"BuyersEdge has mastered poor customer service and follow-through down to a science!

I orderd a new GE Profile frig from BuyersEdge in early April 2011. The independent shipper contrated by BuyersEdge is a fly-by-night operation and continually changed delivery dates & times. The shipper would not confirm a day or drop-off until he was within an HOUR's drive of my house.

I also paid for BuyersEdge "White Glove Delivery" which stipulates in the online BuyersEdge Purchase Policy: "White Glove Delivery: This service includes delivery of the items, inside your home, in the room of your choice. As part of this service, the carton and packing materials are removed and disposed of. We highly recommend this option for larger, heavier appliances....”

Unfortunately, the delivery service dumped all the corrugate carton & packaging material in my driveway during a heavy rainstorm. I saw this after the truck left, and I had a soggy mess to clean-up. In addition some shelves and an outside stainless steel door was slightly damaged.

BuyersEdge has not responded to emails and phone calls. In fact, the BuyersEdge customer service email address (****@****) provided in their email order confirmation bounces back as undeliverable and "over quota."

Do not purchase any appliances from this vendor.

"I ordered a dryer from Buyers Edge after being unable to find the model I wanted in any local stores. I was a little hesitant to order an appliance online, but I have been totally satisfied with the experience. The price was great, delivery was right on time(even a half hour early! ) and the contact I had with both customer service and the shipping company was friendly and helpful, and I had no problems. The dryer arrived in perfect condition, and overall I am very happy with Buyers Edge. The shipping was a little slow, it took about 3 weeks to get here, but that was partly because I had to schedule delivery for a week and a half out to have someone home to accept delivery. I would definitely buy from them again. "

"BE WARNED. We chose 'Buyers Edge' for their low prices and promised ability to furnish numerous Bosch appliances for a major install. I don't sweat the small stuff. The new kitchen for my wife's enjoyment was my reward. ‘Buyers Edge’ thought otherwise. It’s remarkable how frustrated these people made me. Numerous major delivery issues. Damaged return problems. High prices for ‘advised’ hook-up cables/hoses (naturally included with all the appliances). Then to top it off the Lady on customer service was rude, divisive and evasive. She bare faced lied about deliveries putting my install from five days to over three months. Once I posted my original objective review on a website Buyers Edge Director of Service personally hounded me relentlessly (no exaggeration) on my home phone to alter my review to five stars for a single appliance warranty bribe. Months later I have never received the warranty upgrade and ironically I have on going warranty repairs from delivery damage. ANGER. DISSATISFACTION. AGGRAVATION. All of this and more is yours if you do business with what has to be THE BIGGEST RIP OFF SECOND RATE online merchants YOU WILL EVER HAVE THE DISPLEASURE OF BEING ABUSED BY. YOU’RE WARNED. "

"Bought a pair of Samsung 3D glasses at a very competitive price from there and was very happy with the entire transaction.

After I checked out I saw that I was not emailed a receipt but logged back in to print an invoice but noticed that the final price was different than before checking out becuase of tax (apparently I live in NJ and becuase they operate from NJ - NJ residents get charged tax) and called and spoke with agent Jessie who was very polite, professional and eagerly made the correction. It's this level of service that will definitely make me come back and shop Buyers Edge in the future. I also received notice of when the item shipped and shipping was also very fast and I recieved my item within 6 days. Great experience!

"BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

I PURCHACED A REFRIGERATOR FROM THEM AND AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS I CALLED TO SEE IF IT HAD BEEN SHIPPED.....NOT ONLY WAS IT NOT SHIPPED, BUT THEY WENT ON TO TELL ME THAT THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE ONE, NOR CAN THEY GET ANOTHER!!!
WHAT THEY DID TELL ME IS THEY COULD GET A SIMILAR REFRIGERATOR, BUT IT WOULD COST AN ADDITIONAL $300.00!!

"DO NOT BUY THROUGH THIS COMPANY IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION, ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT YOUR PRODUCT TO BE DELIVERED WITHIN THE NEXT 6 WEEKS!! THEY LIE.
You will save yourself a world of frustration by going elsewhere.

I ordered a small refrigerator through Buyer's Edge (BE) on 1/10 to replace my broken one. The refrigerator arrived DOA (broken wire on back). I called BE customer service and first thing, I was told they can only exchange it, so I gave the CSR my info and was told I'd be contacted by the delivery company to schedule pickup in 1-2 days. I waited 3-4 days for the call and finally I called them to schedule, only they never received the order to pick it up. I called BE and they apologized and said they'd make arrangements and call me back in an hour...nothing. After multiple phone calls and promises, I finally got the broken unit picked up...and I waited. On 2/17, more than a month after giving them $400 of my hard earned money, I called BE again and they apologized, but claimed they never heard from the delivery company that the unit had been picked up. She confirmed pick up and claimed she placed the order for the replacement unit and promised me that it would ship the next day (Fri.) or the following Mon. Tuesday arrived and I had no shipping confirmation, so I called BE again and the CSR assured me the order had been placed and is being processed - 'just hold for a minute and I'll get you a tracking number.' I was on hold for a few minutes before the CSR returned with my tracking number, so I went straight to the delivery company's website to track the package and it looked like the order had been placed that same day. I called the delivery company to try to schedule my delivery, but the CSR said that they hadn't received the confirmation that the unit was available in the warehouse. I asked if there was any way to expedite that since the order was placed last Thursday, and she responded that “it looks like they are entering the order right now.” It is now, 2/22 and I still have no refrigerator, but they promise that it will ship soon…yeah, right.

I will never purchase anything from Buyer’s Edge, ever again, and if you’re smart, neither will you.

"Avoid these guys if you can. The price they advertise is just to get you to order so that they can make a follow-up call to try and sell you a whole lot of other options and packages. That seems ok but it's done in a very unprofessional high pressure way. The salesman that called me got pretty upset when I advised him that I was satisfied with the product warranty and shipping that I had selected when ordering. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I ended up cancelling my order a week later after finding out that they had not shipped the item and appeared to have no intention of doing so. DO NOT expect to get your order unless you succumb to the high pressure sales pitch that will follow your initial order."

"These people are unbelievable:
* You place an order for a HDTV for which you are ready to pay $1300.
* They promise you 1 to 2 business day delivery.
* You call after 2 days since you order status has changed from "new order", and you are told that in takes actually 2 days to review you order and that you can expect a delivery within the next 10 days, except if you pay an extra $49.
* When you say "OK, I'm getting the $49 package, but I'd like to get my TV in the promised shipping delay or I'll have to cancel", they answer "OK let me cancel your order"

They are just a big joke...

"Would never buy from Buyer's Edge again. I bought a TV, and here is my experience:

I was told "free shipping" = delivery at the curb; who delivers TVs at the curb??

What I was told when I was sold "premium delivery":
- premium delivery includes:
double box for better protection
- delivery to my home (I had explained I could not maneuver the TV on my own, so curbside delivery would not work)
- regular contact from the shipper on shipping status, and to schedule delivery
- signature required for delivery: I would have the opportunity to inspect the box, and if there were ANY sign of damage, refuse to sign and refuse the delivery, and another TV would be sent

What actually took place:
- there was no special packaging
- no call on status, no call to schedule delivery
- the UPS website indicated delivery would take place on Friday; I had to make special arrangements at work to be home on Friday, but the TV showed up Thursday evening, as I was getting ready to go out
- the delivery guy was gone by the time I got to the door after he rang the bell; no inspection of the box, no signature and, worst of all, the TV was left propped against the door frame; I had to get a neighbor to help get it inside the house and up the stairs.

I phoned Buyer's Edge sales twice and left messages. I finally called customer service, who informed me that, while a signature for delivery would have been preferable, Buyer's Edge fulfilled its obligation if the TV was delivered to my door. End of discussion.

This was an incredibly bad experience. I would never recommend Buyer's Edge to anyone.

"we purchased 4 samsung appliances (3.6K) from BE in late oct 2010. upon unboxing the units we noticed the dishwasher was severely damaged (bent frame). we contacted BE several times (sales person, customer service, claims dept. etc.) for a replacement unit via email and phone. they picked up the damaged dishwater and 2 months later have not received the replacement. they refuse to reply in any way, shape, or form. we are currently filing a claim with Amex and have contact samsung USA to complain. from other sim ilar reviews on this site it appears this is a common practice for this company. filed a complaint with the BBB and they have an "F" rating due to long history of unsolved complaints. do not purchase anything from this unscrupulous company."

"Bought a Refrigerator from them. Purchased with their premium home delivery. They rescheduled the delivery 4 times and made me miss work 4 days. When the fridge was finally delivered, it was completely different than the one they had on their website. When called customer service, they were not friendly and told me that the display on their website is for illustration only and I should have checked with the manufacturer's website for more accurate information. Be careful when ordering from this vendor. "

"If you are looking to order with BuyersEdge. Save yourself the stress and RUN away. This company is the worst online service I have ever used. We ordered a gas range, the stove arrived on the date it was promised, but it was the wrong color. When I called, everyone was very sorry but told me it would take another week. When that day came, the stove did not. Once again everyone was sorry and it would be another week. When that day came the stove arrived in an open box with serious damages. Again they were very sorry. Now we were told that the stove is on back order for two to three weeks. No stove for thanksgiving but they were very sorry. Not sure what the game is at Buyers Edge but it seems dishonest. I cancelled the order and got the same stove for just a few more dollars at Abt Electronics in the Chicago area. I would give BuyersEdge a negative star rating if it were an option."
