"Thanks DVRupgrade. I was looking for the most economical way to get my DirecTV TiVo back up and running after a Hard Drive falure (series II 40GB). I already had a 80GB drive in an unused PC so I Figured I'd try the InstantCake software. I'm not the most computer savy but I have done basic upgrades with drives and video cards before. The ordering process was straightforward. The item shipped before Christmas and it came securely packaged.

The best part was the actual product. From opening the package to removing my old hard drive and replacing it with this new much BIGGER hard drive, 5 minutes elapsed. I even read the directions!

20 minutes or so after the physical replacement, I was up and running (after getting my Tivo back on my home network, setting a couple of recordings, etc.)! This is a fantastic product from a fantastic company. I don't think I'll need to think about where to go next time I need something for a Tivo.
