The worst policy every

"I know this posting is about python, but I want to write about one of the worst google policies. I bought Pixel 4 from a seller on ebay, the phone had a battery issue, it lose charge after 2 hours. I contacted google as the phone is new and still have warranty. They asked for order ID number, I contacted the seller who happened to buy it from someone else and he does not have the order ID number. The phone is not with bad IMEI or reported stolen. They reused to transfer the fix it or change it, I ended returning the phone to the seller. I bought another one from another buyer, but this time I made sure to have the order ID number. Now I called google to transfer the new phone ownership and after giving them the order ID, they asked for the seller from ebay email address (which I don't have and ebay does not allow email exchange). After more than an hour with customer service on the phone they transfer the ownership to me, of course a very frustrating experience. We bought iPhones, Huawei, Samsung phones from ebay and no one ever asked for such stupid thing like this. They all provide the service as long as the phone is not reported stolen or bad IMEI. I will not activate this phone and will return it to the seller because I don't want to have google pixel phone."

Google refused to issue refund after chasing this case for months!

"The worst online shopping experience. I called multiple times for a refund for weeks and still no refund. The agent assigned to my case Kristiiane doesn’t respond to my inquiries, nor does he reach out to give me any updates after days. I called of course and the other agent says she will make sure Kristtiane relies to me today, but NOPE - still no response after 24 hours!
Then I called again to Request having my case reassigned to someone else, Google customer service says NO!
Now my hundreds of dollars just went to the drain!
Will never order from Google ever again! Shame on you, Google team.

Finally, Here is the response from Google after two weeks.
“ Thanks for contacting us about your returned package.

We’ve carefully reviewed your case and our records confirm that your package which was returned to us have discrepancies with its weight and serial number.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to refund your order as Google has fulfilled our services by sending you with the correct device and case which you have ordered.

As a next step, you may consider initiating an investigation with the carrier or notify local law enforcement. Or you may also file a claim with your bank.

We’ll be happy to assist in an investigation.”

My jaw just dropped after seeing this! How can Kristtiane at Google say Google fulfilled its service when they failed to issue refunds???

SHOCKINGLY HORRIFIC

"I tried to order a nest thermostat from the Google store. I have five in other properties, but have not purchased directly from Google and now NEVER will. Their website is counter-intuitive and clearly not secure. The purchase flagged as fraud! Google claims they don’t charge you until item ships, LIE! I received an email asking me to update my order payment details, when I hit every link in the email it bounced error codes! Google, a tech company can’t send out functioning emails?! I tried navigating their idiotic website to contact customer service and got their online run around to pointless articles! I had to google search google store to get a phone number, FREAKING RIDICULOUS! My stomach dropped when it was made very clear I was balling the Philippines. After repeating my email address a dozen times, two disconnects and a 35 MINUTE HOLD, no solution! FOUR PHONE CALLS OVER TWO DAYS AND A TOTAL OF THREE HOURS TO ATTEMPT A CORRECTION!!?? I canceled and will never buy from this bot infested, wannabe automated sweatshop that SELLS TECH through LOW TECH SWEAT SHOPS!!! GOOGLE STORE **** ON AN UNIMAGINABLE LEVEL! "

Terrible. These people don't know how to process a payment and then create weeks of delays.

"Terrible. Bought a Pixel 3a and AFTER paying for it I removed my credit card from google store because I don't like my card hanging around after already paying. That caused them to choke for 2 weeks while they tried to figure out what's going on. Then I received an email stating they were going to cancel my order in 7 days unless I registered a credit card. So I re-registered my card and I'm waiting for them to ship it before I remove my card from the store again. And waiting and waiting..."

WORST SERVICE EVER

"Ordered a phone online and waited three more days beyond the delivery date only to find that it had not been shipped yet. Upon contacting customer care they said they were on it. After that they did not even communicate with me about the product for a week. Called again and some rep I talked with said that she had opened a case and investigation was going on. The call was abruptly cut off and I tried repeatedly to get back with no result. Called again after a week and waited for 45 minutes to be responded by someone who again gave me fake assurances. And each time I called I had to elaborate my scenario every time! I lost so much time trying to keep faith in them! After more than a month of placing the order, I called again and someone again talked sweet words without giving any updates! I did not have any info whether I should wait more or what issue is keeping it from being delivered! I gave up and they promptly refunded as if they were just waiting for me to say it! SUPER ****!!!"

Never buy from the Google Store

"Ordered a pixel 4 XL from Google store on December 19th 2019 I have yet to receive it on January 7th 2020. On January 3rd 2020 the Google Store was contacted about not receiving the item I paid for and they assured me they would work on the problem and resolve it quickly. as of December 7th I have not yet heard a word from the Google about this they did supply tracking numbers with the original shipment through FedEx ground but all it shows is that it was shipped but never delivered this is very unacceptable no matter whose fault it is I need a phone I paid for a phone and I am not satisfied to the point that I would never ever ever ever purchase anything else from the Google store. what I fear at this time is that I will never receive the item I paid for and I will never get a refund. I should not feel this way when purchasing something from any company much less the king of the internet Google. Now I even question purchasing a pixel since it is tied so heavily to Google as is so many other things in the internet. Again I shouldn't feel like this but this is not my fault. Google has lost me as a customer and I will do my best to just avoid any product whether it be hardware or software that has anything to do with them if a company can't run a retail store that sells phones no better than this I fear they cannot run much of anything else. In my opinion you're going to hear about this soon in the news looking at all the other reviews from the Google Store how they failed so many people they cannot continue to do this and just get away with it. And here I am with a broken phone needing a phone now wanting a Samsung or maybe even travel to the dark side and get an iPhone but I cannot do anything since Google has my money $1,100 to be exact. You've been warned."

I would give zero stars if I could. I've never had any luck with the hours of time spent talking to various customer service reps.

"I bought the Pixel 4 and the device protection only to find out that the device protection was never billed. They tried 6 times to take out the payment and each time canceled it even though there was no reason to do so. No one seems to be able to fix this simple error. They suggested I return the phone and get a refund and then buy it again with the protection. WTF."

Unacceptable customer service

"Bought pixel 3a Nov 25, went on sale Nov 28. Purchased the one on sale. First one arrives and before returning the first one I open up a claim and asked for the price adjustment so that they don't have to process a return and ship out another. It's been 4 phone calls, multiple online requests and 27 days later now. They won't give be a simple yes or no answer. I processed the return late so we'll see if I can even get my money back for the first one. Yet they have not charged me for the 2nd phone. Not sure if it will even get shipped at this point. They keep giving me the run a round that they will respond in 24-48 hrs but it seems like they are ignoring me at this point. I love Google products but this customer service has been the worst experience"

Google knowingly sells substandard phones.

"So, I bought a Pixel 3 from Google Fi 4 months ago. The first one broke after 1 month because of a defect(the charger wouldn't stay), so they sent me a replacement. After 2 months, the same thing happened to the replacement. They then sent me a refurbished replacement. I tried to argue that since they don't replace the batteries on refurbished phones, it is not equal to what I payed for, since the battery is probably half-dead. They went into their big spiel about the "rigorous" process the refurbished phones go through, and they are just as good as brand new, and that I as a consumer have no choice anyway.
So they sent me this refurbished phone. After a few weeks, I start to see major issues. When you try to use the camera, the phone continually tries to boot up until you boot it in safe mode. There are other issues, but they are not worth going into here.
Anyways, after dealing with so many useless Google reps, one of them promises me a refund. To quote her, "the best I can do for you that we can provide you the complete refund for the device." She just told me that I have to wait until the old phone that I sent to them gets processed, until I can get the refund processed.
Well, now they are saying that they don't give refunds until 3 replacements break. This is the worst customer service experience I've ever experienced. If you are thinking about buying a pixel, DON'T!

Worst Customer Service Ever....

"I bought a Pixel 4 from google and traded in my old phone. They ended up not giving me the promised trade in value. Ripped me off $150 and gave me nothing but a cryptic excuse. No option to get my old phone back. No option to even call anyone and ask why. Customer Service was a big zero. They would tell me they would get back to me in 24-72 hours. This happened over and over. I gave up after 3 weeks of trying to get a reason. I could have sold my old phone for way more but went for the convenience.

Do not ever buy a google product. They do not stand behind anything. I used to be loyal but not anymore. I have bought many google products and this is my last one. Never again.

"I ordered a phone and did not receive it and I called them continuously for 30 days but still of no use. Worst customer service ever and don't go for it. If you really want to order a phone or any google product order it from Amazon or best buy. They would be more reliable and trustworthy than google."

Product Shipping

"I ordered a Google Nest hub from the online store. It went through Fedex unfortunately. On Dec 7th and 8th Fedex sent me a notification that the product was on a truck to be delivered, but had to cancel because of the snow. 6 days later I called Fedex who informed me that I needed to contact Google as it appeared to be untraceable at Fedex! So I spoke to Google 3 times, incidentally I call the same number but always get to a different, wrong dept. Every call I get a guarantee that it will get resolved an d I will get my purchase, before Christmas. I also get a guarantee of email updates. Neither has been met by Google, this is absolutely the worst Customer Support I have ever come across, and I used to design these systems! In parallel I have ordered multiple Amazon products and not one, of the 10 products ordered at the same time, has failed to arrive. I am with Elizabeth Warren - break up Google, they are rubbish."

Stay away from Google Store!

"Google store has been my worst shopping experience (consistently!). I am beyond speechless as to how a highly profitable company like Google sends its most expensive and premium products using the least expensive ground shipping that is so unreliable. FedEx ground wouldn't deliver my Home max package on time and Google had me waiting literally for 4 hours on it! Even after that, I was told to wait for a week or two more for it. Stay away from Google Store!"
