"Very bad website. We ordered a backordered item, expecting it to come within 1-3 weeks 6 weeks at most, but it has been over 3 months now and they have still not even sent the item. We have sent 2 emails now, with a one week lapse in between with no response regarding the cancelation of our order and refunding it. Never ordering from there again."

"i ordered some air fresheners, lip gloss, and 2 hello kitty bags back in january. i got the air fresheners and lip gloss in a about a week and my order was split because i was told that the 2 hello kitty bags were on backorder and it could take up to 3 weeks to ship and i was fine with that but it is now march and i still have not received either bag. one of the bags i was told would ship at the end of the month and then i was told it would ship in april and now they are telling me may. and the other bag i was told would ship at the end of february and i was just told that it was barely getting shipped today. this is unacceptable. they really should not say that a backorder item will ship in 1-3 weeks since it is a complete lie. this is the worst place ever. and they charged my paypal account right when i placed the order they shouldve at least waited until they shipped my items. avoid a huge headache and shop somewhere else they suck. i would rate 0 stars if i could."

"My first experiences with this site were okay. I got my items rather quickly and I was satisfied. Until now.

On may 24, 2010, I ordered a Domo-kun wallet that was supposedly backordered. It said it was going to ship a bit later than usual, but I still ordered it. Still no new...I just sent them an email that I wanted to cancel the order, and now I'm waiting for an answer.

It's not over. On June 19th, I ordered a Living Dead Doll from them. I received a message saying it had been shipped, but surprise...almost a month later, I still got no news. I sent them a message to know what was going on, and they sent me an answer that didn't respond to my question at all. Yesterday, I sent them a new email saying that if I don't get my doll by monday, I want a complete refund. That I will pay when I actually get my order.

I have no idea if they're going to take me seriously. Anyways...I really hate this website and won't order from them ever again.

"Item received damaged and returned. They agree to send me a replacement, which was on backorder. After 2 months of not hearing from them I tell (email) them to give me a refund. They agree to give me the refund (of $98.95) but months later I still don't have my money and they ignore my emails. I'm convinced they are crooks. If you order with them you better pray that everything goes well. If there are any issues, you're lucky if they even bother to lie to you."

They advertise "free priority shipping" on order over $49. They sent it UPS Ground which took a while, but I received all items packaged well with no problems. 4/5 Rating.

"i hate Gk world. I also wish i had seen some of these reviews before i ordered from them.
When you call to get information on your order they never pick up the phone and it takes them forever to respond to an email.
My akatsuki cloak should have been here a long time ago even though it was on back order. Once i get my items i will be sure to never order from them again. I am starting to belive that they are a scam.

"I order a wall scroll of Full Metal Alchemist from them on 19 December 2009. When it still didn't arrive on 5 January. I send them an Email (since they have no phone number available)

I was told that the item will be here in the middle of January since it's on back order. So I figure, it was around Christmas so maybe they just need more time and 2 more weeks should be enough.

Then comes January 20 2010 and I got nothing. I email them again asking what's going on. When they are REALLY going to ship it and if they can give me a tracking number.

They said they will check on my order and now it's 1 February 2010. I will NEVER order anything from this website again. Starting to think it's a scam website.

"I ordered a number of keychains from them, and one was on backorder. I got the backordered one about ten days after I got my other items. I have ordered from this site before, and one of my main annoyances with it is that they regularly list items that aren't in stock. If it isn't in stock, then they should take it off. Still, when things are in stock, they are shipped quickly and the prices are good. Every item I have gotten from them so far has not been a bootleg, either."

"I had a decent sized order with these guys. About 10 items, of which half I had grabbed the 'last' item in stock. Of course, their inventory counts were off, and they couldnt supply about 4 items. This was fine - I waited for the items to come in and the order to ship.

However, instead of holding an item aside each time one of the missing items came back into stock, they tried to ship the remainder of the order when all remaining items were in stock at the same time. Being unusual items, this never actually happened. I monitored the stock levels on their website and can therefore say that every item in my order was in stock at some point in time. Even a company of morons should know how to hold a couple of items aside as they come in. I sent off an angry email stating all these facts, and simply got ignored. Sorry, but when its your fault, and ONLY your fault, it's up to you to fix things. To this day they STILL have a portion of my money.

"I had ordered from gkworld.com because they had an item in stock that my preferred online stores didn't (and looked more professional than other sites that had the item). My experience thereafter was amazingly terrible. I would have actually preferred some of the bad experiences the other reviewers here had gotten.

The item was ordered on January 7th, using priority mail with stracking and insurance (which was quite cheap), and I paid right after. The website claims to ship within 2 days, and arrive in another 2-5 days. It took about 4 days for them to start processing. I'm a patient person so that didn't bother too much, as long as I got it before/on my birthday (the 19th). The processing went on for several days, long enough for me to send an e-mail to ask what's wrong (they didn't bother to contact me first to explain the situation). There was no reply for days. I sent another e-mail later the next week; again, nothing. I must say, for me, the customer service is horrible, because there was zero communication from them (other than the automated order e-mails).

Now I ordered and paid on the 7th, right? 22 days later, on the 29th -that's over THREE weeks later-, it shipped out. The website should restate their sentence to read "Orders ship within 2 days or whenever we feel like it". On a bright note, USPS got it here two days later.
Lastly, when I opened the box, the item's packaging was damaged (torn, dented), some parts falling off; it was obviously opened already, because there was tape everywhere. Fortunately, the item itself was what I expected.

This was the first time I was ever compelled to contact the Better Business Bureau on a company, because GKWorld did everything wrong. As expected, I will never shop there again.

"I have to say, GKWORLD is either a hit or a miss. A few years ago, I ordered a few strategy guides and CDs from them. They shipped them fairly quickly and overall I was happy about the service. However, I had been trying to get in touch with them recently about cancelling a pre-order, but they never picked up their telephone during their business hours nor had they given me a response via e-mail. Today, I finally got a response back from them saying they apologize for not getting back to me and it was all due to them moving to a new location. Overall, I am satisfied with GKWORLD but I wish they would have been able to respond back to me sooner. At least they got back to me, so it shows they are reliable to some degree."
