"This merchant was a nightmare and made my life miserable. Folks beware. They charged my CC without my approval and then when I asked them to credit my account they said they don't offer refunds only store credit. My bank is currently investigating them. BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!. DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"High Risk strategy purchasing from this company. You may get lucky; however, a combination of misleading advertising and very poor customer service may lead to you regretting purchasing from this company.
I recently purchased a ‘new’ Palm Power To Go battery pack for a relatively low price but with high shipping costs thus saving a few overall bucks on purchasing from elsewhere. The company promises a replacement guarantee should you return the item promptly if unsatisfied.

The item arrived after a longer than expected wait, opened and clearly not ‘new’. On first use it was obvious that the back up battery did not function but actually drained the battery of my own PDA. Within 24 hours the item was returned after following their very specific returns policy instructions (beware if you do not follow exactly their returns policy). They will not refund your postage costs for returning their faulty item. I asked for a replacement and the associated tracking number (the site promises a replacement item being sent the next business day).

Unfortunately there then followed a lengthy stalling process with no replacement and eventually an electronic gift certificate which was for the original lower purchase price not including the original expensive shipping fees – so if you wanted to buy the same item again with your gift certificate you would have to pay expensive shipping costs again. Nowhere will you find a telephone number to speak to a Customer Service Agent, so each day you send an email you will not get a response until the next.

I insisted they send a replacement as per their web site promise and I even had to quote their own web site rules as they tried to insist that company policy was a gift certificate. Further stalling tactics ensued like suggesting I had not returned the item in a timely fashion before the threat of legal action through my credit card company finally got them to promise a replacement. Further delays and refusal to send the item and provide a tracking number (I had several emails stating that they had shipped the item but they could not give me a tracking number – they had not yet shipped!)

Eventually a replacement arrived and fortunately they had not re-sent me the original faulty item (which is what I expected)!

The company is a disgrace and their customer service is exceptionally bad. I would not be at all surprised that they write their own company reviews to increase their ratings from the ‘lowest of the low’.

"I order 6 items, 1 would not fit, 1 was NOT the correct product. I returned BOTH items the next day. It took 31 days for them to acknowledge that they received it - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. (They do not issue RMA numbers) Gave me
store credit, but it cost me an additional $12.00 in shipping to use my store credit. I am now out the return shipping AND an additional $4.+ to get what I originally ordered. I didn't _save_ anything by shopping for the lowest price. STAY AWAY!

"I placed an order for a 3200mAh Li-ion battery for Axim X5 SKU 7987SL on February 19, 2007. On March 14 my credit card was charged for the battery. Today is May 9 and I have not received anything. Their Web Customer support is very weak. They don't offer telephone support. They say that the battery was shipped on April 14 but could not supply tracking number or proof of delivery. I will ask my credit card bank for a charge back and place a complaint in the Better Bussines Bureau."

"I placed an order with this company to get a Palm Pilot Tungsten E2. They sent me one that didn't work. When I called Palm directly for support they told me that the Palm I had bought was rebuilt. That is not at all what they advertised on their website. The website said that the Palm I would be buying had been used as demonstration for 2 weeks but it was new. I had to return it because it showed a fatal error when I tried to hot synch. I sent it back and they re-sent me another which I got yesterday. Today I went to hot synch it with all my information and I got the same fatal error when trying to hot synch. I have 7 days to return it and I haven't been able to get anybody to get back to me on this. This company is a totally rip off and I would recommend against buying anything from their website. I have already spent $30 dollars in shipping fees. "

"Gizmos2Go charged me $40 for 3 day select UPS shipping which I paid only because there were several items needed fast for a birthday . It was not until I decided to check back with them a week later having gotten nothing, that I was sent an email saying "my order was out of stock." No specifics..on an order including about ten items..just a preformatted type response. Have spent the last month submitting problem tickets that either are ignored or cause another preformatted email response, NONE of which has ever actually dealt with my issues. Finally received part of the order, shipped ten days after the "shipping information sent to UPS" date, arrived march 20, without most of the birthday items..What I got was COPIED software described at their site as OEM, but clearly reproduced on generic discs... Several items, in fact almost all, differed greatly and substantially from what was described and pictured on their site.and so were unuseable.(different models of PDA protectors shaped totally differently etc) Still over 5 weeks later, have yet to receive one phone call (they asked twice for my number) nor any explanations for the discrepancies. Still have not received the most expensive of the items at all! AVOID THIS COMPANY! It's a nightmare..Customer service is like being lost in a maze filled with quicksand..."

"This is a bogus deal, they say it is a demo that was used just two weeks! If that's true why don't they have all of the Apple accessories with it? It looked like it had been used for two years not two weeks. There was no firewire cable, no dock, and a bogus after market charger. A total Rip don't shop with these guys, they don't know what they're doing."

"I ordered a high-capacity battery for my Treo from Gizmos2Go. I was amazed at the low price compared to others – even considering their very high shipping cost (i.e., price recovery and guaranteed profit scheme). Little did I know what I was getting into.

I received the order – a standard battery! So, I sent it back. Just in case, I paid for delivery confirmation. Sure enough, they claimed that they didn’t receive the returned battery. When I told them the confirmation date on which it had been delivered, they said they “found it” and would send out the replacement battery (or, better put, the high-capacity battery as originally ordered). After a long delay, I finally received the “high capacity” battery - some off-brand battery, labeled high capacity, that didn’t last as long as my standard Treo battery.

I returned the battery for credit, which, of course, didn’t include a return on the ultra-high shipping cost (remember the guaranteed profit scheme?). At this point, the real problems had just begun. I watched for the credit on my credit card statement and finally emailed Gizmos2Go as to the delay in receiving the credit. They promised that it would be taken care of very soon. Well, this all started in early November and it took until the end of January to get the credit.

Simply, I would highly recommend that you stay away from this vendor, regardless of the “apparent” deal.

"Buyers beware: I am a physician who purchased 2 PDAs from this fradulant company. When they arrived, neither worked. The company provided no contact information so I emailed them multiple times without response. When I blocked the charges on my credit card they finally asked for a merchandise return. Now, 7 months later they have not refunded my money or given me functioning replacements. I am planning to report them to the Attorney General, but hoped to save a few other customers my experience since there are multiple reviews of people with the same experience, and they now offer customers discounts if they post positive reviews on web sites like these."

"Shipping cost $12. The item turned out to be defective, so I sent an email to “customer service” about it. I got an e-mail from the RMA department with instructions for returning the item for replacement, but no prepaid postage code or label was provided. I could not believe they expected me to pay the shipping for an item that was defective right out of the box, but once there was a problem suddenly nobody responds when I try to contact them. So I paid $14 dollars more to return this defective item within the 7-day time limit. Instead of shipping me a new one, as requested, they just credited my account for the cost of the display I ordered.

I reluctantly chose to reorder because this item is not available locally, so I paid $12 more dollars shipping to order the exact same item! I received that item on 26FEB07. It was more defective than the first one they sent me! On 27FEB07 I wrote a very descriptive complaint letter addressing my total dissatisfaction with all the shipping I was paying, the quality control of their products, and how long my PDA has been out of service due to their total incompetence! The response I got was, "We will fax you a shipping label soon." That was it! I contacted them on 28FEB07 to let them know I had not received the label they promised, and the response was that I needed to wait a few days! I suddenly realized this was just more of the same lame, incompetent service, so I went down and shipped back their defective product on my own dime again.

This company used to be known as HiTechGadgets. I now understand why they would change their name, and I won't be surprised if we see them pop up as some other name in the near future. Please beware, and under no circumstances put yourself in my situation by giving these people your business.

"Unbeleivably bad company. Once they get your purchase they don't care about sending your merchandise. After 3 weeks received 1 of 6 items, they may send the rest in a month. There is no phone contact only bad E-Mails"
