"Be careful of the upselling when you call to confirm an on-line order (or when they call you to confirm). My $399 camera order quickly turned into a $699 order with the addition of a battery and memory card that would cost a total of $50.00 elsewhere. They will try to sell you a 'package' deal that includes a 9% insurance charge. Live and Learn, I should have stuck with my original camera only order - that was actually a good deal to start."

"Worst online experience. Do not do business with them. Ordered Canon G11 kit for $489. E-mail requested to call for confirmation. RED FLAG!! Put on hold for a while. Rude customer service. Bait and switch tactics. Pushy sales. Paid almost $200 more than I should have. Said I need a no delay SD card with a jacked up price. Paid a large sum for battery that is included. They said I needed upgrade because battery was only 20 min. I upgraded to 5 hr. Paid for kit with accessories that are not what they seem. Deluxe camera is not big enough for camera. Tripod flimsy. Do research before you buy!! 25% restocking fee for return. Jeez!! Store address a deli. Can't dispute charges because they switched it to a bundle. Professional scam artist. Too late for me. At least camera works so I'll cut my losses. Feel it's my duty to share this to help others. What a headache! "

"I have been involved with many on lines businesses.
But, Until i met with Deltacameras.com I was never concerned with the way a business works.
When a business places something on line at a special price that business should make sure that they can sell that item or get a Penalty in some way. they way Deltacameras.com treats people and their business, they actually should have a large foot placed up their ASS'S.
I am being very nice the way I have said this..I wanted to get a camera like the one I had lost.. But with the state of the world today, and our Presidents plans I fear it is people such as at delta Camera that will do very well.
You all know how I feel about deltacameras.com now! Don't buy anything there..and have a Happy Holidays!

"I purchased a D300 that was listed as new but clearly had scratches on the viewer. I called and they insisted it was new and offered a 5 year warranty FREE to put my mind at ease. I have called 4 times and each time the representative gives me a "phantom" tracking number stating it was sent. Today is Dec 7 still no 5 year warranty. Avoid Delta Camera--they are con men"

"I purchased a Panasonic DMC-FZ35 digital camera from this store after seeing there ad and price.
After purchase I contacted the company to check on delivery........and at that time and 2 other phone calls I asked if it was new from the factory....and each time they stated that it was....
Finnaly a (manager),stated that the camera is REFURBISHED...
The ad does not say any thing about refurbised and their people said that it was new in a factory box....
I and anyone I know will never purchase a thing from this company..

"This site helped me to decide that there is no use to pursue this online company. I tried calling and was on hold with music for almost 20 minutes, thankfully and then I ran into this site while on hold. Again thank you all for your comments. "

"I went to the following URL: www.deltacamera.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=CNEOS5DMArK+II and found the Canon EOS 5D Mark II for only $1699. I then called them at ***-***-**** to verify. Instead, the rude Foreigner stated it's retail price is "twenty-two ninety-nine." I informed the guy about their advertised online price and he told me, "That's just to get you to buy. Now, do you want it or not?" This is an obvious case of FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. For reference, I have included the URL. According to their website, their address is 1002 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY 11223. I live too far (Fresno,CA) but maybe someone can go there and investigate further. "

"WOW! Wish I had seen this website BEFORE I attempted to purchase a camera from them. I called Delta first to make sure that the camera came with a battery and was told definitely that it did indeed come with a battery. I then placed the order and as everyone else has mentioned they asked that I call to confirm, it gave me that queasy feeling in my stomach, should have listened! When I called, I was put on hold for appx. 20-30 minutes and my call was finally answered by a NOT very pleasant man who proceeded to ask what battery I wanted with it. I said the one it comes with. He then told me that it did not come with a battery, but that I could purchase one for $89.00!! I said no thank you. (when I got off the phone I checked and found a battery for about 20.00) He said it would be delivered by the following Sunday. I called today to get a tracking number and after being on hold again for another 15 minutes I was put through to a man named Rob, who knows if that is his real name?, who told me that my camera was on backorder and wouldn't be shipped for 4-6 weeks and that an email had gone out on the 27th telling me this. I was in my email at the time and could NOT find an email with that information. NOT to mention, that I spoke to the man to confirm my order on the 29th and he never once mentioned that it was on backorder. He was very condescending and quite rude about the whole conversation. I told him after all the hassle, this was bull and I wanted to cancel my order. He said ok, done and hung up on me. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Deltacamera.com is a bait and switch scam outfit, which overcharges for their extras, refuses to send what is purchased and refuses returns without a 25% charge; they have refused to refund my money even though they received their camcorder over a week ago. I purchased a Canon camcorder online at DeltaCamera.com for $399.00 and received a call from a salesman stating that there was a problem with my order, that there was no battery or charger with this camera, then, when I agreed to buy both said I needed to upgrade my purchase to include the 5 hour battery (for an additional $79), instead of the two hour battery and a battery charger (for an additional $69), which he said he could send out immediately. He couldn’t send the $399 camcorder for 8 weeks but had a special for a total of $669.99 that could go out immediately, with an extended warranty from Canon for $119.
When the package arrived a week later, the evening of 11/11/09, I was disappointed to find only the standard battery BP809, no charger, a certificate for warranty from a company I never heard of—not from Canon. Also, there was a tiny tripod and a small box with lens cleaning fluid, which I had not ordered; all was not worth the extra $270.
I called Delta Camera’s salesman who was always unavailable and I left messages, detailing the problems and asked him to call me. To date, no calls have been returned. I sent emails to Delta Camera’s Customer Service, ****@****, none of which were ever acknowledged or in any way responded to, even though the Delta Camera website says this is how to contact them.
I called Delta Camera’s Customer Service several times and finally stayed on hold until, finally, Tom answered; he said there would be no credit for anything. He said the battery I got was the battery I ordered and that the adapter was used to charge the battery and there was no charger. Canon lists the adapter as standard in the package and the charger under additional items which can be ordered in the Canon camcorder Instruction Manual; the battery, BP809 comes standard in the box and the 5 hour battery is BP 827 and can be ordered. These items are not even carried by Delta, according to their website; they lied that the were sending them.
Tom said that Canon had no extended warranty and the warranty Delta Camera sent would be used to fix my camera, but I would have to find a repair facility that honored it and send the camera, if I had a problem. I told him that I wanted what I ordered or a refund. He kept rudely interrupting and yelling at me that I was getting a great deal, even though I wasn’t getting what I ordered.
I told him I wanted to return the package since he would not honor my order. He said he had to fax me a return authorization to sign for a $514 refund and that I should agree that I was paying $155 for restocking about 25%. I said there should be no restocking charge since Delta had not sent what they had promised. He yelled that the fee was per Delta’s internal rules, protecting them from “bad apples” like me. I hung up while he was still yelling at me.
I am a retired grandmother who shops online all the time and I sometimes have to return something. I never have had trouble with online products or returns and have never been called names by Customer Service. 11/16/09, I called VISA and was told to return the product with a receipt and tracer from the USPS or UPS. I took pictures of the package, packaging and address and I sent it that morning via UPS, with insurance to make sure they got it in good condition and cannot cheat me and, in addition to photos, I have a witness. Delta received it 11/23/09.
I Googled Delta Camera and found out they are a scam outfit with a lot of different names.
I have sent emails to Delta Camera’s Customer Service, ****@****, regarding the shipment and my plans to take my complaint about their bait and switch thievery to the authorities if I do not get a full refund, immediately.
On November 16, 2009, I purchased the same Canon Vixia HF200, with the 809 battery and adapter from Amazon.com , for $530.25, not the $669.99 Delta charged, and received it almost immediately. The extended warranty from Amazon.com would have been an additional $49, not the $199 charged by Delta.
To date, I have received no refund from Delta and not even an acknowledgement that there is a problem. I finally got one email from ****@**** after I sent them over a hundred large emails, including copies of online complaints against them, on Sunday evening; the anonymous person stated that I was welcome to spam them but would have to wait for my money because I disputed the charge—another excuse not to refund. At least I now know that there is someone at ****@****; I had thought it was a dead box.

"Beware of this seller! I ordered a camera body from their website. Later, I received an email asking me to call in and "confirm" my order. When I called, I was subjected to high pressure sales pitches to buy a bunch of over-priced accessories. When I declined purchasing any extras, they told me I was going to get a Japanese market camera with no english menus to scare me off from the purchase. They told me a US model would cost an extra $150. The kicker is that I called before placing my order to ensure they were selling a US market camera. I was assured they were. This was an obvious bait and switch. Stay clear of this outfit!"

"My experience with Delta Camera is similar to other complaints here. I ordered a digital camera on-line. The next day I received a call telling me that the camera needed batteries. What, I asked, no batteries included? The answer was no but it sounds like these guys use cell phones with lousy connections. Understanding what was being said was difficult. OK, I thought, I’ll order batteries. The $19.99 batteries would last three hours, so I was told and the $29.99 batteries would last 10 hours. I went with the 10 hour batteries. The camera arrived and red flags were all over the place. The camera appears to be repackaged. I’ve bought Canon products in the past. This box was plain white with printing in black...not the colorful box you would expect if you bought it from a retail shop. The box did not include a registration card...uh, oh! A “grey market” product! And the 32MB memory card was missing. (Why would someone take out a cheap card?) I was willing to bite the bullet on all this if the camera worked. I charged the 4 very expensive batteries that I paid extra for and they would not charge. (By the way, there WERE batteries included with the camera.) I packed the whole thing up and returned it to the return address on the shipping box. In my letter I outlined my problems and said I was returning the camera under the “100% Satisfaction Guarantee” as stated on their web site. I also asked them not to contact me regarding this as we had nothing to discuss. I held my breath. A few days later my credit card was credited with the full amount. Whew! Bottom line, stay away from Delta Camera or, if you’re willing to buy from them, be aware that there will be issues."

"Stay away from these people, website states...shipped in 24/48 hours. I kept going to their website to check on my order, it was in process, called them about a week later and was told item was backordered. After reading bad reviews, I canceled that order, called Camera Kings on Thursday and had my camera the following Monday...scbill"

"I tried to order a Nikon s570 from these people yesterday and as soon as I saw the 'please call to confirm your order' email I knew I was in trouble. This has happened to me before when I was trying to purchase a head unit for my car, and it is a 100% bait&switch scam. These companies get your credit card info, force you to either buy a warranty/extra equipment, or tell you to *go fly a kite* and cancel your order. Literally, they tell you they're canceling your order and hang up on you. You call back, they talk down to you again and hang up on you. They're running a scam, they know it, and when they know that you know it, they just cease all communication and become abusive if you call back. It's borderline illegal, but because they are not selling knock-off equipment & do intend to give you what you buy (once you break down and spend the extra money on the warranty/extra equipment), they cannot be charged with anything the BBB or any other govt agency. You can only hope the word gets around and their customer base shrinks to the point they're no longer viable. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this company and others like it at all costs."

"SCAM!!!!...............Placed the order for Garmin Nuvi 855 GPS on their website. Received an email asking me to call them to comfirm. Called them and waited 20 minutes on hold before speaking to the sales person. I was asked if I needed the battery. I said no and I was told how was I going to use it without a battery. I asked him if it was an open box. He said "no" and immediately told me that I need to purchase the "Map set" as it did not come with any maps.
He was eager to 'cancel' my order and was very rude.

"SCARY PEOPLE! I ordered camera on internet. I called next day to confirm. Was given incorrect information about what was shipped with camera (batteries/charger). They then tried to sell me upgrade batteries/charger for a ridiculous price. The salesman and then the manager were totally uninterested in the resulting concern I voiced to them. BAD VIBES!! Does not surprise me they rate 2.5 out of 10. I'm glad I canceled before any other problems."
