"Just got around to unboxing and trying my Temco Hydraulic crimper. I had previously bought a less expensive Chinese version of this tool from Amazon but was dissatisfied with the selection of dies and the fact that they're all metric. I like the Temco because it has all the awg wire sizes I might ever have occasion to crimp and it also has half sizes. First impressions with this tool are quite favorable. There's a bit of a learning curve but I expected that. The crimper looks to be very rugged and of high quality. It comes in a very nice blow molded case with real hinges, not molded in hinges as the Chinese version had. The case was damaged slightly, probably from the jostling around in shipping. I've contacted Temco and expect they'll resolve that issue promptly. I'll be using this to make cables for a DIY Lifepo4 battery build for my sailboat. Look like a great tool and I'm happy to have it in my shop. Well worth the investment. "

"Bought a refurbished TH0005 V2.0 from this store (via eBay) and am really happy with it. I can definitely see that the case has some wear and tear and is used, but everything is in mechanically great shape and it came complete with the huge collection of crimping dies. Much better than a knockoff brand for serious work and was only about 35% more than the cheapo (non-Temco) version. Hopefully don't need another crimper any time soon, but if we do this is where we'll get it!"
