"I researched the price of the camera I wanted extensively. Found the best total price with shipping at Bilibi.com. The web site looked legitimate with a phone number and street address, so I placed my "on line" order. Shortly after placing my order I heard about resellerratings.com, and came here to check out their rating. After reading through the comments it was obvious to me that if I insisted on buying only the camera, I probably wouldn't get it. My take is that they price the camera below what they can afford to sell it for, and then make it up on the accessories. So when the call came from Bilibi a couple of days after my order, I was prepared to try and deal on some accessories or cancel my order. The salesman tried to pitch me the higher priced accessories. But, I ended up ordering a modestly priced accessory that I needed anyway. He was willing to give me the sale price which was a little more than I could have bought it for elswhere. But, there was no additional shipping. All, in all it was still a great deal. They shipped right away and everything was as described. The accessory was a quality unit, actually better than I expected. The salesman "Mitch" wasn't too pushy, and was pleasant to negotiate with. My experience was, that if you have good negotiation skills, and don't demand but give and take a little, they still cut you a darn good deal. Some see the "options package" policy as a bit unethical. But, my whole package was over $100 less than the camera alone at amazon.com."

"We ordered a Nikon 5700 on Sept 9th, 2002 online, they e-mailed us and told us to call about our order where the proceded to try and sale us additional merchandise. We told them all we wanted was the camera to which they replied that it would be 4 to 6 weeks before delivery, I checked on our order status today 10/14/2002 and they cancelled it without contacting us. I'm not sure what recourse I have but I'm going to check into reporting them wherever I can!"

"Don't, don't, don't waste your time. Price is pure b.s., simply a lure to get you to listen to hard sell on worthless accessories. No accessories, no deal. P.S. I came back to look at these comments on 11.7 and was amused to see the next comment, by gfed on 10/11 who ordered the same product I had inquired about. My order was cancelled without notice to me (after I said I wouldn't buy the accessories) and when I called I was told they were completely out of the Nikon 5700 cameras and wouldn't have them in for 3 or 4 weeks, hence the cancellation. Gosh, the cameras suddenly appeared on site when gfed agreed to buy some accessories. Its a miracle!"

"Like many (most?) of the NY online camera stores, their pricing is a scam.

They advertise low camera prices but wont actually sell you the camera unless you order a bunch of ultra high priced accessories.

Save yourself some time, STAY AWAY.

Ordered an E-20N Olympus digital camera (Order # PR5007636) on THURS 8/09/02 from PriceIt4Less sales rep SAL.
He promised the best price on this camera was $1299 plus $150 for a 5-year MACK
DIGITAL CAMERA WARRANTY + shipping. Total order came to $1440.00. I acted in
good faith but I asked him many times if he was he sure that the MACK camera warranty was valid for
5 additional years on this camera and he reassured me that I had nothing to worry about that his company backed this up 100% and he sold 300 camera warranties a week, not to worry.

So the next day after my order was placed I called the MACK Camera warranty CO. in New Jersey ***-***-**** and had several conversations with a very helpful sales rep. Barry at X114. He said that since the E-20N Olympus digital camera was valued at over $1000 the only guarantee that his company would back was a 3-year professional camera warranty. The 3yr warranty was never offered to me by the sales rep at PriceIt4less. Barry told me that PriceIt4Less was doing business as another internet storefront for the parent company Biliby.com and that he would call them and discuss the warranty that they sold me for 5-years. In the meantime I went back to the PriceIt4Less website and looked up their return policy at http://www.priceit4less.com/shop/ReturnPolicy.asp and under item 5 found:

5) Repairs on defective merchandise are handled by the manufacturer and not by
Bilibi.com, unless otherwise indicated on this receipt.

This verified that the information MACK Co. gave me about PriceIt4Less was correct. Next I went to the Biliby.com site and looked up the selling price of the E-20N camera and it was listed for $1089.00. This was some $200 cheaper than what I paid PriceIt4Less.

Now my trust in PriceIt4Less was destroyed. The next day I got back to Barry at the MACK CO. and he told me that he had discussed the warranty issue with Elliot at PriceIt4Less ***-***-**** X306 and that I should call him and he will take care of it. I call PriceIt4Less and got Elliot on the phone. Elliot acts like he doesn't know anything about Barry's phone call. If that's so then why did Barry from MACK WARRANTY CO. give me Elliots phone number all the honest info on PriceIt4Less? I tried to tell Elliot that I spoke to the highest person I could get to at MACK Warranty CO. and Barry basically told me that the 5-year warranty PriceIt4Less is selling for this camera doesn't exist and I want the $150 for the warranty credited back to my credit card. Elliot flippantly responds to my request, "we can't do that , if you want just cancel your order" . Up to that point I could have worked something out but that deceptive and arrogant treatment I will not take from PriceIt4Less or any company. I told Elliot okay if that's the way you do business I will cancel the order by not accepting the package delivery from UPS and would request that the camera and warranty be returned to PriceIt4Less (really Biliby.com located at 144 Avenue T, Brooklyn, NY 11223).

I called my credit card company and protested the bill and gave them the details of my transaction with PriceIt4Less asking for a full refund of the $1440 purchase price due to misinformation and deceptive sales practices on behalf of the PriceIt4Less internet merchant. I also called UPS and refused delivery
of the package from PriceIt4Less and was given a return tracking # 1Z 931 Y5Y 03 4056 939 4 .
I would not recommend purchasing from them even though the price seems cheaper in the beginning. Spend your money elsewhere!!!!!

"No Chance for an invoice. Did not want to order add-ons so the camera, Minolta 7i, was out of stock. I called Priceler and I spoke to the same sales person that answered when I contacted Billibi. Defintely an awkward moment but the camera was still out of stock. I had a co-worker call Billibi for the same camera and he was also ordering a 512mb compact flash, an extra lense and batteries. The camera was magically in stock and would ship on 8/13/02. These people should not be allowed to advertise a price that they are not going to sell at.

"Ordered an Olympus C4040Z camera from the Bilibi.com website on May 13. Got a call from on May 16 and it's a salesman from Bilibi trying to hardsell me on REALLY overpriced accessories. I refuse everything he offers and then he tells me the basic camera I ordered is out of stock. However, they have "kits" in stock which consist of the same camera I want packaged with some accessories for $200 more. Turns out the accessories are cheap off-brand crap with a total value of $50 if I bought them locally, plus the "kit" is put together by Bilibi, not the manufacturer (meaning that they actually do have the cameras, but won't sell them unless you buy $200 worth of garbage). I cancel the order because I can get the camera for that price locally.

Later, I see they drop the camera price on their website by $30, so I call thinking they've now got the camera in stock. You guessed it, they still don't have the camera in stock but they do have the kits ($230 more, this time). They have no idea when the basic camera will be in stock again, nor can they tell me why the price is now lower even though they don't have the item to sell.

Bilibi was the second of four NYC-area online camera resellers that pulled the same scam: No accessories, no camera.

"Place the order 1 month ago and never arrive. Call the company and found out that my order has been CANCELLED since they "ran out of stock". The operator was in a hurry to hangup the phone after telling me that my order been cancelled. Never give you a chance to react.

Another site that will not sell if you don't buy their highly markup accesories.

"Put in an order for a Sony dcr-trv 900 on March 3rd. Was told it was in stock. After declining the pitch for accessories, I was told to expect order to arrive within 2 to 3 weeks. Got an e-mail on March 11th explaining the item was on back order and expect the order to be fulfilled within 3 to 4 weeks. Called April 26th. I asked if the Sony DCR TRV900 is in stock and the answer was "yes." I then asked to speak to someone about my order. He said he could. He looked it up and said "yes, your order was taken." I asked where then is the camera. " Oh, you are number 126 on the list, there are 125 people ahead of you." How long should I expect to wait. He said another 3 to 4 weeks.
2 1/2 to 3 months to fill an order?
I cancelled my order..

Day1: order Olympus Digital Camera ($500). Decline unnecessary extras.
InStock becomes 2 week delay.

Each availability deadline passes and when I phone, camera is out of stock.

Day50: after several further phone calls to me to 'confim order', camera
is still not available for "ten more days". Cancel order.
