"I just recently bought a product from their website, not knowing about their past business decisions. The product I received was heavily used. There were scratch's all over it, rust in areas, and stamps or laser engraves were so worn down you could barely make them out. I contacted the company sent them photo proof, and they replied that I was mistaken it was new due to the dealer promises it was a new product and if I have any problems to contact the manufacture. I will never purchase any item from them again. O and something they don't tell you is after you have made a purchase someone will contact you wanting a picture of your photo ID shady much. "
"Took about a month to get the items I ordered. Sent the wrong stuff. Customer service was deceptive throughout the process. Charged additional money to my account without telling me. Customer service's response: Sorry for the inconvenience. Hope you have a better day! I've read that these folks are now leftists. "Their website has many issues with the transactions system. It doesn't work. I contacted them because I had 8 pending transactions on my bank account from them. They said there was only one in their system and basically nothing they can do about it. 8 wrong transactions of close to $100 will screw you up. I will never visit their site and recommend everyone to stay away from their craziness.

"I own a firearm business and had an account set up to buy from them with with a valid Sales Tax Form so I pay no taxes. I purchase from several different dealers and vendors and have never ran into the problem that I did with Cheaper Than Dirt. I use different cards to pay for things, some have my business PO Box address and some have my business physical address. They said since a card has a PO Box and doesnt match the address on the Sales Tax Form they couldnt remove the taxes. I have used the SAME CARD with several other vendors for different purchases and paid no taxes. So I requested my account be closed. So it was done and, no questions ask. They acted like it was no big deal. I guess they have plenty of business and money. That's a poor way to look at business opportunity if you ask me!! I will never refer them or do business with them again!!"

On May 8, I purchased 1000 rounds of 9 mm ammunition from cheaper than dirt. They emailed me two days later saying that there had been an error and that they would not honor the price that had been listed. They also proceeded to say that they would not refund my account until 1-3 business days AFTER they had received the product back from their shipping company. I emailed cheaper than dirt to dispute this and ask for at the very least an immediate refund and to talk to a supervisor. The representative told me that they would then start to process my refund but would not honor their prices. The employee begrudgingly gave me her supervisors name after I had to complain again. Although legally I am sure they are within their rights Not to honor their prices this is extremely poor business practice. Additionally, not refunding a customer until the company receives product back from their shipping company on the companies error is another extremely poor business practice."
"I'm always ok with pricing being higher........unless your company name suggests otherwise. I find better deals once a month at Academy of all places. This place might be cheaper than dirt but if you've ever bought dirt you'd know that's not saying much.

"First of all what type of gun dealer sells a person all kinds of gear to build and/or make a firearm as deadly as possible. Sells them hundreds of boxes of ammunition, products for a faster rate offire. Scopes for killing at deadly ranges, sends them emails daily of pages of rifles & pistols on sale. Trying to reel me In on a gun sale anyway possible, I’ve been buying tactical gun products & ammo for 10 years from this liberal gun company & when I spend over 1500$on a rifle their worst sales rep Kara Dearman sends me a email saying she canceled my order. She minus well have said because your black, we can’t sell u a firearm. That’s about how I feel as if they were to say that to a black man. She goes on to say we found information that could prohibit u from buying a firearm. Didn’t ask me if this was the wrong person or when was the last gun purchase u made which I would of told her 5 days ago! I have a concealed weapons permit in my state, a tax stamp for suppressed firearms, a clean record no felonies. I buy & sell guns weekly, my job entails that I can’t do my job without a firearm. This crazy liberal woman cancels my order without question & all the stuff I also ordered for the rifle,products specifically for that very rifle she canceled she wouldn’t cancel those orders. Go figure. It’s not her job to screen me, or i should say discriminate against me. It’s the job of my locals firearms dealer in which I payed 10 $ extra to have sent too, it’s his job to give me a backround check. She’s got her job title confused. Because the rifle is non refundable, well guess what I don’t see how that’s her dam problem. If I’m stupid enough to try & buy a 1500$ rifle as a felon & I know my backround check will fail & it says right there on the page plain as day”NO REFUNDS”. Then I’m stupid enough to get stuck with a rifle I can’t touch. That my local gunshop just got for free. & they made a sale either way. So what in the heck does this liberal lady care about if I want to buy a rifle or is it her job. She just has to simply confirm orders, send tracking that’s it. Not discriminate against me. That’s my local gun dealers job, & if she would had let them do their job & she did his, we would be perfectly peachy because they dam well know I’m good to go with how many firearms I’ve bought from them over the last 10 years. I’m not too dangerous to sell ammo & gun parts I just have to screw in a couple screws to make functional. Or send me emails every single day advertising gun after gun to try & get me to buy. But when I finally do buy one they deny my money then put my refund on hold so I have to wait who knows how long until I can purchase the rifle from another dealer who will have no problem selling me a rifle. Never will I buy from this company again. Their ammo is way over priced as is most of their products. Just do yourself the smallest favor before making a purchase from here, price check online because their way too many other great online companies with the best customer service. After all, these online companies usually stock wear houses full of products knocking the over head down of running a store. Therefore making their products cheaper than competitors not way more expensive. They’ve lost my business for good, & u don’t want to help fund a liberal company who uses those funds to have total gun control. So they can jack their prices for guns & ammo through the roof one day. "

After being treated like **** by customer service and told it was my fault my package went to the wrong place and they opened an investigation thru UPS. The UPS investigator told me that Cheaper than Dirt completely changed my address like they hit the wrong place on a scroll down bar and that it happens all the time. I called customer service back and the “supervisor’ told me that UPS was wrong and that never happened. She would not allow me to speak with her boss. She said her say is final and I have no recourse. This lady was a total **** to me on the phone telling me that I was wrong. Well,I decided I needed a wheel-gun so I ordered a 357 from Buds.
Good price,good service so,over the next few months,I got a Colt clone SA 44,and a SA 45 from em,too.
Here is where it gets interesting.
I called Buds and asked for a price match on a Colt Competiton Series 70 45 acp,which CHEAPER THAN DIRT had for $810.90 vs Buds $839 and was told they could Not match but they would sell it for 822!
I asked about trading a gun in for it and was told the price would revert back to the original 839!
I had read MANY bad reviews about CTD but I figured what the hell,you're a gambler,throw the dice.
I ordered it from CTD (THEY'RE IN TEXAS)Sun. am,got a call on Tues from my FFL (THEY ARE IN NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS) that it was there and I could get it Thurs AM.
AND
CTD had a special on the weekend I ordered which knocked the price down another THIRTY BUCKS!I PAID $791 PLUS$15 FFL XFER -AMAZINGLY IMPRESSIVE!
PLUS, in 2 phone calls to 2 different company reps,I was treated with care,respect and got the info I wanted in LESS THAN 5 MINUTES.
GUESS WHERE MY NEXT GUN(S) WILL BE ORDERED FROM!
