FAKE NEWS

"I ordered an item from them which they claimed shipped November the 16th, having not received the item 2 weeks later I contacted them only to get the reply that the item ships in 1-3 weeks, why tell the customer differently? they don't want to lose a sale. 3 weeks to ship is not acceptable these days unless the customer in forwarned, which I was not, they provided false information"

Changed my mind on CJPony

"Decided to write a review on an independent website since every time I write a review on CJPonyparts they will filter and delete the post. CJPonyparts only allows good reviews to make them look good. They do have many parts and their website is easy to order from but they are many other that are more loyal and have better customer service. 1. Some of the items have video clips but lost of them luck any sort of instructions. For example, $330 steering wheels, $550 wring harnesses (not to set your car on fire that you put hours into it), etc. 2. If your item is on back order they wont notify your although it's been checked green on the website in one of their warehouses. If your on a timeline your can wait few months. 3. Probably the biggest is customer service. On few occasions spoke with customer service. Half the time they were helpful but only half. One time very rude about an item that I did not receive and hanged up on me. Yes, the line did not disconnect but it was their closing time so they told me to call back next day gasping and hanged up. Called to order brake lines but didn't know which set will fit my stock car. They told me the part number but it was the wrong one when I try to fit. 4. Received two items on two different occasions that were the wrong item sent from the warehouse. 5, You can find mostly parts on sale if CJPony is trying to get rid of stock or has too many fitment complains from customers about the item. Instead of backing out the item they will still sell it to you till they ran out. Some of the items false advertise. Example: item would be on sale. You go and add it to the shopping cart but then you have to choose the item color and most of common colors are not on sale. example black or red, again trying to get rid of stock but posting that all on sale. Conclusion. Although, CJPonyparts website is quite easy to use, their customer service is very rude and horrible to work with. No mater how many thousands of dollars you spend with them they don't care about loyalty. "

Damaged parts but problem solved

Terrible! AVOID CJ PONY!!!!

"Now I had to give 5 stars to post my comment. THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE, I ORDERED COIL PACKS ON 11/21/2017 AND IT IS 12/12/2017 I HAVE NOT YET RECIEVED MY ORDER, LET ME EXPLAIN. I checked on my order after the first 2 weeks and was told "It hasn't shipped quite yet", so I called the manufacturer, MSD, I talked to someone in charge and he told me they had plenty of parts and no order from CJ Pony, he gave me his number and told me to contact the parts supplier then call him back if I had any problems. I call CJ Pony back and finally got someone who could fix my problem, they called the guy at MSD and confirmed and then realized they actually had the part in stock and were sorry for the inconvenience. I will never order again and CUSTOMERS SHOULD BEWARE!!!! This has been 3 weeks and still no order."

Lack of knowledge of what you are selling

"Purchased a Roush cold air kit and it did not have any instructions to do the install. Roush was closed on Sat. so I called Cj Pony and tried to get some help, explaining that I was not able to access anything from Roush. The tech proceeded to tell me that their video of an install on a 2016 F150 was the same as my 2017 Raptor. The parts were the same but the Ait was routed differently. He basically told me to find someone to do the install for me because he could not help me. I was able to figure out what the difference between the video and what I was looking at. Good news is that install done and Raptor runs great. Bad news is CJ Pony has techs that don't really know about some of the products they are selling."

1966 mustang gas tank

"I ordered a 1966 Mustang gas tank. The bracket that is spot welded to the tank to hold down the sending unit and O-Ring was defective on 2 out of 6 spot welds. Tried to remedy the problem with Brad S at CJ and was completely blown off, said it was impossible. I sent pics and patiently explained situation, I put my mechanic on and he patiently explained the situation. Tried to follow-up since via email directly to Brad. So quiet with lack of response I can hear the crickets chirp. I will never buy something again from them unless they refund me the cost of a tank."

Either they lie, or they don't know the products they sell well!

"A while ago I purchased a Wilwood Flexline Brake Hose Kit Front 1994-2004 from them and it was shipped to Spain (where my residence is). Before buying it they assured me it fits stock calipers. What's more, they even state so in 'product questions,' (see link at the end of this comment).

When I got them here my mechanic told me it wouldn't fit. I called them to send it back and they assured me, once again, the flexline is good for stock calipers. I went back to the mechanic and I insisted but the outcome was same as before, so I paid the labour twice for nothing. I decided to contact and ask the manufacturer (Wilwood) and their answer was: "Unfortunately the 220-6458 flexline kit is not compatible with the factory calipers, these are intended for use with our calipers/brake kits for the 94+ Mustang. Please let us know if you have further questions, we are happy to help."

Thereafter I posted (or at least tried) a comment on the 'product questions' section where there is a staff answer saying the flexline fits stock calipers, which is not true and it is misleading. It's been a week and they haven't posted it. I also wrote a product review to try to clarify things but it hasn't been posted either. Instead, the comment saying the product fits stock calipers remains there...

One thing is to make a mistake, but they seem to not want to accept it and prefer that other customers buy parts from them which can't be used! Very unprofessional.

Trunk mat

"Ordered Lloyd trunk mat in black with logo for 1970 Mach 1. Does not fit around the trunk latch support bracket -- I don't mean that the fit is not that good, I mean it simply does not fit. The carpet in the support bracket area is about 2 inches too long and the mat will not go past the bracket and sit flat on the trunk floor but has to be folded up along the bracket.
Sent photos and a description of the problem.
Their email response from a staff member named Ryan --- "It's ONLY a mat".
I will deal with a Mustang parts supplier with better customer relations in future.

Zero on customer service

"Wow. No customer service. My review sounds familiar but ordered a bumper kit. They sent just the bolts and wouldn't take the bolts back without me paying for shipping.Bolts did me no good without a bumper. Really wished I checked reviews before I ordered because they all seem so bad. There are so many Mustang sites it was easy to find one with everything I needed. I won't be back to CJ."

Upholstery shop owner disappointed

"Very disappointed. My customer ordered bows for his headliner and they are red, white, grey snd blue. When I called and asked what the order is, they told me to go online and figure it out. Really? Why sell something you don't know sh!t about. Now I hope the headliner from them fits. Never recommending anyone to them. I have been in business 37 years and have never had a company so dumb. "

"Company sent wrong part and now want me to pay for shipping BOTH WAY.
Needed freeze plugs, ordered online with 2 day shipping. Plugs arrived and were steel, not brass. Went to the website and the site does not specify steel or brass. Spoke with ***** who said the picture shows silver plugs and that I should have known they were not brass. However, the website also shows the part is Fel-Pro but the plugs that arrived were Federal Mogul. So according to CJ because they go by what is on the website, they shipped the WRONG PART.

While they agreed to refund the part, they won't refund shipping and want me to pay to ship the return to them.

I am in the middle of an engine rebuild and will be spending hundreds of dollars or more on parts, but I will NOT be ordering from CJ. I'll find other vendors (Rock Auto, Amazon) that know more about customer service.
