Terrible support for products

"Bought a dx8g2 NONE OF THE OLD FILES work, THEY Do no care

verizon is about making money they bring a new product out sell it out then dont support.

they have turned a once great Hobby company into a MONEY grubbing revenue generator they DIRECTLY compete with the local stores they used to support. they DO not care about anything but $$$$, so do not expect anything from them

Cancelled my order offered me another option that was 40.00 more and I was notified 4 days AFTER purchase

"I recently ordered a plane from Horizon Hobby for $199.00. 4 days after my order I receive an email and phone call stating that the plane was over sold and was no longer available.

I was given the option to purchase the same plane but with a receiver included "I don't use spectrum electronics" and that the price would be 39.00 more. I also learned that the plane was being discontinued. The rep told me there were 150 in stock of the BNF "bind and fly" meaning they include the receiver. The one I ordered was a PNP "plug and play" meaning you supply your own receiver.

What makes me sick is that they were not willing to give me the plane I ordered even if it meant selling me the BNF for the same price. That 39.00 translates into about a 5.00 item for Horizon Hobby or less. Markup in hobby products is ridiculous. 400-800%.

So they would rather let existing inventory of a discontinued plane sit instead of giving me what I ordered. I canceled the order and will not buy from them again. Terrible customer service. and Greed at it's finest.

Just an amazing company

"Had a problem with a Yellow Champ and called Hobby Zone and was given the bums rush....no help at all....I bought a Champ from them

Then I called Horizon Hobby and I think talked to Dave who told me the charger I asked about at Hobby Zone should have come with my plane.....he said he would send me one at no charge
What a dry nice act of kindness ..... NICE PEOPLE AT HORIZON HOBBY

From this point on I will only do business with Hirizon

Excellent service!

"I had my truck for a little over 6 months and a gear stripped out in my steering servo I was a little disappointed until I called the customer service help line and told them what had happened and they didn't fight me or anything they instantly sent me a new one!! They have customer service and honors their customers Thanks Bill G from Horizon Hobby."

Great Customer Service and Support

"Horizon Hobby customer support has always been there when I needed help with something that was broken in the box or didn't function correctly. I have a replacement for one of my most recent orders that had an issue right now. I have over 70 planes, helis, and drones from HH (And I have even more from other companies) and I've only had to use their support 3 times. Once for a bad board on a Blade MCPx BL, once for a wing strut that came off a UMX P3 Pevolution, and now for prop adapter that was damaged on a Convergence VTOL. So for over 7 years and with 3 good customer service experiences, I keep using HorizonHobby."

Probably the worst customer support experience I've ever had

"I ordered two batteries in April of 2017, and although they promptly arrived, they were the wrong model. I contacted them using the email address provided, but received no reply, despite several emails and attempts to call their customer service line (which kept me on hold indefinitely). I finally got hold of them in June—2 months later—and they agreed to get the wrong batteries collected via DPD. They were picked up the next day, however despite the items being signed for on the 20th of June, I have still not received a refund, almost 3 MONTHS LATER. No replies to my emails. Never picking up on their customer service line. I'm now £300 out of pocket with no resolution in sight.

Avoid using these scam artists at all costs.

Great Customer Service

"I've read the reviews here and was a little surprised. I bought an old stock new-in-the-box Miss Geico. After opening it there was a piece of the stand missing. I sent them an email asking for just the missing part and a week or so later received an entire new stand. I didn't actually expect them to send it. I thought for sure, that they would at least tell me how much it would cost or expect me to pay shipping. Nothing, it just showed up with a sales order marked zero.

I was honest in my email that I bought a discontinued old stock item. They didn't have to send it.....but they did!

"Do not buy their products unless you want their customer service team to hang up on you as they dont speak a word of English which clearly means when your product is faulty be prepared to bin it."

Non-response from this very poor company!!!

"I ordered the latest vtol plane and 3 batteries from h.h on 30th june-2017 for a total of £219 and was promised delivery to the UK within 15 days.
I have also emailed them on at least 4 occasions to find out tracking details and expected delivery date.
They have not responded at all and I am now beginning to worry about non-delivery.
It seems that their non-response is par for the course-after reading other customers complaints on this forum.

It seems that living in the UK is a good excuse for h.h. Not to care about customers complaints and I am appalled!!
If I do not receive my plane in the next week then I will take action against them-through paypal and ask for an immediate refund!!
Not a very pleasant experience from a supposedly big player in r/c.

Blade Torrent 110

"I bought 2 blade torrent 110's and both were defective out of the box. One the motors just stuttered and reset the esc's, never flew. The second one went up in smoke just after being plugged in. Esc beeped and then let the smoke out, I cut the negative wire to try and save my battery. Service department said they will not replace due to power wire being cut and that I caused the issue. The last thing Mr. Weddell said was I don't care. I asked to speak to a supervisor and it has been 11 days since with no contact or my products back. I'm done with the new lesser efficient horizon hobby. I have been a customer over 15 years and only pay their high prices because of the support, never again."

Terrible customer service

"I placed at order friday afternoon to have a helicopter shipped using one day shipping. I received an order confirmation but no shipping status. I couldnt call until monday(today) expected it by today. When i called i waited over an hour and a half for them to tell me they cannot find my order and would call me back. Its been 4 hours and no one has called me back. They could not cancel or refund my money so I cannot buy my son another present for his birthday. I'm very disappointed in the customer service and the way I've been treated and that they were too incompetent to complete a single simple order. "

Exceptional Customer Service!!

"My Spektrum DX6i stopped transmitting after about a year and a half. Though it was out of the one year warranty, it did not have many hours of usage (not typical for this product!). I fully expected them to stand on the warranty terms and not cover the repair. Instead they covered the repair under warranty. The return was automated and easy and communication from them was awesome. The customer service experience is a refreshing change to other who may adopt the short term vision saving money by not standing behind their product is good for the bottom line. This exceptional level of customer service has earned my respect and customer loyalty."
