"Canoga Camera is an excellent place to order from. They often have items in stock that others don't and the prices are competitive. Shipping is very fast and the items that I have bought have been new as advertised. It's not clear to me why their items don't come up on Google shopping or on Pricegrabber, but I now check their site in addition to the others."

"I own an RPS 600WS strobe kit which I bought from Canoga. It would nice to have known that the flash tubes in the monolights can only be replaced by the Dotline company, the kit was in good shape when I got it. Shipping last year on a whole lighting kit was $27.52. I also ordered a boom that came shipped badly with a damaged knob that Dotline had to replace. This year I ordered umbrellas and some modeling lights and the shipping was $39.56. Luckily the items I got were themselves a bit cheaper there than at other places, so I did OK, but that's a lot of money for a small package, even coast to coast. I was able use an promo coupon to shave off $2.74. Later, upon further communication, Canoga refunded much of the original shipping cost. So, they are responsive to customer feedback."

"I recently purchased a Canon 5D MK2 kit with a incredible low price form Canoga Camera. After I paid online, they found the price listed was a mistake, which was much cheaper than the acutal price. However, they still honored the price that would make them lose money.
I live in New York, but always buy my equipment from Canoga Camrea. Why? Because they always give me the most satisfied service and I was paid off this time.
I would highly recmmmand Canoga Camrea!

"Excellent service and quick turn-around! After placing an $860 camera order online, their customer service called me to verify my credit card number and that all the information was correct. Their customer service is outstanding and the price for the camera I purchased was better than I found anywhere else. I will definitely come back to Canoga for all future camera needs.

"I wanted to review my experience with Canoga Camera. I recently purchased a Canon 35mm f2 lens. I was researching lenses to find the one that would best fit me needs in my price range. Upon my research I was looking at Canoga as I like the fact they are located on the west coast, as I am in Arizona. It means my wait, unless I pay a great deal for expedited shipping, is within the week I order, rather than a week later due to most camera stores based on the east coast. When I was shopping around the shipping on the lens I wanted was free; however, when I finally decide to get the 35mm f2, the free shipping was no longer available. I decided to drop them a line and ask if they would be willing to extend the free shipping as I preferred to shop with them, rather than Adorama who had free shipping on the same lens. They we nice enough to do that and let me know to go ahead and order with free shipping. I was happy with their promptness and as I ordered on Monday night, I received my new lens Wednesday late morning. I like the fast turn around and that they were willing to cover the shipping. I wish they offered free shipping on more of their products as I don’t know how flexible they would be on this in the future. I would prefer to keep my orders on the west coast. I have a buy local mentality, and if the local economy which benefits is next to my state, that may benefit our state down the road. I think they could really contend with the likes of Adorama or B&H via online sales if they would offer similar shipping offers. Especially for people who are located west of the Mississippi."

"I'd been looking around for a good price on a Canon 70-300mm f/4-5.6L lens (rather hard to do with Canon equip.) when I came across Canoga's site. Their price beat everyone's I'd seen so far, so I gave them a shot. I'm glad I did. I placed my order on line on the morning on Feb. 14th and in a short time I received a phone call from them as there was an issue with the credit card co. as to the shipping address. One phone call to the creditors and everything was set. I received the lens several days later on the 18th. I was extremely happy with the expeditious manner in which they handled the ordering process even with a few glitches on my part. I am planning to purchase several more lenses in the future and Canoga Camera will be top on my list for consideration. "

"I have purchased lens', flashes and other camera accessories from Canoga Camera over the past year and my only regret is that I didn't just purchase my entire camera and kit from them in the first place. Their website is easy to maneuver, provides quick access to stock information, and when I did have questions, I received friendly helpful phone support when I called. I have done comparison-shopping against other online retailers as well as retailers like Best Buy and my local camera shops and I cannot find better prices or a broader selection."

"Update:
Canoga Cameras customer service was top notch in handling the issue. They understood my point of view and provided me a 25% refund. In fact they called me! What a great first impression! Very few retailers would behave in such a way and therefore I must say this is a 5 star company. I would be confident in ordering from them again.

This was my first time ordering from Canoga Camera and so far I am disappointed. I'll admit I haven't contacted their customer service line yet to see if my issue can be resolved, but from a general first impression perspective I was disappointed.

I had ordered a Manfrotto Tripod advertised as new and on sale. Long story short, there was more then a few indicators that this was a previously used item (opened & missing documentation, scuff marks, no plastic wrap, smashed box etc) . Now I have no issue with keeping the used item so long as it is accompanied with an appropriate partial refund because obviously when I purchased the tripod the expectation was to receive a new item in brand new condition.

Like I said, just a bad first impression. I had high hopes for a third retail option (BH, Amazon) for camera equipment since they do have attractive prices. I will have to see how the situation plays out prior to making a final decision.
