"I ordered a plate carrier on 3/23/13. My credit card was immediately billed, despite the fact that 2 days later I recieved a notice that my item was backordered 3 1/2 weeks. A month later, I contacted Desert Deuce and respectfully asked for an update on the back-order; no response of any kind. Strangely, their website was CLOSED for maintenance. A week later, I still hadn't gotten a response, and their website was still closed for maintenance. I started checking into reviews of the company and found numerous complaints, several of which coincidently had also recieved a "3 1/2 week" backorder notice. I again emailed the company with no response, and when I attempted to call the number provided, just like several others, the voicemail box was full. Finally, I contacted my credit card company and reported the vendor as fraudulent and recieved a credit on my account. DO NOT USE DESERT DEUCE!"

"Add another to the list of angry customers. These pigs are thieves. They take your money in a heart beat and give you nothing for it. I ordered about a hundred bucks of stuff and was told after the fact that 90% of it was out of stock so I asked for a refund. Jessica Marquez responded via email to my request for a refund quite positively. Couple of weeks go by and my money is not refunded. So I email and call repeatedly. Now a month goes by and still nothing. No email response and just like the others here no they don't answer my calls and the voice mail is full, probably from folks as angry as I. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE THIEVES!"

"DO NOT PLACE ANY ORDERS WITH THIS COMPANY AS THEY SEEM TO BE OUT OF BUSINESS AND DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. THEY WILL STRING YOU ALONG AND PUSH OUT SHIP DATES UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE TO DISPUTE THE TRANSACTION.

I placed an order for a rifle bag on February 4 and was immediately sent a notice that the item was back ordered and would ship out in 1-1/2 weeks. I waited four more weeks for my order and then called the company. The person that picked up the phone said that the order would ship that Friday, six weeks after I ordered the item. One week later I called and no one picked up the phone and the message box was full so I couldn't leave a message. Subsequent calls over the next week were the same result. E-mails left during this same period went unanswered. Then, two weeks ago, I found that their website is closed. Ebay and Paypal are no help as they say it took longer than 45 days for me to file a claim. I called my credit card company and had the transaction charged back. Paypal is now investigating the claim.

At this time, I believe that the company is out of business and is no longer answering any communication.

"This is the first time I've written an internet review, but to be honest, I'm flabbergasted at how poor the situation is that DD have put me in.

I ordered and paid for my Condor Multicam QRPC, Condor Multicam Hydration MOLLE Cover and AltaContour Knee Pads on the 21st December 2012. As it's international shipping, I paid the ~US$280 on the spot.

I was emailed the next day saying the Condor gear was out of stock and ETA was 1 1/2 weeks. After exchanging emails with Christy from customer service on the 10th January, she was kind enough to ship the Knee Pads out free of charge immediately while I await the new ETA of end of January.

Without running through the whole history, I have since exchanged at least 2 emails a month, with explanations involving blaming Condor for back-ordered stock, they expect pallets of stock to be delivered to them and need time to break them up and ship out to customers, yada yada.

The reality is, it's now 22nd April, 4 months after I paid for the items. Christy hasn't been in touch once pro-actively, has taken up to 1.5 weeks to reply to me via email, and I still don't have an update since her last email on the 1st explaining they should be "shipping to me in the next couple of weeks".

Now their website has been closed for maintenance for a week.

I understand manufacturing delays, and even Chinese New Year delays to some extent. But 4 months with no proactive feedback, and now no website, plus watching numerous other tactical suppliers and even reputable eBay merchants receive and sell the exact same items while I'm still waiting? If I'd known I'd wait 4 months and counting, I'd have paid the extra $20 to shop elsewhere.

Not impressed....

I totally agree with this!

I ordered gear. Paid them with the order. Got invoice and soon after an e-mail that all the gear is in back order. After three months of waiting haven't seen no gear or got any answer to my e-mails.

"I am shocked by this store.

My order from 01/15/2013 include next positions from this store-
Condor CBT Bungee sling -1pcs
Condor 36 inch Double Rifle Case-1pcs
Condor Shotgun Scabbard-2 pcs
Condor Watch Cap - 2pcs

Total cost with delivery to Ukraine $312.06

They wrote me that they had problems with the delivery of Condor`s products.

Passed more than 3 months from the date of purchase.

I send to Customer Service more 6 letter with the recuest refund
my $312.06

04/04/2013 i`m received answer from Christy Styles-
"We are in the process of getting all of the cancellations done. We have started a new process to take care of cancellations. I have you on the list as URGENT to be refunded for the amount we owe you. I will send you an email confirmation once it processes through. We have kept in contact with you and let you know what is occurring with your order. Please accept my apologies for the delay"

My major mistake is that I paid the money not through PayPal but through Visa card.

May be somebody tell me how to get the money back.

P.S.
I`m client of this store more 3 years.In principle to this case, I got my orders in an interval of one month.
But this case led me out of mental balance.

"It seems that with the store can be contacted only here on this site. Therefore, as to the emails they toil not answer ... Why? I don't know. And the store is also closed for maintenance. "I placed an order with Desert Duece on 04/03/13 and promptly recieved an email stating that all 11 of my items were not in stock and they expected to have them in stock in 3 1/2 weeks so i cancelled my order. I have been waiting now for 2 weeks for them to credit my 324.98 back into my account. I call them twice a day everyday but cant get anyone to answer the phone plus i cant even leave a message because the voicemail box is full ive tried email but get no response that way either. My only recourse was to call the fraud dept of my bank and see what they can do for me. I will never do business with them again. "

"April 24 1013 update:
Called VISA to dispute the charge. They credited my account and are in the process of dealing with the merchant. Anyone else who ordered with credit card should give it two weeks and then call to put in a complaint to get your money back. Seems like Desert Deuce has closed their entire website now, it use to still load a homepage and then show the closed page when you tried to view any item. Someone has to be updating the website, so it seems really fishy they aren't even trying to contact anyone.

If anyone is curious here is the domain name information for desertdeucesurplus.com - the owner isn't answering this phone number or email address either

Ordered April 8th 2013, my card was charged the full amount. To this day I haven't heard a word from them. Never got anything but an automated order email. Tried calling, and emailing after not hearing anything else from them.

Started to look for other ways to contact them... Facebook link on their homepage doesn't go anywhere. Their twitter hasn't been updated since August 2012. No mention of them being on vacation, so really it's just terrible customer service. At this point I just want a refund, I've already ordered my item elsewhere and had it delivered.

Filling a complain with VISA to get my money back once the 14 day grace period is over (VISA says they have 14 days to deliver before I can take any action).

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE FRAUDULENT! On 4/5/13 I ordered some merchandise. I was charged immediately. I waited but received no confirmation of delivery or anything. I attempted to contact them several times via email with no response to this day. Calling was useless since they never answer, their phone, and their voice mail is full. After ten days, I filed a letter of complaint with my bank that I had been defrauded, and had that card destroyed. This company should be shut down for dishonest business practices."

"UPDATE 7/18: Came across this review again, so I thought I'd update it. I never heard back from Desert Deuce and had no idea where my product was, so I spent another $300 out of pocket to purchase a similar item elsewhere. Sure enough, the Desert Deuce order arrived some time later straight from the manufacturer. I attempted to get in touch with Desert Deuce to return the item. The bank couldn't resolve anything because I placed an order and I received the item; they don't have anything to do with poor customer service. I returned the order to the manufacture, which they were willing to help, but Desert Deuce was never heard from, thus I was out $300. To this day, nobody from Desert Deuce has responded to an email or returned a call. I think Desert Deuce should just be shut down.

Customer service is terrible. I spent about $300 on an order with 2nd Day Air shipping. I was informed that the order was out of stock and would be shipped by the manufacturer. Okay, no worries. Keep in mind, I needed this order ASAP. I emailed to verify if I would still receive my order in two business day. I received an email from Christy Styles saying it would indeed happen. I called the next day to follow up and she answered and assured me that she would take care of it. From that point on, my 30+ phone calls and 10+ emails were ignored. I had no idea where my order was, where my money was, or if Desert Deuce was even a legitimate company. I needed the product, so I took my business else where after emailing to cancel the order. I spent another $300 dollars on a similar product. It was shipped via an expedited service and I received in just in time. I then received my order from Desert Deuce (which actually shipped from the manufacturer) 8 days after I placed it. I no longer need or want the product and am going to great lengths to try to contact Desert Deuce to work out a return so I can receive a full refund but it is impossible to contact them, and now their website has conveniently gone down. I have also sought out help from PayPal since I placed the order with PayPal. I am beginning to think this is company is a scam and I'm looking into getting help from my bank to resolve this issue.

"The item arrived on time - even on Good Friday which I was happy about - and when I phone to inquire about the order the person was always helpful and friendly.

HOWEVER - I need to return the item, it is too large, and I cannot get a email response, and each time I call the 623 number an automated voice tells me that the mail box is full. I am nearing my 15 day limitation and I fear that I am going to be stuck with a flight suit that does not fit. Terrible post order arrival service.
