"Happy with my experience other then I wasn't informed that I also needed a small amp wiring kit to provide constant power to the head unit, I used the feature that recommended components for my vehicle specifically and ordered everything that was suggested for installation and even had your technicians wire my harness for me, upon arrival and reading installation instructions I was informed of needing a fused constant power supply connection to the vehicle battery, but I had purchased all the recommended parts to complete my installation I had thought. Now I'm stuck trying to source something locally in my small town or order the wiring kit from Crutchfield at 19$ and 7.99 shipping charge, if I was aware of this at time of purchase I would have added it to my order to complete everything I needed for the installation. "

I had to make a few modifications to the DDIN bracket provided, as the real installation didn't quite match up with the provided instructions, but it was easy enough to figure out. Installation went smoothly, especially since I employed their ReadyHarness service, which was a massive time saver! Installation still took me a good chunk of the day, but vehicle audio systems have gotten kind of complicated, even in a basic 2011 work truck! Speakers took 15 minutes each and I only had two of them to replace."

"I purchased Kenwood KFC-1796PS (Rear) and PowerBass OE69C-TY (Front) to upgrade my son's 2008 Toyota Tacoma Access-Cab. The supplied Master Sheet and helpful links were awesome. The only hiccup was with regard to the PowerBass tweeters. To be clear, this is not a Crutchfield issue. The Powerbass instructions did not account for my configuration. My tweeters are in the door panel and are much smaller than the stock tweeters. Thus, I used the dash bracket to install in the door bracket (perfect fit).
The provided adapter brackets were not plug-and-play. The tweeter harness had a 7/64" and 1/2" female spade terminal. I drove around to multiple stores looking for male spade terminals and no one carried the 7/64". Clipping the two wires from the tweeter, installing male crimp terminals to attach directly to the new tweeter harness would have been the best solution. It would have been nice for either PowerBass or Crutchfield to include a set in the kit. I ended up using 1/4" female spade terminals, covering one with electrical tape to isolate them from each other and inserting them into the black adapter which had a 1/4" and 7/64" male terminal on the other end, which was then connected to the tweeter harness. This solution needed more electrical tape to keep the 1/4" spaded terminals snug into the adapter as this was not a tight connection. Also, in my case, the Metra HWP-0001 kit that was included was not necessary. Bottom line - I would definitely order from Crutchfield again. "
