"I ordered a camera from these people. I ordered on a Sunday and have paid for extra shipping for it to be here by Thursday as I am going out of town. I never received a confirmation email, and have called today and was told that it would ship today. I have still not received an email regarding my order or its shipment. No one has given me an order number either.
As of Oct. 19, I did receive an email this morning with my order number and tracking number and it says order has been shipped and is set to arrive on Thursday, just as I requested. I also received a phone call and they are sending me a free UV filter. Extremely nice, said computer system was being updated. As of now, will definately recommend! "I should have been smart and read these reviews before buying online with Camerakings. As it is, I am having to follow up and instead warn everyone else. Camerakings are a big scam. Like the other reviews, they called me confirming the order and insisting I add warranties for my Canon Eos 7d and lenses purchased. I thought I had purchased the warranties already, but agreed that I definitely wanted extended warranties. (I thought they were just looking out on my order.) I spoke with Jim about it, and when I specifically asked if I was able to return the equipment if it wasn't what I expected, he said I had 30 days to receive my full refund. Since this first conversation on Sept 28. I have called no less than 25 times trying to get an itemized receipt, trying to get a tracking number, trying to get the extended warranties that I paid for and was promised. They said the camera would arrive on Friday and Monday on talking with them, they hadn't even mailed it so after the sketchy dealings I wanted to cancel with them. No such luck. Now the camera came and the complaints against them have added:
1. Did not include the Tripod and lens cleaning kit as promised.
2. Original warranty was not received on 16-35 wide angle lens.
3. Original warranty was not received on 100-400 image stabilizer lens.
4. Did not receive Canon charger upgrade and two extra batteries as promised. They sent generic charger and battery which the camera will not recognize.
5. There is no USA original warranty on the Canon Eos 7d Camera.
6. The Camera – Canon EOS 7D Camera came in an open-box condition.
7. They would not send me an itemized receipt after I requested it.
8. Camera Kings will not give me an Return Authorization Number so that I can return the items to them because I will not sign a form saying that I will accept $4,844.99 credit on the order that my credit card was billed $5,699.99. That makes it an $855.00 restocking fee.
So in the end...Please avoid them. I think the world should be warned. They are smooth talkers but in the end, I learned the hard way that it is all lies..."

I ordered a Canon 7D from these guys. The price on their site was great for the body&kit. I bought the camera kit thinking I would buy the cf card and an extra battery elsewhere. A day after ordering, a salesman called me to add on more stuff. When I told him I could get everything local for cheaper he began offering me lower prices for the cf card, a 6 hour replacement battery/charger, a bag, a UV filter, camera bag and a few extra things. He said the total cost would come out to about $300 on top of the camera purchase. I asked him to put it on a separate credit card than what we paid with for the camera. Well, when I got my package, the camera kit was perfect, but everything else wasn't as good as the guy made it sound and the price came out to $440 on top of the price of the camera! When I did the math to what prices they had on their site, it was off by $190!
When I called customer service about it, they wouldn't let me return the additional stuff even though I paid on a different card. The reason was because the sales guy considered everything a "bundle package" rather than adding on the individual items. They said they gave me higher quality stuff that isn't listed on their website and only in their 'catalog'. I will never ordered stuff from them again. "

"I ordered a canon T2i from these guys. They always call you and try to get you to buy more stuff and way overpriced. They told me they could sell me a 6 hour battery for $58. I received a generic replacement battery that costs $8 on Amazon, and doesn't last as long as the original. I called and they lied to me multiple times. Their customer service was extremely rude, and I tried to return the battery, which they said I could, but then they refused and said I had to return the entire order or keep it. The rep on the phone kept interupting me and wouldn't let me finish a sentence. I eventually had to tell them I am reversing the charges on my credit card and hung up on them. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!!"

There is a good reason why BBB (Better Business Bureau) Rating is F (the worst) due to numerous issues including legal actions. Before deciding to buy read other reviews (especially negative ones, I suspect most of the positive are written by CameraKings associates).

I was stupid and naive enough not to check reviews before ordering Canon EOS-50D from these guys just before the Labor Day. Summary of my experience:
• They made me buy more staff than I originally ordered
• I’ve ended up paying ~$150 more than I would do with trusted source for the same thing
• The camera came in “OPEN BOX” condition”
• They didn’t send me an itemized receipt even after I insisted on it.
• The receipt was just list of thing that I’ve ordered with no price indicated.
• “Expedited delivery” was ~7 business days (I’ve placed the order Sep-2 and received it Sep-14)
• The sales guy promised “6-year” warranty, I got only “5-year” (which is the same thing, just proof that they’re LIARs)
• “FREE” staff is junk: tri-pod, camera bag are useless.
I was attracted by the lowest price I could find. So here is the saga:
I’ve placed the order for the camera and kit lens, however the next day I’m receiving an E-mail saying I should call the customer service to “confirm the order”. I call customer service, the sales guy makes me buy additional warranty, extra battery and memory card. The camera and the lens was ~$1000, the 5 year warranty was promised to be $100 and the guy said they have the lowest price guarantee for the battery and 4Gb memory card. He calculates total and it’s “JUST” 1345.99 according to his math (which I didn’t check), then he says I could buy a package for just $4 extra (so it’s 1349.99). I didn’t do the math and confirmed the order. If I did research online I could buy a similar kit for ~$1150. It was shipped only ~1.5days later, no itemized receipt was sent. The camera came in an “OPEN BOX” condition, I suspect some things are not working properly.
So it’s my worst online shopping experience and I learnt some lessons, the most important is: “STAY AWAY FROM CAMERAKINGS!!!”."
