"Do NOT order here with a European creditcard! This company takes your money but later notifies you that they have problems with the billing address and therefore cancelled your order. You then have to do loads of effort to get in touch with the customer service to get your money back which you will eventually get but you still end up empty handed. Avoid at all costs! "

Liars and Thieves

"Total horrible experience. Zero stars A tech arrived to give us our “camper class” and told us we were not supposed to be in the camper rather rudely. He said he did not have time to prepare, was not familiar with the unit, but would go over the basics because they are all basically the same, and only had an hour allotted for the class. As the tech went over the camper basics it was clear that he was not familiar with the camper since I had to show him several of the features myself. We were then told to write down anything that needed to be fixed prior to delivery of our camper. We several cosmetic issues that were fixed prior to delivery. We sat in the lounge for 2 very frustrating hours waiting on the Business Manager to make our purchase. After 30 minutes in the Business Managers office, 2 hours went by and our camper was still not ready to go. I was told the delay was because there was only one qualified fork lift driver to move campers. When the driver finally arrived with our camper no instruction was offered or provided on how to safely hook up the camper to my truck. He simply dropped it off and left. The whole sales experience was unacceptable. Once we were home and really had a chance to go over the camper we found several other issues that would need to be corrected. We immediately notified the sales rep the day after purchase. We never heard back from the sales rep on a status of returning to fix these issues even though I had his personal cell number, left 2 voice mails, and had texted him. So I called the service department. The service advisor and I agreed to fix the shower as a “waiter” and the rest would be addressed at a later date. We arrived early for our appointment. A service advisor spent nearly 2 hours taking pictures of the camper issues, marking them with blue painters tape, and then loading all the issues into the Service Department computer. Then we went to lunch. Just prior to ordering lunch we received a call from the service department. They would not be able to do the repair because of at least 2 things: Warranty work had to be approved and it would take longer than a day (the whole shower would have to be removed). I do not understand why the work was not already approved (since we had the appointment for 4 ½ weeks and why it would take longer that a few hours. We were very unhappy at this point, hooked up, and took our camper home. We took the camper back for warranty repairs on our scheduled date. We were told the repairs would only take 2 days. The next business day, I received a call from our service advisor asking about one of the issues. I explained the issue to him and he explained it to the repair tech. He told me that the warranty work had not been approved yet and no work has been started. I was shocked for several reasons. First and foremost, once again my appointment had been booked for over a month and Camping World failed to call in to get approval for the warranty work. No work had been started yet. I immediately told the service advisor to get my camper ready and I would be down to get it in an hour. Then I called the General Manager. I explained the issue to the General Manager. He blamed the pandemic and Keystone’s process to get warranty work approved. It is unacceptable to place blame on Keystone when Camping World clearly failed. He agreed it was unacceptable and told me he would talk to the service department. Upon arrival at the Biloxi MS Camping World my camper was not ready to pick up. I was told the forklift ran out of fuel and they had to go get fuel. I was given paperwork to sign that said no work was completed, I owed no money, and I was taking the camper. My wife was very upset at that point, raised her voice and said we are not signing anything until we have our camper. A different service advisor (not mine) rudely said “why are you giving me attitude? I had nothing to do with this.” Again, this is an unacceptable way to talk to any customer, especially a customer that has been repeatedly wronged. They brought my camper around a few minutes later and I hooked it up to my truck. My wife came out after talking to the Service Manager and was extremely upset at this point. The Service Manager told her he was going to “call someone to **** you from the building if you do not lower your voice”. She was indeed talking very loudly to the Service Manager and it was clear he did not want the rest of the customers in the building to know about the unacceptable service we were experiencing. Just prior to leaving a customer that was back in service with my wife drove around and apologized. He told us that the Biloxi Camping World had his camper for 6 months and told us why. He said “They are liars and thieves.” Buy your campers and get your repairs elsewhere. I should have read the on line and BBB reviews before I went to Camping World. Several of my camping friends had similar experiences with Camping World. We will NEVER go back to a Camping World."

Service Center is horrible - would rate below 1 star

"If I could give them a negative rating I would. We purchased an RV in Jan 2021, we have yet to use it without a MAJOR issue. We paid the $1000. 00 to have it checked over before we took it off the lot (not sure why we had to pay $1k for a vehicle that should already have been checked before it was sold). The $1k was supposed to be a further service check to guarantee the RV was ready to take off the lot. Don't pay it.

We have had NUMEROUS problems with the generator not working, The gas tank was for the wrong model (therefore wrong size... not one mechanic noticed?)…we had to have another mechanic zip tie it up to increase the gas flow until we got back to Akron service (we could only use 20 gallons of gas on a 55 gallon tank). The flooring was not tacked down and the slide out ripped it up the first time out. The carburetor was supposed to be the issue for the generator not working. We had it serviced but only to find out while we were across the country (in California) that the service dept in Akron never changed the carburetor. Now we are in a national heat wave, no generator, no air, no way to make food, cancelling our vacation and trying to find a service area.

When we purchased the RV, we asked if it had wifi and we're told no that we needed to purchase it. We have a receipt that shows we were charged $175+ to REMOVE the already installed wifi (which we were told didn't exist) and paid for a NEW wifi to replace one that didn’t need replaced.

Many, MANY more issues followed that led up to today... the Akron service dept called and said it was fixed yet AGAIN (it is an hour drive for us). We drive there to find out the gas tank is still zip tied, the generator still does not work, the floor was not acceptable AND when we asked for our $1000 to be refunded... we were told that $1000 only insured the RV was working the DAY it was purchased on the lot. It did not provide any type of guarantee... not even for the issues we pointed out AFTER it was supposed to have been rechecked for the $1k.

We were going to take the RV and leave today after driving an hour to pick it up, and were told we are not allowed to take it off the lot without paying for the service... the service that was NOT provided. I wish we would have researched the service center of Camping World as much as we did the type of RV to purchase. Lots of $$$$ spent on an RV we haven't had a single good trip in, and the absolute worst service I have ever had. They have had the RV more than we have in the 10 months we owned it.

Camping word Windhim Maine don’t go there

"Camping wild in Wyndham Maine repaired my camper awning during the repair they used some type of adhesive cleaner next to the awning arm.
The cleaner removed the paint.
They closed the awning and the damaged wasn’t visible.
When we went camping I opened the awning and seen the damage!
I sent photos and after a week of hearing nothing I had to call back to see what was fogging on.
They told me that the repair would not be covered because it was hard to see.
Don’t ever deal with these people the customer service is horrendous, repair work is crap and attitude is **** poor.

Again never deal with these people!!!

"Worst service of any company I have ever done business with. Spent 6 hours on the phone trying to place an order.
Things they got wrong: Billing address about 5 times.

First and last time dealing with them. Poor packaging and return process

"Valterra EZ-Valve. Box was not packaged in a shipping box and the retail packaging has no padding, and its a bulky item with some weight. What moron "Marcus" would ok shipping an item like this? You can tell by the twist ties on cord, open package of screws that this had been purchased and returned. That makes it even worse since it shows Camping World either did not inspect the return or inspected it, taped it up and sold it again. First and last dealings with them"

Im No Happy

"We order 2 items from Camping world easy peasy. But found one of the product for a better price else where. I called to readjust order!!!! tried 2x both times I was on hold for 30 + minutes. Never did get to talk to Customer Service! Then I emailed Mr. Marcus Lemonis never did received a reply. called his office line, once again put on hold!!!!
What terrible service!!!!! I'm not happy and Mr. Lemonis should not be happy either!!!
I'm not one to write reviews and complaints but this is beyond ridiculous. This needs to be address.
I will not recommend camping world to anyone.!!! you should be ashamed of your service !!!!!

Buyer Beware

"Buyer beware, I am providing facts:
1. As of 06/01/2021, Camping World has a 1.02 out of 5 possible points on the Better Bureau. (Shame on me for not checking). I checked Google Ratings, they have 4 stars. Now that I look a little deeper the high scores do not truly reference after sales and service).
2. Camping World of Tallahassee is on its third general manager and third service manager since August of 2020.
3. I purchased an RV in August of 2020 from Camping World of Tallahassee.
3a. The day I picked up my RV Camping World had to pick it back up due to "electrical" problems (after I asked them several times to take their time on the final checkout of the RV).
3b. There has not been a day, starting 9/1/2020, there has not been an outstanding warranty issue.
3c. When I ask my service advisor to follow up on the items ordered, I am provided the phone number of the manufacture, when I mention I bought the RV from Camping World, not contact the manufacture I am told I am being rude.
3d. They refuse to follow up on warranty items, I was told it was too close to the end of the month and their financial numbers were more important.
4. Twice I have gone in to pick up my RV and I am told I have a previous balance, yet I paid for the item at the time of delivery and was told the item was paid in full.
4a. First time they doubled the amount quoted and told me I had not paid for the item. I asked for the person that provided the quote and the person I paid. I was told that person was no longer employed by Camping World. Camping World could not provide documents that I owed them money, I refused to pay for an item I previously paid for. I was threatened by a Camping World employee, who told me they would not allow me to take possession of my RV. I had to threaten to call the police before that employee involved the manager. I was allowed to take possession of my RV.
4b. Second time I had a problem, I was told that I owed sales tax for some work Camping World performed a couple of months back. Once again I paid for the work when I picked up my RV, based on the first double billing issue from Camping World I asked "have I paid for this work in full?" the answer was yes and I was provided a receipt for the payment. When they asked for the additional $20 and some change for "sales tax" I told them I paid for the item in full. I was told, "paid in full does not include sales tax". In addition, I was told, "it was only $20 bucks, what is the problem?". I asked to speak with the service advisor who quoted the job and took the payment. Once again that person is no longer with Camping World

Horrible service. Don’t waste your money!

"FOLLOW UP REVIEW since last post!!! We were contacted by the GM, Mr. Davis, after our review. He told my husband that we would deal exclusively with him to fix the issues on our new 2020 camper. He asked for pictures of what needed to be done. We sent them. They hired Mr. Meadows( who we actually liked and appreciated) a local service tech from our areato come. We followed up with Mr. Davis to ensure that all parts were ordered and being sent to be repaired. Of course, the ball was dropped again. The underneath belly covering was not sent with the tech. When we called Mr. Davis he abruptly said that he had dropped the ball. My husband then said the problem is that your whole store is incompetent. We had been dealing with this since July. After a HUGE argument and unprofessional service(yelling and hanging up on my husband) and yes my husband was loud and called him incompetent, I called Mr. Davis and we were told they would send us the part and we could send him the receipt for the cost. If he thinks for one minute that I trust them on that they are crazy! As a leader (GM) how can you hold your staff to a high standard when he himself failed to do the job. I’m telling you, do not give money to this place. You will be sorry. "

Terrible

"I will never buy or recommend buying a camper here. We bought a 2020 travel trailer one month into it and it's nothing but a headache. Camping World doesn't wanna do nothing to fix nothing and we also got the extended warranty on top of the factory warranty. This is the worst customer service and the worst company ever. I really wish I would've read these reviews prior to making my purchase."

"Camping world of Bossier, La is only interested in getting your money. Purchased a new Jayco(-5stars also) towed it 15 miles to camp ground and the problems began. Contacted camping world said they would send someone out to correct the problem. Two months and nothing has been done. Contacted corporate and was told to hire independent contractor to do repairs at my expense. They are only interested in your money. "

Long Distance Heart Break

"After multiple long distance conversations, Ny (where we live) to Chattanooga, TN to talk about purchasing the 2013 LTV Free Spirit SS. With a 1760 round trip journey we left without the camper. Sales did not own the sale: back up camera broken, slide would not work in & out consistently, no oil change. The unit was not for us but they refused to return our $3,000. deposit. We are pursuing that with Corporate & the Attorney General. Just beware that CW does not sell RVs that are in good repair, profit first is there motto. Waste of my time and money which they were cavalier about. Stay far away from CW Chattanooga, Tenn. "
