Worst customer service on the market

"Package was postponed a week, their solution was to cancel. I am now without a refund, have to wait even longer, and when trying to get this figured out through their phone support they have hung up on me two times now as I waited for a supervisor. So long story short I will never purchase anything from the Google store again because if anything happens you will go through the absolute worst and most condescending support on the market. "

"customer service is not existent for google store and any of their products especially mobile! Avoid buying anything! My 3 months old Pixel 3a just die! 4 days ago. I try contacting tech support and I took it for repair and they verify is dead. I had to call 3-4 times me and my wife to get finally someone to agree for a replacement that will come in 3-5 business days (I will be without a phone for 10 days if I get it as promise!). Even I told them that I have to have my phone overnight because I'M traveling next week. She said is nothing she can do. Every time I was on the phone it was for more than 30 minutes at the very least. If I knew that allot a people had this experience from Google I will never bought the phone and I WILL NOT EVER BUY from them again. Unless they become like Amazon customer service (returns and replacements with a click of a button!!) If you have good products but NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT you have nothing!"

Customer service isn't part of Google's culture - wish it was

"In general, i have had great experience with several Google products and I've been a Google app user and Android user since my very first smart phone, I love those products. But I've now had two instances where Google's consumer support has left me scratching my head in ways I would have never dreamed.

First, as many others have said, I've had some pretty crappy purchasing experiences with Google, and I really hate that the day after you buy a device, it may go on sale and Google won't honor that price. But even more terrible is a recent product support and warranty issue I had.

For three, almost four weeks, I tried to work with Google to get my Pixel3 repaired or replaced, under warranty. To be fair, when I first contacted Google about physical issues with this device, it was one week out of warranty. in fact, only 6 days. The issue is, that I was having USBC port issues with this device, issues with Google pixel buds, issues with the original and after market chargers and cables, etc. But technically, the issues started about two months before the warranty expired, and I even provided Google receipts to show when I was buying replacement parts to try and troubleshoot the issues. My first attempt was s **** show, they didn't even try to help, they kept pointing me to my extended warranty company, which for anyone that has used them, you know no matter what you have a $100 deductible for help. That's ridiculous, a phone I paid $900 for won't last 1 year and then I have to pay another $100 to get it fixed. DUMB. I tried three different times to tell them that was not good customer service, they didn't care.

So then I asked to escalate and get an exception. Instead of it working like any other company out there, you don't get to talk to a manager that can help make the decision to support a customer or not. The request goes into some deep, dark, black hole where it's reviewed by some committee that never helps, one of the guys i talked to say he's seen phones hours out of warranty get denied. And in my case,t hey denied it. But with no explanation. So I called back, started all over three more times, finally got a guy that wanted to help, but again it went into the abyss, only to actually never hear back.

This is crap, I can guarantee you that if I had an iPhone, and I walked into an Apple store, I would get better service, they may not honor the warranty, but at least I have people that will communicate with me. This terrible service from companies like google these days that hide behind technology, to hide from customer interaction, is crap. I've lost a lot of respect for Google, and I will think long and hard about buying another device from them. ****, I really love this phone.

They don't want me to buy a phone

"I wanted to buy a pixel 3a phone during Black Friday. Well, it looks like they don't want me to buy their phone. I have tried with different gmail addresses, with different cards, etc... And none of them got through. I have contacted their support team and they are clueless. It is being investigated they say. They should call Sherlock Holmes as it has been 5 days already!! Anyway, now I lost the Black Friday deal and am stuck with no phone as my old one stopped working.

What a bad experience!!

Worst Service Ever

"I bought the first Google Pixel 2 in Dec 2017, the phone stopped working in Sep 2018
my service provider gave me another google pixel 2, that also stopped working in Dec 2019
after more than 2 weeks and didn't get a replacement device.
Worst customer service ever, worst follow up, no replies to emails, zero quality on their products

Google store acts like a scam company

"I bought a pixel 3 last year and stopped working. It is covered under warranty and google agreed over the phone. They asked me to wait for an email confirmation from higher tier and almost 15 days past they haven't replied so far. I have contacted them multiple times and they just say wait. In the last week also they have literally ignored responding to my email. I am just thinking a scammer would take your money and do the same thing. Question is why google should act like a scammers.

I have given up on my $1000+ phone as it doesn't look they want to honor the warranty at all. Contacting them by the phone is also a pain. They have no complaint department and you can't find how to contact office of the president.

Google Store doesn't allow you to write a review!

"Received defective Chromecast Ultra 3rd generation, close captioning reboot glitch. Tried to explain the problem to them and they blamed Netflix HBO YouTube TV Amazon Prime and many more. They claimed it was not a Chromecast error, which makes no sense. Their support team had no idea how to locate the serial number, nor did they know how many characters the serial number was, even though I knew the information. They transferred me to the nest department when I told them about this Chromecast issue. The supervisor was just as clueless as the original employee I spoke with. I tried to explain that this issue is with all ultra Chromecasts so it makes no sense for me to send mine back. "

"Ordered on 10/24. have not received it on 11/10 while I am supposed to receive it by 10/29. Called FedEx twice. Break up big tech! They are **** too big to give a damn about customers."

worst return service and customer service

"I got refund 5 months later after the product was unsuccessfully shipped to me. A bunch of irresponsible people people work there. Google still charged me re-store fee instead of paying me the interest. And Google even blocked my purchase right for their mistake. Luckily, I don't need google product to survive. After the product was shipped back for my latest purchase, Google Fi keeps asking me to activate my account. Hope they don't charge me for nothing."

Honestly - they're the pits

"Honestly, expected so much more from this company. Bought a Pixel 3, broken sim slot, still under warranty. It's been two weeks and no contact on the replacement. I call and chase them everyday. Talk to someone different - yes, I'll personally take charge of the case and get back to you - rubbish! No one calls, no updates. They literally do not care."

Just Awful

"I ordered the google home mini and didnt get the chance to change my address. So when I contacted customer support same day to have that updated I was told that there was something wrong try again later. When I tried the next day, I was told it was too late to change the address so nothing we could do. I then contacted someone else who tried to help me the best she could, however because the person before her had waited till fedex had my package there wasnt much she could do either. When contacting fedex to have them put a hold on the package to try and change my address through them, they said google shipped the item smartpost so no one could do anything from there end. That put the last girl I spoke with at google to send me to a supervisor who then didnt contact me for 5 days. Apparently this is except-able to google standards. I have also since reached out to have my address changed on my account since it wouldnt let me change it on my own and I havent head a word since, that was 6 days ago. So after finally receiving an email from a supervisor at google support only to be told no sorry try contacted fedex after the item was already delivered to the wrong address 4 days ago. You can imagine how angry and frustrated I am. You can bet I will never purchase an item from google store ever again. I have had enough of overseas bots telling me they cant do there job. "

Google Play and support

"I bought a gift card and called support line provided the reciept. and representative stated someone will get back to me . four days later i follow up with phone call stating my case ID. Spoke to the representative after answering a million questions confirming who I am only to be told they are not responsible for lost gift card. when I ask to talk to Manager supervisor by name of Will comes on and tells me to return it to Store. When I told Will that if he looks closely to the receipt it states clearly that CVS does not refund google gift cards. I am now out of luck good thing it is not a lot. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE !!!!! BEWARE WHEN YOU HAVE THIS GO WRONG THEIR SUPPORT IS REAL BAD. NO ACCOUNTABILITY AT ALL . If Google Play store believe in customer service they will do the right thing. "

Awful, Awful, Awful

"I have always been a Samsung user but I decided to give pixel phone a chance as I read it took great photos. That us true but the phone is really bad!! After 25 days of purchase the speakers went bad, I couldn't hear anything, no phone calls, no GPS, no YouTube absolutely nothing. I called Google support who said it was maybe because of an app, but the apps where the same as I had in my Samsung phone. Then instead of helping me with the issue they said I had to send the phone back for repair leaving me disconnected with no phone! What kind of customer service is this? I am so outraged! After 4 days of no phone I received then an email saying they were shipping me a refurbished phone. If I wanted a refurbished phone I would have bought it somewhere else much cheaper. What world are we living on these days, big bully companies take our hard working money and sell us defective products and we can do nothing about it. I am truly sick about this I thought Google will stand for all the users of their products. Will make sure not to recommend none of Google devices or Google customer service. I have been cheated! People do not buy Google phones, it is not worth to pay for a new product, if you have a problem they send a refurbished one, save your money and buy some other brand or go and buy a refurbished one from the get go."

Do not buy from Google Store!

"Terrible overseas customer Service, they have limited knowledge of English language, only read off their guideline and won't understand your request.
Orders will have delays and you can't do anything. Even if you had paid for over night, don't expect to receive items anytime soon and nothing you can do about it.
Not buying again!
