"Their prices are very low because their items are very inexpensive items. Shipping is pretty quick, but boxes arrive in less than perfect condition. Again, probably because the materials are inexpensive in quality."

"I ordered an item from Boscov's because I was offered a free item as well (value $16). My order shipped without the free item and when I inquired, I was told it was out of stock and cancelled. I asked them what they would do to resolve this and I referred to it as a bait and switch tactic. The only offered free shipping on my next order... I ordered the "free" item 4 business days later, and it was shipped the next day.... I replied to customer service asking I be credited for that amount. At this time, they replied that they would contact me to resolve the issue. I will update this after the next step happens.
Boscov's called once while I was out, but did not call again. My credit card statement was credited for the shipping and the "free" item. I do not believe they would have done this if I simply lodged a complaint."
"I have never been to their brick and mortar store, so my only experiences are two online purchases with Boscov’s. Their prices are excellent and I doubt if you could find a like item for less elsewhere.
The first time I bought five sweaters in preparation for fall at around $9 per sweater. The strange thing was that the sweaters shipped from three different locations in three separate packages. You would think that practice would drive their shipping costs way up, however, they only charged me normal shipping prices. I received all three packages in a timely manner and in excellent condition - complete with all tags.
The second time I ordered a complete set of stoneware dishes (service for 8 including extras) for my sister at $59. The standard shipping price was $19 for this very heavy set, which is better than most places. I received the dishes in around 7 business days. The package arrived in excellent condition. No dishes broke in shipping and the dishes were made in England as advertised.

"Terrible Return Policy – They had a 3 stooges DVD on sale. I went and bought it. When I got home the first CD did not work properly but the second did. There was a manufacturing flaw. I went back to either get a exchange or if no exchange refund so I can buy at another store.
They happened to be out of stock and when I asked for a refund, I was accused of copying and selling. “How can I copy it if it doenst work” I asked. They would just not give me a refund. When I asked when they would have more in they said they didn’t know, gave me a rain check, and told me to come back later. I still havent gotten a working DVD yet and I don’t know if I ever will.
