Never Ordering Again

"I used to love ordering from this company. I depended on it to supply many of my ingredients for my small business that is growing quickly. Now, I am very disappointed to say that I will NEVER be ordering from this company again. I was recently sent the wrong item which pushes back orders that I need to get out to my customers. It delays my prep for an upcoming vendor show I am selling at. It delays the launch of a new product I had plans to come out with. My business is umy full time job and when there are issues like this, it’s a serious problem. As a business owner myself, I understand making mistakes. It happens. However, there have been multiple occassions where something has gone wrong or has been delayed with this company. A couple months ago I was charged for an item that ended up being out of stock, and I was not notified of this until days later. It wasn’t updated on the website that they didn’t have that particular item available. Every time I check on the website to see if it’s back in stock, it’s STILL unavailable. There was another separate occasion when I ordered and was charged for an item that never shipped. I waited weeks only to find that for some reason they never sent my item out to me. I am incredibly disappointed and frustrated. My customers are going to be frustrated. I am absolutely taking my money elsewhere from now on. "

Bad customer service

"They have screwed up my order more than once but never owns up to it let alone compensates you for their mistakes. They will also ship to you bottles but not the tops to go with them. They just quietly take your money, refund the tops and just send the bottles. This way they get some of your money but you have to wait to get the tops so you can use them. All you get is "I'm sorry" when they screw up your order. They sent me the wrong bottle size and all they did was give me a 10% discount for my next order and refused to ship over night so I can have a certain product at a vendor show and to complete orders. I will never do business with them again or send anyone there way for business.

Excellent quality ingredients, fair pricing, really quick shipping.

"I have been using Bulk Apothecary since 2013 and I am a regular customer. I have never had any issues with shipping, in fact I find them to be really fast in comparison to some other companies. I have never had any issues with the quality of products, never received the wrong item and in all honesty I am shocked at all those negative reviews. It appears people do not know how to read. If a product is out of stock - do not order it to smear the wholesaler later or blame the wholesaler for not shipping fast enough when you fudged up and did not stock on time, maybe? Seriously people..."

The best Lavender oil ever!

"I ordered the Bulgarian Lavender oil, 2 oz. and it's simply the most wonderful lavender oil I've ever had. It's pure and there's no antiseptic smell to it. The smell is rich and soothing, and the after smell has just a hint of peppermint. It's lovely. I'm shocked to see the other reviews here. I've had no trouble at all with Bulk Apothecary.

Their Shipping Policy is a Rip-Off

"I originally was planning ordering over 20 items, and even with the discount they offered my order was over $350 and when I went to check out all they offered was very high priced shipping rates from only specilaty carriers like UPS and Fed Ex. The anticipated shipping was going to be over $135. After careful and lengthy research found that there were better products from various other vendors that shipped for free. After about 4 hours of shopping around I reduced my order to only 4 small items and when checking out my order was $95 and when I took the cheapest shipping, which was for $35 for FedEx 2nd day air and after tracking the shipment, it looks like I paid for 2nd day air and it will take a week for the shipment to arrive. I guess thats why places like Amazon exisit and flourish."

Terrible customer service and slow to send out order

"I placed my first order with them in April 2018 and half of my order was shipped. When I sent them an email about it, they said they were out of stock and were about to receive more sometime in the next few days. It is June 2018 and they finally shipped out the rest of my order. Why do you still have it available online if you don't even have it in stock? Even worse, why don't you refund immediately and apologize for the inconvenience. What a terrible company to work with. Run away from this company and don't look back."

"HORRIBLE- ordered April 6th no response- no ETA- got the run around-No one has any idea what they are doing there. HORRIBLE customer service and company- Ruined a good contract we had because of their incompetence. Every excuse in the book and then all they said is well you can wait or refund your order. After waiting over a month for a shipment which was told it would be by today May 10th...."

Not as advertised

"You advertise Sandalwood oils and blends that do not have even have a hint of Australian,Hawaiian,Indian or New Caledonian scents. Even If from Indonesia If you are unable to get the product then don't advertise that you have it and sell some substitute.Experts will counter your claims. INDIAN Sandalwood oil is one of the most sought after and expensive oils due to Indian government control of its trees.Not until 2008 could private owners sell their own trees. They originally controlled the market until substitutes became available in the previous locations listed. They don't all smell the same but they all have a truly remarkable scent. For those who are not aware of the original pure products marketed 35yrs ago they would be missing something rather remarkable.The oil is yellow and thick in its consistency.It smells woodsy,musky but sweet and alluring.It would last for hours and hours.If blended it would still stand out as the dominant scent. High end perfume companies use it as the base for many of their products.Companies like "Organic Infusions" and "Bulk" will claim to have pure oils and sell substitutes to avid novices.When you complain about the lack of the Real product sent they are glad to quote to you their no return policy on such items or a return with a partial refund at your expense.Word to the wise: After being ripped off several times for the same product by different companies with false claims,if you are going to buy fragrance oils by mail please request samples first. If they will not send you samples then DO NOT BUY. You could be getting any kind of oils that could be mixed with any kind of chemicals that are there to help sustain just a small hint of the fragrance and could even cause health related issues. One company sent me a bottle with the fragrance saturated on the roller ball only and the scent in the bottle was a substitute. Choose your companies wisely. BULKS substitute was rather dissapointing. Thanks,But No.

Never AGAIN!

"I'm sorry that I can't give Bulk Apothecary 0 stars. I ordered 2 soap molds from BA. When the order arrived, one of the soap molds was not the one I ordered. The invoice showed the correct mold. I called BA. After waiting about 20 minutes for a Customer Service person, I was finally connected. I explained that I wanted the mold I ordered, and wanted to return the wrong mold. The employee never said one word indicating acknowledging the error or apologizing. She told me the problem was taken care of. I then received an email with a label to return the wrong mold, but no mention of getting the correct mold. Well, I've now been on the phone for ::hold your breath:: almost 3 HOURS trying to speak to someone about this. Yes, that's right. Luckily I have a speaker phone. While I've been waiting for someone to correct this error, I've cleaned my house, started dinner prep, and paid bills. I started out as caller #23, and almost 3 hours later I am now caller #7. It's obvious that BA doesn't give a darn about customer service! I will never order from them again!

Rude, Bad, Cost me a fortune, incompetent, terrible servie

"Ordered a critical product and told them it was a rush ship, for which I paid. Sales guy was rude and arrogant. The day it was supposed to arrive got an email towards the end of the day that it was out of stock. Called, waited on hold for 45 minutes. Finally got the same guy. I had to order from another place and pay 3 times the price in shipping because of BulkApothecary's incompetence. Said I would forgive them for a big discount on a less time critical order. he said he would be sure to refund us the money we'd paid. Really. Like it's a favor. Then he said that's all he would do. I asked for a manager, and he said no. His name was Tony. Really rude. Really unresponsive, really arrogant attitude. I'll never do biz with them again, and recommend nobody else do it, unless you don't care about bad service. "

Excellent quality essential oils, carrier oils, and labels

"I have ordered at 15 times from this company. I receive my order well packed within just a few days.

The products are high quality, comparable to DO Terra and Young Living. Folks from those overpriced network marketing companies really criticize other oils harshly so I wonder if they are behind some of these horrible reviews.

I have had nothing but positive experiences.

A lot of items go out of stock, but they are usually back within days and they email to let you know.

Once I ordered a giant can of lavender oil, and it arrived spilled. The seal was loose. It smelled wonderful and the can was missing a little oil, maybe an ounce or 2 at the most. They sent me a 16 OZ BOTTLE!! I was thrilled. That really made up for it and more.

I had to return a couple items to Bulk Apothecary and I was credited promptly and had very pleasant interactions with the young lady in customer service. I am kind and polite so people usually are kind and polite if YOU are first.

I ordered thousands of dollars worth of labels and they are magnificent - cost-effective, beautiful bright color and totally waterproof.

Horrible customer service

"They're cheap, that's the only saving grace. Listening to their phone service describe themselves as "superheroes" is a huge stretch given the repeated screw ups. They somehow sent my first order to a company in CA, then rather than arrange to ship it from CA, up the coast to WA, they sent it back to OH, then out to WA adding many unnecessary days in transit. On another occasion I traded emails with Vera (their bulk inside sales person) about my order. She then went silent for three weeks before writing back and asking if I still wanted my order. The lack of follow-up and inattention to detail is extremely frustrating. Turnover of their mid-level management certainly doesn't help. With our current order we've sent several emails inquiring as to the status and had nothing but silence. They've had my payment for more than six weeks now and still no product."

Great service and products

"I'm fairly new to Bulk Apothecary. I've used EO's for 30 years. I'm so happy to find Bulk Apothecary! I've already made two blends and found the quality to be at or above other oils. I love their prices.
Today I called customer service for the first time. I spoke with Toya with a request and a concern. My concern was more than satisfied with additional help on her part. Toya is very knowledgeable, honest, helpful and fun to work with. I look forward to trying other products!
I loved that their on-hold recording says you will be speaking with a superhero when the lines are free. It's true.
