Defective Product

"We ordered the swivel frame and 6 puzzles. It took almost a month to receive, shipping from Windsor, ON to Mount Pearl, NL.

The cover for the puzzle tray was warped, which resulted in not being able to store the unit upright, as was advertised. Upon providing photos to customer service, we were advised that we were free to return the unit at our expense; no mention of even sending a replacement cover under warranty.

We will never spend another cent on this company.

"You better hope your order comes correct and undamaged because if you you’re planning on returning ANYTHING you’re sh#t out of luck, they’re customer service could give a f#ck less if you’re satisfied everyone there gives you different information it’s almost like non of them know how to run a business properly and it clearly shows by their 1 star reviews. DO NOT GIVE THEM BUSINESS."

Poor service

"I was a customer years ago and loved them. I revisited them last November and asked for a catalog. It is now May and I have requested a catalog online four times and by phone twice. Each time they check my address. It is correct. However, no catalog. I prefer the paper catalogs but frankly, that’s not the issue now. No one should have to wait six months to have a request for a free catalog granted. I’m still waiting. If this is their level of service, I’ll just pass. "

Dishonorable Seller

"Puzzle table literally collapsed and splintered. Bits & Pieces will not honor their warranty for THEIR product, because I purchased through Amazon. Amazon won't refund because it's past the return period. Consumer is SOL for this expensive an poorly made product."

Puzzles are of very good quality

"I've ordered 14 puzzles (7 - 500 piece, 7 - 1000 pieces. The puzzles are of very good quality. Thick cardboard, and coloring is good too. I have 3 left to do. Two of the puzzles were missing 1 to 2 pieces and two had 1 extra piece. Three orders: September's and October's came very quick; had to wait longer for Nov order, but expected because near Xmas and vaccine distribution priority. "

Very poor customer service and assistance

"Ordered a 5 foot fiber optic Christmas tree. Upon receiving the order, the quality of the tree was very poor. We returned it back to the company , well over a month ago, following return directions exactly. Still no refund. Upon calling the company, they show no receipt of the return. As we cannot find the tracking number, they refuse to give us a refund. As we are seniors, we don’t always remember where things are located. This is $136.00 they refuse to refund us. On a fixed income, money is valuable. We will never buy anything here again. Learned our costly lesson. Beware of this company, they don’t care.

Poor customer service

"We ordered a 1500 piece puzzle & mistakenly ordered the wooden puzzle plateau 1000. The shipment had not yet gone out, but they would not change to the 1500. This shipment could not be stopped & if I reordered, I would have to pay return shipping and shipping for the new order. Shipping total would then be $56. I was also not allowed to cancel order. This item is on Amazon at a higher price, but would be a much easier company to deal with. So much for supporting a Canadian company during Covid. Leaves a very bad taste.
I have to add to this review. The 1500 piece puzzle arrived before Christmas. The puzzle plateau was still showing as ready to be shipped. This time my husband called & spoke to Anna. Unlike my 3 previous phone calls, Anna was more than happy to change the size of our board from 1000 to 1500. It still took quite some time for delivery but the initial annoyance was simply their refusal to make any changes, saying it wasn’t possible when it obviously was. The end result thanks to Anna is that we are very satisfied with our puzzle board.

Charged My Card and Then E-Mailed Me for Another Payment

"Received the following e-mail from Bits and Pieces, 1 day after placing an order. If this review lets me post an image, I will show you the pending charge. They want me to pay, and they state the card didn't go through, when clearly it did. It shows on my pending charges.

Disappointing for sure.

"Do not ever deal with Bits and Pieces! They fail in every category. First, they choose shipping. Everything ships from the US. It will take close to one month to get any order, and Customer Service will put the blame on everybody and everything else. They won't give you options for other shipping methods. They choose the cheapest, and charge you much more, making profit on the shipping charges! A month to get a puzzle? Post Office is busy? So is FEDEX and Purolator, but yet a couple days is all they take to get stuff across the country and across borders. COVID is not a real excuse. Not for the leaders in shipping anyway. Nobody in 2020 uses either Canada Post or USPS anymore. Time to modernize or go out of business. Do not wste your time with Bits and Pieces, it is worth it to deal with any other company, no matter what they may charge, but in many cases, other companies will be cheaper anyway and offer better quality products. "

Worst puzzles ever

"Wish I read the reviews before I ordered. I am very good at putting puzzles together since I was a child. I played with , 1000, 2000 pieces puzzles before with no problem. But their puzzles are very hard to put together. The pieces come in random and weird shapes. You can't even find the borders because they all seem to fit on each other. It took us forever to find all the borders and it was so frustrated. Some pieces look like they are the borders but they are not, they just fit inside the puzzle! I bought 3 boxes and got a free 1000 piece. I helped my children finished the 300 and 500 pieces. Don't even want to open the other two boxes. So sad that I wanted my children to have fun and enjoy playing jigsaw puzzles like me, but now I made them so frustrated and don't want to do it anymore. "

Horrendous customer service - say yourself the trouble

"Placed a double order in error {you don't get a confirmation email after making a purchase until 3 days after so I thought the order didn't go through so placed a second time}. Emailed immediately after figuring out. Sent countless emails and tried to reach by phone over a dozen times with no success. I placed my order 2 weeks ago. They just charged my credit card for both orders and shipped them anyways despite my many attempts to cancel it. And now not only am I not being reimbursed for the original shipping fees I was charged, but I have to pay out of pocket to return the order I tried to cancel multiple times BEFORE it was processed or shipped.

Spoke to a supervisor on the phone who said she was going to take care of this for me. Waited until I was off the phone to send me an email saying they weren't covering the charges.

Pieces fit multiple places .

"Not a quality puzzle. Pieces are all the same shape and some fit in multiple places. I puzzle all the time and it is frustrating to have issues putting border together because pieces are fitting perfectly in the wrong place. Will not buy again"

Very Bad Company Do not ordered anything

"Hi all,

I give them 1 star as there is no options for zero stars....
Please don't order anything from this website. I placed an order on the 03.04.2020 for a puzzle 1000 pieces.
I waited 2 weeks, nothing arrived. I called "Bits and pieces"customers service", I waited 30 mn charging my phone every minutes.
The customer service said that they run out of my item. I asked them what about communication? Why I didn't received any email about that? Anyway, they said I will received my refund in two weeks time. 2 weeks time are gone, I called them again today 01.05.2020, The customer service said that a CHEQUE has been issue to me on the 29.04.2020.
1- Why should a get a cheque? I paid with money-this is not the time to go to bank.
2- Why this check has been issued only on the 29.04.2020 when i called them 2 weeks ago?
3-Why they don't communicate? Answering emails- updating you about any delays
4-Don't use COVID-19 to cover your delays.
5- Poor service-No communication with customer- not a fair company as they pay you back with cheque instead of money.

Can this be a couple negative stars??

"These people are crooks at a time like this! They advertised you could order any number of puzzles for a $5 S&H fee. After charging me immediately, they gradually narrowed the number of puzzles they could send to ONE. In other words, a $9 puzzle with a $5 fee plus tax. These people make me sick. FRAUD! The puzzle is why do they get away with it?"
