delivery! I was supposed to receive my order on Dec. 28. That won't happen since it is the day before and it will not ship!!! I called one day and was told it had shipped from one warehouse to the other so I could not cancel the order. I called the next day and was told it had not shipped from anywhere and that is when I found out it is stuck in processing. They blatantly lied to me! UGH! I will never order from them again!"

"WORST SITE EVER!!!
I ordered a kareoke machine listed for $49 and through taxes and shipping it costed me $61.98. I needed it for Christmas as a gift. It was shown as "In Stock" the day before Christmas, it arrived with the receipt on the top with the total price..and when i opened the box to find a barbie and legos.. WTF?
When i called Kmart reps they said to take to a local kmart to have it shipped back, but when i went they wouldnt return bc i didnt have the receipt for the legos and barbie. THE RECEIPT SHOWS THE KAREOKE MACHINE (My order) but i didnt receive the kareoke machine!

"I ordered Mass Effect 2 from Kmart.com on Black Friday. As of the following Monday, it had not shipped. Not a huge problem, but when Amazon put it on lightning sale for the same price, plus free shipping, I jumped on that and figured I would cancel the Kmart order.

Hah, little did I know what would be involved.

First, you can't just log in and cancel your order like you could with Amazon or any other reputable vendor. So I called them up. After 5 - 10 minutes of verifying my order # and identity, they could not cancel the order due to a technical difficulty, but I should call back in an hour. I was annoyed but called back. When I did, the system was incredibly slow, and after about half an hour on the phone, they told me they could not cancel the order because it was not being sold directly by them, but by a third party. They said I could refuse delivery (not likely, UPS is just going to drop it on my porch when I'm not home) or return it to the store (wasting my time even further, not to mention my gas).

This morning I decided to chat with customer service about this. It took about 1 hour, and at the end, I'm not sure my order is canceled. They had to "elevate" the issue and said the vendor would contact me via e-mail or phone in a day or two. I saved the entire chat log, but the whole thing was a giant farse. It's too bad I can only put 5000 characters here, else I'd share the whole thing with you.

"I feel like the shipping department is trying to say, "There, that'll teach 'em to ever order from here again and make me work" when they are preparing my shipment. It's that bad. Leave an hour to clean up the foam peanuts after you open your box, and have 7 garbage bags handy. Unless you are shopping for foam peanuts, then just go ahead and buy anything in the store and you'll get a gross for free."

"Went to Kmart on 23rd on October. Put 1 product on layaway with $27.00. Found product cheaper at another store. Went to Kmart on 11/01/10 to cancel layaway and they charged me $25.00 to cancel.
Wont be shopping there ever again!!!!

"It's one of my worthless on-line shopping experiences!
After I placed the order (21 items), I was notified that order was canceled because they are out of 2 items... But my order was stay place on website! They took it out one week later, just after I call them!
I replaced the order yesterday(19 items). And now when I placed my second order I lost my $5 coupon for subscribing to "Sears & Co" website...
My husband call them today... You would expect they give me my money back?... No way!! And You know what more? They say - that checking of availability will take..... UP TO 13 DAYS!!!!!
THIS IS INSANE!!!!!!
Would You expect all this from company what is so respectful? Not me. It was first and last time when I order something from them.
