The refurb Compaq C700 motherboard Code Micro sent me arrived very quickly in a box appropriately cushioned internally for shipment while the motherboard itself was super clean and properly packaged in a heat-sealed, antistatic bag. I couldn't tell that it had ever been inside another computer. Unexpectedly, they even included CPU heatsink compound AND a replacement "sil-pad" heatsink interface for the Intel northbridge IC that comes on the motherboard.

Background: The original motherboard in my C700 had died and I had attempted to repair it myself (I'm a power conversion engineer who has designed laptop power systems in the past). I "almost" got the original working but without a schematic, I could never get the battery charging function to wok properly...so I just gave up and went looking for a new motherboard.

Code Micro had, by far, the best price of anyone on a refurb for this computer plus (around 40% cheaper) plus they had a 30-day warranty on the one they sent me. So I ordered it and when it arrived, I got to work replacing the one I'd nearly fixed. About 45 minutes after I started, the C700 booted up and came to life...AND the Code Micro replacement worked 100%.

I enjoy fixing "dead" laptops. My kids call me a nerd for having such an arcane hobby. So I'm a nerd. At least I now have an excellent source of quality refurb motherboards thanks to Code Micro. Nerds Rule!"
