"My friend self-published a book a few years ago on Kindle. It is a great book and, as with writing and publishing any book, it took a lot of effort to create. I felt he needed a hardback copy to commemorate all of that hard work.

Enter Book1One. I believe I discovered them via a Google search. Though the website was a bit difficult to navigate and the instructions on how to create the needed pieces of a book (cover/dust jacket) were somewhat confusing, in the end it was not overly hard. Also, I made a mistake in the creation of my dust jacket and Book1One emailed me with instructions on how to fix it. I am very grateful for that as it would have been so unfortunate if my mistake made it to production.

The final product I received is incredible. Far beyond what I hoped to receive. The hardcover book and the dust jacket look as legitimate as if it was a Tor release. The interior pages are crisp and clean and the map I asked to be color looks amazing! I am beyond happy with the outcome and will definitely be using Book1One's service again! "

I was able to speak with representatives over email (very fast response times) to answer questions about the ordering and shipping of my books. The turnaround time between ordering and receiving my product was three weeks (including international shipping). I am mostly satisfied with the appearance of the finished product (clean and professional), however some of the figures were missing embedded text. Although, I am not sure if this was the fault of Book1One or an issue with how I originally created these figures."

"I ordered ten copies of a thesis with hardcover binding on 21 August. The order was confirmed and order number provided. The Book1One web site suggest 10 business days to ship after order receipt. Allowing for Labor Day that suggests the order should have been ready for shipping on 5 or 6 Sep 2019. On 17 Sep 2019 after no signs of the books I had ordered I submitted a query to the Book1One Help Desk. The response came back that the order was on hold because of a problem with the cover file I had submitted. Yet for all this time the on-line status when I logged into my account which I have done frequently stated that the order was in "production." Book1One provided a copy of text that was stated to have been emailed to me sometime previously, but unfortunately that email did not arrive at my account. So while waiting patiently for my order, thinking it was in production, I was misinformed.

In the email informing of the problem I found out that the school crest I had included would be a significant upcharge to add. Since they display a nice foil stamped book as an example I made a mistake of assuming that type of line drawing is what could be done for free. That was my error. The free foil stamping is only two lines of text. That fact is not on their web site on the page where they discuss foil stamping and should be.

So I apparently am after four weeks, still at step one of the process.
