"Prompt service, packed well, no errors, good price. Only caveat is that coolerguys also runs pctoys, except that the prices at pctoys are higher. No issues with the prices at coolerguys (I suspect that they just do a better job at keeping their "main" site up-to-date).

I would definitely use these guys again (in fact, I'm very likely to place an order for a high-end CPU heatsink next week).

"Ordered a Lian Li card reader model CR-36 and ended up receiving a CR-35. I researched the card readers on Google, and they looked identical except for the different placement of the card slots. I then sent an e-mail to Coolerguys to find out what happened and Glen responded quickly letting me know the factory shipped them the wrong order without noticing. He explained the card reader is essentially identical and also the price was the same (my main concern). However, due to the mixup, he did issue a credit of $5, which I did not expect but greatly appreciated. I've ordered from Coolerguys a few times in the past, and this was the first time having a issue, but they quickly handled the situation. I would definitely buy from them again."

"I ordered a Lian-Li EX-33NB drive cage on Friday, March 6, at lunch time. Later that same day as I never received any shipping e-mail from Coolerguys (which I always receive when they ship a product), I decided to cancel my order as I didn't need the drive cage any more, I did this by replying to the original order confirmation e-mail I was sent.

Monday morning of the next week (March 9) I received an e-mail from "Josh @ Coolerguys" stating the product has already shipped and there's nothing he can do. I replied stating that considering I requested to cancel the order before it shipped, I want to make arrangements to send back the drive cage without a restocking fee. To my surprise he replied:

"You can RMA the part back to us using [RMA_NUMBER_REMOVED] however there will be a restocking fee."

I'm being told I'll be charged a restocking fee for a product which they shipped despite the fact I asked for the order to be canceled! I replied back stating I want the restocking fee waived as I tried in good faith to cancel the order before I it shipped and was told it shipped - so far no reply from them. As of today I still don't have an e-mail stating the original order was shipped.

On a different occasion, before ordering, I asked if a Scythe 140mm fan had hole spacings at 140mm, I was told the fan in question did. I placed an order, received the fan, found out it's a 140mm fan but hole spacings at 120mm. I requested an RMA to return it without restocking fee as I did ask before ordering and was given incorrect information. End result was I was charged a restocking fee.

To all the people leaving great reviews about this vendor simply because they bought a product at what they consider a good price is what I consider a false rating. Good customer service is having the customer being satisfied with the vendor's handling to a problem, i.e. post-sales. Charging a restocking fee for what is essentially the vendor's fault is not good customer service.

It shows unbelievable *arrogance* of Coolerguys.com to charge a restocking fee under the situations above. This 'restocking fee' should be illegal in cases where the vendor is the reason a customer is sending back the product.

"I had a very poor experience with Coolerguys.com.
I had asked for the RMA number to return a keyboard for a refund. By by the time I had received an RMA number, the fellow indicated that it was beyond the 30 days, and had to go to the factory in China. It was only a $30 keyboard, and they refused to return it for a refund. In addition, when asked if I can talk to someone by phone, my request was not acknowledged with even a courtesy of a return email. Finally, when I mentioned that I would escalate the matter with BBB of Washington State, they basically said 'go ahead,' with little regard for good service. I am quite disappointed, and would not recommend this firm to anyone. Please post this to the web, and maybe they will understand how to treat a customer with some basic respect. Thanks.

"We knew we had a cooling problem after moving all components inside a new 70" solid wood media console. We installed Speaker Mesh on 1 door and switched out the wood panel for glass on the other door but had to leave the glass door open all the time because everything got so hot inside. Within 30 days, our 2-yr old DVD recorder died - we think due to heat - only used it maybe 12 times. After sinking this kind of money on a media console, a 65" HD DLP, Onkyo Theater System and Sony Blu-Ray - we had to find a solution.

We chose Cooler Guys for several reasons - they offer "Complete Kits", the Thermal Control, the Installation video, and last but not least > their prices are great compared to others.

I have to admit - I was pretty disappointed at first. I assembled the kit (it was easy) and plugged it in. The dual fans hardly created any breeze at all! I expected so much more! We seriously considered returning the kit. We didn't want to cut a sizable hole in the back of a nice media console - only to find out - it won't cool enough.

At this point, we had already pulled all the components out, moved the monster cabinet (it weighs 262 lbs) and prepped for sawing....when we faced this decision. Reluctantly, we decided to go forward. Installation didn't take long - measure, saw, add 4 screws and plug in. Our media cabinet made it tricky. The shelves fit snug and the fan now fills the cord 'pass thru' area - so we had to line up the fan with the shelf to perfectly fit between the dual fans. Just consider the space and how things fit first > before cutting!

Now the bottom line > what an AMAZING difference the dual CabCool kit made in our cabinet! It’s quiet! It turns on / off automatically! And most important > it actually cools the components with the glass door closed! I keep checking it to make sure I’m not dreaming. And felt I had to write this review. I almost never gave it a chance…..very glad I did!

"Transaction went very well. I ordered on a late night, but a few hours after submitting my order, I emailed them to make a change to my order. The following morning during business hours, they updated my order before shipping everything out. Shipping cost was reasonable. An email confirmation was sent after ordering with a link to an order status page at coolerguys.com which will have a UPS tracking number when ready."

"Recently purchased some dust filters from this reseller for my computer. It wasn't a huge purchase, but I was surprised as how quickly the order was processed as well as the packaging. The price was also very good since I was able to have my order shipped via First Class USPS.

"I ordered a few items and received them quickly and without any problems. I had to RMA a heatsink because it didn't fit properly.

Their RMA web form is a little bit awkward, but I was able to return the item for a refund.

"I bought a laptop cooler from them. It arrived to my house pretty fast. I had this cooler for over 2-3 weeks now, it works, the only bad thing is that its kind of small, however, it still does the job, especially when i keep my laptop on my lap. Thank You CoolerGuys

Bad News, my USB adapter that i use to plug it into my laptop broke, the cooler still works, but it kind of hard to use when no outlet is near by

I had this cooler for a little more than a month. Here is what i noticed

Pros: Works Well, Cools down my laptop, When i hold on my lap i don't feel the heat at all. Price seems pretty reasonable.

Cons: Kind of small with the width for my 15.4" laptop. Every once in a while i makes a "wissing" noise, it seems when the fans work extra hard to cool down the laptop. No other problems have came up. I will keep update later with more posts

"Excellent service. Placed my order on 3/25 and it was processed and shipped same day (no extra charge) and made it from Washington to Michigan in 3 days thanks to USPS (cheapest shipping).

Pricing is fair and beats out some major E-tailers. Overall great experience and would definitely recommend and shop from again.

"I ordered online, the Evercool Notebook (cooler) Pad NP-101 on 12-30-07. 4 days went by w/o ship notification, so I inquired via email re; the status of my order.
An informative and HONEST Rep named Josh responded. He apologized and stated Coolerguys were temporarily out of stock, my item was on order from their supplier and gave me ‘best case’ & ‘worst case’ time frames of when the item would be in my hands.
To sum up this review: I chose to cancel my order on 01-08-08 due to my need for the Notebook Cooler, sooner rather than later. (By the way… Josh informed me my item arrived at Coolerguys the next day; 01-09-08.)
This situation could have been quite frustrating, and although I was a little disappointed with not receiving the notebook cooler, I am QUITE HAPPY with how Coolerguys and ESPECIALLY JOSH handled the situation!
His responses to my inquiries were Rapid, Diligent and Honest! In light of how so many companies' "Customer Services" lack SERVICE and COURTESY, Josh & Coolerguys understand the meaning of 'customer service'.
Instead of 'passing the buck' or telling me what he thought I wanted to hear, in response to my item being unavailable... Josh told me exactly why it was delayed and what my choices were. He was straight forward and assistive out of the gate.
Thank YOU, Josh and COOLERGUYS, for a POSITIVE experience! I WILL order from your company again and recommend you. Great Job!

"I placed a small order from them for two computer case fans and a cold cathode light kit. The light kit I received was green when I ordered blue. I called them on 12/24 and they didn't answer the phone so I attributed this to it being Christmas Eve. I called on 12/26 and they didn't answer to I left a message and my phone number. Four hours later I called again and they didn't answer. I called again immediately afterwards and selected "1" ("sales orders") from the menu and got to "customer support" which I had been selecting the last two times. No answer (are you seeing a pattern here?).

I received an answering machine message and E-mail from Glen at Coolerguys.com apologizing for the error on 12/26 and he said that they will ship out a replacement overnight. Today he E-mailed me telling me that it arrived. I haven't been home yet so I'll update this later. So far, their recovery has been great.

The correct product arrived as promised. They even let me keep the incorrect lights.

"I have ordered from www.coolerguys.com a few times in the past year, I have found their prices to be very acceptable and shipping cost very low.

For some reason they can ship USPS and get it here faster than FedEx 3 day... Hurray for what ever they do.

I give them thumbs up... Especially if you like building Gaming Rig's (PC’s)
